Sorry I'm late, but may I suggest a C4 Corvette ZR1? It's a 1990s Chevy with a Lotus-designed DOHC (dual overhead cam) V8 making approximately 375 horsepower.
FYI, if you set one rotor of the two main rotors to reverse rotation, you don't need a tail rotor. You will however need either a gyroscope or a vertical stabilizer if you want to yaw, though.
