Great low part build with some nice features. Flight characteristics are always the hardest part to get right in my opinion. Love this aircraft. When I was a kid these used to come across from Lossiemouth and fly at low level past my house which was simply brilliant for me.
Had a run in with those on my Buffalo build.... I think they were a bit dated by the advent of WW2 but still ok for bombers as they were reliable if I remember rightly. @ThomasRoderick
Well it’s all very much appreciated! Unfortunately my main tool for building was my iPad but it’s old and struggles with big builds or parts over 300. Got a few things unfinished - I’ve broke them down into tail/wing/nose and can build them on my iPad but it’s a slow process. Any period of aviation of particular interest to yourself? @ThomasRoderick
I’m impressed at your recent interest in some of my builds and taking the time to upvote, thank you very much! As you can see from my eclectic mix I have various interests. @ThomasRoderick
Wow cheers @RamboJutter for that, what a beaut! Could watch that gear cycling for a while - great job. I take it there will be a 60s style loadout maybe like the scimitar. I do like that FAA livery as well. I reckon a primitive style afterburner like the Supermarine swift has would be a cool touch - I think they’re of comparable age?? My brabazon is pretty much there. I always find flight dynamics to be a total pain to get right - I’m always amazed at how quickly you can go from concept to flying prototype.
Rambo.... were you the type, who as a child mixed up his airfix sets deliberately by any chance ;) :) :) Gull wing reminiscent of the bb firecrest (what a beaut that thing is). Speaking of I think RJ ltd need to do another collaboration with Blackburn. Maybe a firecrest/brand amalgamation that was conceived shortly at the outbreak of war? Good to see you still sharing these with us!
Select the engine and open up the overload xml icon. Where it says “disableAircraftcollisions” it will be set to false. Delete that and put “true”. I made this before us mere mortals had the xml mod etc on iOS. @MatthiasFan863
Good subject material ref sinking The Bismarck! Yes she hit the Bismarck many times, however a lot of this was at very close range for this type of gun. Instead of penetrating the deck (as happens at range) the shells from Rodney were either hitting the sea prior to the Bismarck (and not causing too much damage) or hitting the main armour belt and not causing enough internal damage. With that said the superstructure (which included the bridge, rangefinders etc) of Bismarck was utterly destroyed from the ordeal so objective achieved.
@BassemT90 sorry for the delay. My graphics cards knackered making my pc unusable. Hopefully getting a replacement next weekend bud. The build is more or less finished which is the real kit in the teeth!
This is really quite something. I did a simple working loco a while back and know working pistons are a right pain to get right - this is looking really promising!t
This looks awesome and worthy of a spotlight. Handling could be more realistic if I was to offer feedback for future reference but this is a very nice build!
The Olympic Airways rendition is more or less ready to go but I’m having pc issues and I can’t upload it through my iPad as it’s too old and keeps crashing - may have to wait until next weekend sadly :( @BassemT90
Changing the livery shouldn’t be too difficult (I think!) I also need to make the wing more realistic as I made this a while back. What’s sort of 80s jet were you thinking? I do like the Alitalia livery. Such beautiful stewardesses they always have too! @BassemT90
Been a while old bean since I’ve been on this - glad to see you’ve still got the creative flare going. I remembered thinking about making a beaufighter but couldn’t quite suss the triangular fuselage out. I’ll have to wait until I’m home to download on pc to find out what sorcery has gone on but I’ll congratulate you in advance!
Cheers! @WiiMini didn't think (and rightly so) anyone would miss my post WW2 British builds. I like the rare (ahem....and large) beauties! :)
@RandomUser09 far from legendary mate but thanks!!!
No problemo, this is really quite good! @AtlasMilitaryIndustries
Very cool low part build. Some issues veering off on takeoff but can be corrected by changing the sideways traction right down.
Neat idea, I keep meaning to do another Victor - maybe I’ll use designer suite next time round and get it a little more accurate!
+3I do like the buck, some complex shapes involved which you’ve nailed very nicely indeed!
+1Hmmm very useful for a project I’ve been waylaid on, very nice!
No worries - nice idea! @ThomasRoderick

+1It’s the “rustler” from gta San Andreas! :) :)
Lovely looking kite - good job!

+1I have to agree with @ChiChiWerx this is a very cool transformation and must have taken bloody ages to make it work!
+3Lovely kite - no need to mention me old boy but I’m touched!
Man this thing is lovely, surprisingly easy to use VTOL as well. Why did you paint it black though?
+3Liked the concept - like to see this refined more though, maybe more meat on the bones so to speak?

+4Another great replica. Why so little attention from the community beats me!
Very nice build! Like the lettering and that livery is rather dapper indeed!

+2Disable collisions on the engine. @MatthiasFan863
I concur with @Alex9000
Agreed, neat build. Plenty typhoons I’ve seen had the 3 bladed prop though. @Bonelesspizza

+1Yes, someone finally made the marines version OORAH!
+2Thanks @BassemT90 still having PC issues so haven’t been able to complete the comet just yet and I’m away from home for a few weeks :(
+1Love the build quality and low(ish) part count. I like how you’ve not kicked the arse out of performance and handling. This is a brilliant buck!
Mmmm retro. I like!

Right up my area of interest, I like!!
+1It’s been dropped.... @TheTwoanie2000
Glad to see you back again - under a new alias nonetheless!
Mmmm, complete in 70s avocado for full affect! Looks like you’re as good at cars as you are boats. Lovely job!

By all means, sorry for the delay I’m not on this much anymore @TheResistancedude
Beautiful build of a timeless classic!
Damn this thing is beautiful!
The detail on this is astounding!
+2Cheers! It’s a bit lumpy but accurate in terms of the window dimensions. @SierraX
+1Nice to see such a large build without a billion parts, great job!
