It was indeed. If I remember rightly in my research, China and Cyprus were the only exports. The last Trident being retired in China in ‘95! @QingyuZhou
Your a gent! Honestly can’t tell where that went wrong. Even the unlisted version I showed you had it as a successor. Apologies, maybe you can dock a few points for that! @ACEPILOT109
Damn, just noticed this is not a successor post for some reason even though I downloaded the post and kept the same cockpit . Is there an easy way of turning this into a successor post on iOS? @ACEPILOT109
Loved that game. Even if i get a new(er) device you can be sure I won’t be playing that again. I’ve even noticed on WoT some of the matches you get put into are massively biased to one side on the variants. Don’t get me started on the tier system they have, that beggars belief! Yeah a tier 3 1930s tank can be pitted against a mid 40s tier 5.... hmmmm wargammer.net are you punishing me for NOT spending money on what is a free game. Anyway, glad the devs are on our side. I’d pay 20 quid towards their staff night out anyday! @Mustang51
I had wowblitz for years. They turned around after months and months of in game problems stating “we no longer support your device” please spend more money on a newer device you peasant we’ve cut you loose Can’t really complain with sp! @Mustang51
Apologies for not supporting that post. I rarely go through forums but that would have got my support! Strikes me as the same difference. 5 quid for a new game or the same again for an update. Being the clever clogs that they are they could have partitioned the update until people paid? Dunno, I know absolutely nothing about programming etc. @Mustang51
I think they should have integrated SR into SP but then they couldn’t make money out it. Tbh if they asked me to fork out another 5 quid to use this “new expansion to the game” i would have probably paid it @Mustang51
I like space don’t get me wrong. But there’s just not the diversity compared to planes. I imagine the Saturn V/Soyuz rockets have become the new P-51/Mig/Mc’douglasboeing/airbus that frequent the market. @Mustang51
Well, this wasn’t exactly advertised by the devs (understandably). They couldn’t get the designer suite to work for older iOS devices so they left it out. Hence all my work has to be eye-balled till I’m cross-eyed! Massive let down the one feature I was hyped about wasn’t going to work on my device. Can’t really complain - genuinely surprised they made an update after the release of SR2. I’d imagine they’d still be ironing out bugs for that release. @Mustang51
Very good, and on ios good stuff! unfortunately out of spotlights - I will return tomorrow. I personally don't like the orthographic view for profile pics as it distorts the build. Its a shame you cant use an in game screenshot for ios as it would make builds infinitely better click bait. On ios we certainly are at a disadvantage it seems....
@Mustang51 Thanks mate, glad you like it! I wasn't even going to contemplate the lettering! Although ive seen early tridents with just 'British' on the side but at 440 parts and constant crashes (again) it just had to be released.
I’ve always been curious to see how the 3D printing comes out on this - did you try maybe a ‘solid’ interior to cut down on the complexity? Nice build btw!
Like I said don’t take it the wrong way. It’s only because this is bloody brilliant for someone who is only bronze! “Lucasfilms made it first though” ha ha don’t take the piss!! ;) @Trainbone
Having worked in telecoms you’d be surprised how many businesses still hang on to ‘a fax line’ - the things got so much dust on it and millennial employees don’t know what it does or how to use it bless their cottons.
It’s when building mostly that part count and size starts to become an issue. Can download and fly this no bother on high settings! Nice job on an underrepresented type, clever use of a reversed engine for detailing. Must remember that trick! @Mustang51
Good lord no! This was made prior to when iOS could nudge parts together and you had to ‘convince’ parts to join. This things not even to scale. I started doing things to scale a while back which is when I started noticing the crashes - especially with 4 engines beasts. @Mustang51
Good to know I might try that. Although I’ve made a build before with zero drag parts and it’s hard getting setting enough drag so it slows down realistically and not drifting like it’s in space. @Mustang51
Have you not tried to give the 1-11 a bash just out of interest? The only reason I ask about lettering I’ve only ever done capitals. Lower case will ramp up the difficulty/parts. It’s a small enough bird though so my iPad shouldn’t struggle too badly. Funnily enough the Britannia I was making was going to be B-Cal or Donaldson livery but the scale of that beast made for constant crashes, so she ended up with a plain finish unfortunately. @Mustang51
I counted 23 which is more than generous of you! Interesting you should mention the 1-11, Im definitely interested in one. I’m finishing off a trident for the tri-jet challenge and I might just get in to it afterwards. How are you with insignia/lettering? @Mustang51
Wow thank you very much! I feel this was a better build than my defiant yet scored less than half of its points. Maybe it was the camo job everyone liked.... I really wanted folding wings and maybe a ‘Royal Navy’ or two down the side but it was coming close to crunch time and I kinda said I’d enter into another challenge mid build that was a little ambitious of me. However like the firebrand challenge entry it gave me the impetus to improve some past builds. Thanks again old boy, thoroughly enjoyed the challenge! @Mustang51
That interface has always been a pain. On iPad I write it out in notes or any others wordish and copy/paste it in after it’s posted as mentioned below.
Should have just left it with a single Lewis gun. Didn’t that tip wing gun have a mount rail so it could be taken down for reloading? Not critiquing I think this is a great build! @F4f879
You’ve always been good at capturing an aircrafts shape so bravo once again! I think you need to work on the handling though as it handles like an RC plane.
Thank you, the nose gear of the trident had to be offset to accommodate the advanced avionics. @Cassio11
It was indeed. If I remember rightly in my research, China and Cyprus were the only exports. The last Trident being retired in China in ‘95! @QingyuZhou
Please don’t upvote if you upvoted the original. The was meant as a challenge entry. For whatever reason it didn’t submit as a successor post.
Thought I’d make it a successor. I know you were willing to accept it as it was but it just didn’t seem right.
@ACEPILOT109
Is that 2x the time taken to spool up? @MethaManAircraft
Surely thats slower acceleration, lower fuel consumption? That’s a useful tip though I’ll have to try that. @MethaManAircraft
Your a gent! Honestly can’t tell where that went wrong. Even the unlisted version I showed you had it as a successor. Apologies, maybe you can dock a few points for that! @ACEPILOT109
The black beauty, what an awesome car! Nice build!

Can’t even use SR2 on my iPad. That and I’m tighter than a Eskimos nads with my wallet so probably wouldn’t buy it anyway. @Mustang51

Nice build. Green isn’t quite ‘battleship grey’ what made you choose that colour outta curiosity?
Here she is from way back when I more or less started. Before the days of nudging you had to ‘convince’ parts to go where you wanted!
@TheFantasticTyphoon
Thank you very much for the spotlight! @QingyuZhou
Thanks buddy! @Trainzo
Absolutely! @asteroidbook345
I see “push to gold” and then some.....

Thank you all!
@TheFantasticTyphoon @IAAI and @Mustang51 - may start on a 1-11 although I will be pottering around in this for a while.
Those screenshots are jaw-droppingly good!
“OH......BARRACUDA!” (Song for all you millennials)
This is a lovely build, 1:1 as well. I shall take her for a spin!
Neat build and mobile friendly, love the livery that looks the business! (quite literally)
Yeah, I don’t think she was in the best shape at the outbreak of war. @SodiumChloride
No problem, really nice work. Didn’t the Sopwith Triplane enter service before the DR.1? @Datom
I’ve always been curious to see how the 3D printing comes out on this - did you try maybe a ‘solid’ interior to cut down on the complexity? Nice build btw!
Liking the look of your ‘6-2, possibly the most beautiful Russian jet ever. (In part as it was a copy of the VC-10!) @QingyuZhou
Like I said don’t take it the wrong way. It’s only because this is bloody brilliant for someone who is only bronze! “Lucasfilms made it first though” ha ha don’t take the piss!! ;) @Trainbone

400 parts, if it’s a large aircraft it’s seems to crash all the time even on low settings. @Mustang51
Oh my....!

You mean prop blades? I kinda thought that was the only rationale for having pusher planes it negated that problem! @Zanedavid
You’ve always been good at capturing an aircrafts shape so bravo once again! I think you need to work on the handling though as it handles like an RC plane.
Oh no need to apologise, this build is fantastic! Right up my street! @ACEPILOT109
Ah! I see. This has confused me for many, many moons! @ACEPILOT109
Did you mean Tang0five? Just curious as I’m all over this. Love it! @ACEPILOT109
Good to see you back! @niggelas100
