It’s not too difficult, you just can’t use mods which can be a nuisance! I can build up to 500 parts but it really starts to slow down and crash randomly at 400+ (This is an old iPad Air I use) @Cookie1232008
I think our paths more or less crossed about this time and I remember mentioning your challenge Lightning so it’s only apt it gets a spotlight! Don’t know about you old boy but before the 1.7 update it was a proper hassle to ‘convince’ parts to attach to each other without the ability to nudge/fine tune. I think it required more ‘skill’ in a way.
Not only does this look amazing, but it also flies!! Shame on SP for not featuring this back in the day - I’ll spotlight before you start building again! :)
Mine are by no means the best and I try to keep part count low. I thin the fuselages height where I want the bomb bay and then nudge thin strips in a curved fashion. It’s time consuming for sure and can start to rack up the part count. @Diloph
Thanks @Badplanesdotnet those wheels/pistons took aaaages to get working. Pistons are not 100% accurate - couldn’t get it to work in the actual position.
Genuinely surprised thus has been build by a bronze player! Roll is a little too quick, stall point seems quite high which can be helped by adding more wing sections. As your on iOS (like me) for future reference I’d pinch some xml modded parts for landing gear. You want parts with collisions disabled (so they ‘tuck’ away into the wing etc) and have the activation set to move on pressing landing gear. All this is impossible to do on iOS alas, so collect parts that have been modded - feel free to save as a sub assembly one of my LGs from one of my builds and adapt it to your build but there are probably way better ones out there! Good luck!
Ok. I paid more attention to making sure things were working but still gave it a thorough set of test flights and honestly did not experienced that effect. @Nerfenthusiast
I’ll have a pint of beer or 568ml beer? There’s no way of escaping good ol’ imperial. I love The US, spent much time there, which state are you hailing me from? @Hedero
Always like the basilisk concept you developed - the modern upgrade is nice!

I’m sorry I didn’t spotlight earlier!
A grand job!
Such a shame, looks promising!

Looks neat! I’d personally lengthen the landing gear and pay more attention to the tail plane, I’ll take her for a spin!
Love the Vulcan!

You sir, are a genius!
+2So the lightning doesn’t handle well at low speeds (-shock-)
:) @Nerfenthusiast
Got it now cheers! Very enjoyable! @Falkenwut

Beautifully made, really well done! Is there pitch issues with anyone else on iOS that you have heard of? I can’t seem to control pitch.
