one minor detail, sometimes people just call connecting rods "rods" because someone decided that everything nowadays must be the lowest number of syllables possible.
Two things:
Fuselage fillCutFace is just a true/false that states whether the cut face will be textured or if you will just be able to see through the cut open section.
You should also add collider under the fuselage section which includes Auto, Basic, ConvexMesh, and NonConvexMesh. They each modify the collisions of a fuselage block. Auto is the default. Basic does not seem to change anything from Auto but it was in the beta changelog so either it does something or it is no longer used. ConvexMesh makes the fuselage collider change based on the corner type instead of always having rectangular collisions. NonConvexMesh does the same as ConvexMesh but also allows hollow fuselage blocks to act hollow in the designer (but does not have hollow physics in game due to physics limitations).

Put the activation group on the thing the control base controls rather than the control base itself.
That is how it would work In real life too. you wouldn't disable a joystick and have it just magically lock into place. It would still move but have no output.
I don't brutally slaughter innocent cows, I trap them in a tiny cage and mass inbreed them just to trap all of their babies in a room in which they live a great long malnourished life all until they ripen into cows a couple inches taller and are then subject to genocide in the form of a painful fiery death and then sent through a pipe all the way to my villager breeder where I shamelessly force thousands of people to breed against their will just to trap them and kill the ones that refuse to do cheap trading and labor, and proceed to trick, scam, and abuse the villagers by purposefully putting them in the way of undead brain-eating zombies just so the villagers to accept way lower than what the infinite number of cow hides being shipped my way are worth, just to unfairly obtain copious amounts of rare crystals from them to feed my never ending greed for deforestation and high quantities of material gain.
For the input of the control base put for example, "Pitch * clamp01(Activate1)"
if Activation Group 1 is not active then it will give a value of zero, which cancels out anything else multiplied by it. Turn activation group 1 back on and everything else multiplied by it will function as normal.
@MilotPario quality does not equal upvotes. Many factors, from screenshots, descriptions, publisher, time of day published, time since published, teasers, lucky spotlights, comedic value, playability, and more go into how many upvotes you will get.
some posts get an unfair number of upvotes. just take the German Corsair for example. also mobile players are what drive the website. mobile friendly posts just do better.

The decision has already been made, which is unfortunate, but to be fair I don't think people are going to vote for popular player's planes into vr as much as people are going to see planes that they would like in vr and upvote them. Also, currently, there are hardly any planes in each of the categories, so i do not believe that smaller creators are going to get less attention. There is only 1 experimental plane and like 10 civilian.
i definitely agree with the torque one though. we should be able to change the ratio of rpms to torque. i do know that jamesPlanes sort of did it with FT code in an engine with some formula like: Pitch / GS
@Formula350 im not saying it's perfect, but as rexzion said on the uservoice, you can it's not that pressing of a problem as you can just take away the drag with xml.
@Johnnyynf It might just be the way the physics work. I'm no coder, but for example take the formula:
rotation speed cubed=force
with a low amount of force, ex. 1 newton of force = 1 rotation speed
with a high amount of force, ex 5 newtons = 1.7 rotation speed
with a really high amount of force, 20 newtons = 2.7 rotation speed
with 200 newtons force = 5.8 rotation speed
eventually, adding more force barely changes the rotation speed at all, and the graph just looks like a flat line
