Introduction

Designed and built for the Fleet Air Arm by Rambojutter Ltd. the Brasshead was also exported to other allies. This example is displayed in the colours it wore when serving with the USN in the pacific theatre.

@Droidy247 I might, i did want to revisit that one but i never intended for the wings to fold etc. so might be a big job.

Just want to suggest if you can make a world war 2 era carrier borne jet fighter with a flying wing design same as your DeHavilland Werewolf?

@ChiChiWerx thanks but I can't take credit for that, someone a long time ago (so long I've forgotten who, it was before masters moved to discord) gave me a 2x2 panelled cylinder, I just use that as the basis and scale or alter to suit.

Some very interesting build techniques employed here. Plus, your paneling work is absolutely perfect. In game, I kept looking at the nacelles, trying to convince myself that it was some new shaped piece I wasn’t aware of, but, no, they’re paneled! Nice work!

@AzureCorp you got me thinking, i kinda have already done what you suggested here and i also did a sort of early jet type as well here not to mention a vietnam style twin boom here so i kinda think i have done this to death for now =)

@AzureCorp ah now that makes much more sense lol. I made a kit of the whirlwind last Christmas so that's apt really.

@AzureCorp what do you mean by wyvern then? I thought you meant the westland wyvern which was a single engine turboprop carrierbourne fighter?

    3.4 years ago
  • Profile image

@RamboJutter Oh, sorry. By similar, i meant they have 2 engines, and nose guns, which for 2 engines, was kinda uncommon for lighter fighters. But yes, i understand. i will look foward to that wyvern!

@AzureCorp yeah I intentionally made them large as I was trying to make the rest look smaller in comparison (imagine the engines are wasp double radials like on the p47, the fuselage only needs to be big enough to fit the pilot hence its much smaller). The wyvern and p38 are not similar in any way lol, I might do a not quite a wyvern though.

Also, What do you think of the engines in the wings? In my opinion, they look oversized, but add a creative speck to it.

My suggestion: Make a mix between the P-38 and the Westland Wyvern! They look similar. I know you aren't a replica maker, but in my opinion, i think you can do something similar with your skill.

Also, Great plane! I had fun playing with it.

@ThomasRoderick yeah it was getting that way so I stopped adding :) plus once I get over 1200 the game seems to lag a bit (not a pc issue for sure)
