Yeah, other than the obvious problem that the fuselage art has more parts than most aircrafts, no problem... Yeah, I know it probably means "Art made using fuselage parts" but I just felt it obligatory to say so... P.S.: Amazing art!
@LeonardoEngineering No worries bro! I'm not exactly the best at conveying my thoughts so accidents like that is quite often, especially when I'm tired and the like.
@LeonardoEngineering I know, I mean that now we've got something much better than the old one to make missile launchers with. Also, thanks for the information!
Yup, the old way of ejecting stuff is to just connect as many things as possible to the detacher that launches the projectile and call it a day... One thing though... Can we have, say, 5 missiles that are set up like this? Also, how do we rename weapons anyway?
@sheepsblood Well, although the craft does look mostly dieselpunk, the brass pipes connecting pretty much everything does give it some steampunk feel.
Some common aesthetics for dieselpunk are: internal combustion / jet engines, streamlined fairings, iron/aluminum parts, round/smooth wings (esp. trailing edges), exposed cannons/machine guns and the like, while some common aesthetics for steampunk are: baroque shapes, rigid lines (some streamlining might still apply, but they would most likely look like either zeppelins or ships before WWI if anything), brass pipes (esp. w/ valves and gauges), large and/or exposed gears/connection rods, steam engines/boilers (well, that where the "steam" in "steampunk" came from anyways), as well as more jagged wings and trailing edges. So, all in all, this aircraft look dieselpunk, but it would look even more dieselpunk if the pipes are made out of iron/aluminum instead of brass.
@EliteArsenals24 That "two cannons synced to simulate casing ejection" part reminded me of how two wing guns can be synced to simulate recoil/smoke/firing sounds... (or even more for recoil and casing/link ejection)
@SledDriver Neither do I.... Anyways, I just tried to say that you seemed have a penchant for modifying/fine-tuning a select few (admittedly great) airframes.... I guess being half-asleep is not exactly doing me any good for my (admittedly already lacking) communications skills...
Farewell, may the solar winds be always on your side (sorry I don‘t even know why or how I came up with that, I guess you being an astro-shipwright have something to do with it).
Goodbye and goodluck. You will be forever remembered as one of the greatest astro-shipwrights this community ever had, so godspeed, may you have a bright new chapter in your life.
Yes, this is the Mark XI. It has quite a few differences from the original. *Jokingly * Something tells me that someone is around as obsessed with the Blackbird airframe as Tony Stark with his exoskeleton suits...
Nice plane as usual, and... is that glowing intake one of the many enhancements compared to its predecessors?
P.S. I know you probably do not have a lore/background for this particular model as of yet (if at all, given you are among those that build airframes for their inherent beauty instead of roleplaying), but... does this airframe run on ion/plasma engines of some sort? I mean that glow looks sci-fi as hell...
I mean, it's not really as if this thing is an ocean-bound vessel, so I think the engines are fine... If anything, why the hell do the flanks of this thing resemble torpedoes?
Last time I checked, destroyers usually don't have secondary guns, and especially secondary guns with fully enclosed turrets... Should this be counted as a light cruiser instead?
@SnoWFLakE0s Smoke effect of larger calibers, on the other hand... I don't quite remember anyone saying that you can only use 70mm guns to make that smoke effect... The "center" (the sphere of fire and smoke) part of the explosion/smoke effect is around the same as a gun of 400mm caliber, although, granted, yup, the smoke effects of that one is defeating the purpose of "potato friendly"...
Just realized... the new tank cannons could replace rockets for this role... And of course, that would also mean automatic grenade launchers and rocket pods would not require 30+ parts just for the ammo.
Potato users of the world, rejoice!
@FranzPeterSiegfried I think it's more dieselpunk than steampunk (streamlined design, no exposed piping, non-brass colors, bulbous fairings everywhere), but anyways, it's a pity that this beautiful airframe did not come with a backstory.
Cool depth charges! I myself have another method to do basically the same thing (around an year old, not uploaded, and won't be uploaded anytime soon), although mine is an amalgamation of parachutes, speed brakes, and springs so that the bomb will detonate when contacting with the surface. I ditched the rockets (for airplanes, at least) for they are a bit... fickle for they will have a fixed time to detonation after they are launched, so depending on the release altitude they may or may not detonate on target (or in the general vicinity of the target). That said, I do have my own fixed-timer ones (note: they are AG ones with secondary detachers to fire and detonate the rockets, made around half an year ago) that are designed to be launched from surface ships and low-flying aircrafts (most likely not helos for the obvious reason of blast radius) to crack open submarines.
@MintLynx Fellow aspie here, the sub is cool as hell, the engine design is also what I'd envision for one (I myself suck at art or aesthetics, but I'm somewhat good at analyzing). Also, am I the only one who thinks that whoever made this really should add control instructions? Ayways, this sub is cool and I wish to see more subs of this kind from you in the future. * sonar ping intensifies *
@RamboJutter Sorry, it's just that the only time I saw something this asymmetrical is the ski speeder - the fact that the cockpit is on one end of the wing and the cannons on the other with the engines in the middle didn't help whatsoever...
Does anybody know what those Russian words mean?
+1Yeah, other than the obvious problem that the fuselage art has more parts than most aircrafts, no problem... Yeah, I know it probably means "Art made using fuselage parts" but I just felt it obligatory to say so...

+1For a second I thought "wait that's quite a messed up looking Messerschmidt"...
+2Yup, the old way of ejecting stuff is to just connect as many things as possible to the detacher that launches the projectile and call it a day... One thing though... Can we have, say, 5 missiles that are set up like this? Also, how do we rename weapons anyway?

Great plane, looks somewhat more dieselpunk than steampunk, though.
+1Pray tell this is not from the same 'verse as those magnificent flyers from @RamboJutter?
So... Similar to the Russian one?
@EliteArsenals24 That "two cannons synced to simulate casing ejection" part reminded me of how two wing guns can be synced to simulate recoil/smoke/firing sounds... (or even more for recoil and casing/link ejection)

Well, first the Blackbird airframe, now a psychedelic insectoid-ish airframe... I guess that what we mean by "dedication"...
@EliteArsenals24 Similar to how to add "recoil" to wing guns?
Which highschool have an MBT in their student council? I know in GuP they have WWII tanks, but modern MBTs are something else altogether...
Holy...
So... Basically a stealthy F-14 (or a variable-geometry YF-23)?
Farewell, may the solar winds be always on your side (sorry I don‘t even know why or how I came up with that, I guess you being an astro-shipwright have something to do with it).

@JA311M So... the turret arrangement of the Mogami, superstructure (sans the bridge) of the Oyodo, and the mainmast of the Yamato...
Sooo.... Basically speaking, the Mogami-class with a different rear deck and larger turrets?
*More Dakka! Nevar 'nuff Dakka! Nevar!*
Kako? You're back! Holy sh*t Kako's back!

Well, ain't this a nice remake of that old airframe! Good Job!
+1Holy f*, just... how...
I mean, it's not really as if this thing is an ocean-bound vessel, so I think the engines are fine... If anything, why the hell do the flanks of this thing resemble torpedoes?
I guess posting a "fixed" version is all we can do... Also, for a "normal" car control, it's mostly pitch for gas and roll for turn.
+1@ElevatorEnthusiast488 Last time I checked, braille and computer screen doesn't mix well...
+2Nice work, but... I assume that
+1zeroOnDeactivate ="true" would help with AG7?Damn she's a beaut!
May the force be with you...
Last time I checked, destroyers usually don't have secondary guns, and especially secondary guns with fully enclosed turrets... Should this be counted as a light cruiser instead?
Hi Spef! Good to see ya again!
+1Damn, she wouldn't look out of place as a starfighter! Great build.
+1@Mustang51 Seems to be windows/slits for turret crew to see out of.
+1Don't let this cruiser's relaxed, swept-back profile fool you.Yup, only if this thing is not literally covered in guns and missiles.
@Charris969 The floating airbase, right?
+1If anything, you added even more parts and made it even less mobile friendly... I don't think potato computers could handle this ship to begin with...
+4Sled! It's been for ages!
@SnoWFLakE0s Smoke effect of larger calibers, on the other hand... I don't quite remember anyone saying that you can only use 70mm guns to make that smoke effect...
