Very good, and on ios good stuff! unfortunately out of spotlights - I will return tomorrow. I personally don't like the orthographic view for profile pics as it distorts the build. Its a shame you cant use an in game screenshot for ios as it would make builds infinitely better click bait. On ios we certainly are at a disadvantage it seems....
@Mustang51 Thanks mate, glad you like it! I wasn't even going to contemplate the lettering! Although ive seen early tridents with just 'British' on the side but at 440 parts and constant crashes (again) it just had to be released.
Hmmm why is it everyone remembers the comet for the wrong reasons? When the issue of metal fatigue was understood and rectified the comet was a very safe and successful aircraft, my dad even flew on it several times and loved it. @Gott
Fantastic job! This is The sort of ship that should have taken on the Bismarck and not a Battlecruiser. Battleships against Battlecruisers god the RN just didn’t learn did it! Think I remember reading somewhere they tried to avoid firing past a certain angle as some windows up front, no matter how armoured they made them, kept getting shattered by the shock.
I’ve always been curious to see how the 3D printing comes out on this - did you try maybe a ‘solid’ interior to cut down on the complexity? Nice build btw!
They were too costly to operate and they weren’t designed for long distance lifts so they kept suffering from transmission failures leading to the tandem rotors colliding (with terrible consequences). I’ve had a couple of family members ferried out to platforms in the 80s in the type. Nowadays it’s Bristow and CHC which I believe do the Gulf of Mexico’s platforms although I may be corrected on that. @QingyuZhou
BA operated them for North Sea oil platforms. Very good attempt at the awkward lower case letting of ‘British airways’. Doing a similar aged BA aircraft and I’ve just written it off as too fiddly, so I doff my cap to you!
They also used that Connie to film the airline scene in ace Ventura when nature calls. “There’s something on the wing......some thing!” Brilliant movie. @Trijets
By Jove......magnificent replica. I can never download however the plan view has the hull looking a little shallow in depth but this is mere knit picking! Good work, upvote, spotlight and following, bronze..... hell you won’t be there long with this talent!
Like I said don’t take it the wrong way. It’s only because this is bloody brilliant for someone who is only bronze! “Lucasfilms made it first though” ha ha don’t take the piss!! ;) @Trainbone
Having worked in telecoms you’d be surprised how many businesses still hang on to ‘a fax line’ - the things got so much dust on it and millennial employees don’t know what it does or how to use it bless their cottons.
It’s when building mostly that part count and size starts to become an issue. Can download and fly this no bother on high settings! Nice job on an underrepresented type, clever use of a reversed engine for detailing. Must remember that trick! @Mustang51
Good lord no! This was made prior to when iOS could nudge parts together and you had to ‘convince’ parts to join. This things not even to scale. I started doing things to scale a while back which is when I started noticing the crashes - especially with 4 engines beasts. @Mustang51
Good to know I might try that. Although I’ve made a build before with zero drag parts and it’s hard getting setting enough drag so it slows down realistically and not drifting like it’s in space. @Mustang51
Have you not tried to give the 1-11 a bash just out of interest? The only reason I ask about lettering I’ve only ever done capitals. Lower case will ramp up the difficulty/parts. It’s a small enough bird though so my iPad shouldn’t struggle too badly. Funnily enough the Britannia I was making was going to be B-Cal or Donaldson livery but the scale of that beast made for constant crashes, so she ended up with a plain finish unfortunately. @Mustang51
I counted 23 which is more than generous of you! Interesting you should mention the 1-11, Im definitely interested in one. I’m finishing off a trident for the tri-jet challenge and I might just get in to it afterwards. How are you with insignia/lettering? @Mustang51
Thank you very much for the spotlight! @QingyuZhou
Thanks buddy! @Trainzo
Absolutely! @asteroidbook345
Thank you both! @yoshicraze and @nameisalreadytaken
+2I see “push to gold” and then some.....

@ACEPILOT109 Thank you very much! And for the spotlight too! Sorry for the delay!
+1@MrPorg137 yup! Offset to accommodate all the advanced avionics of the time.
+1Thanks @MrPorg137 glad you like it! This was a solid month to make..... don't really know how many hours are whittled in to this!
+1@grizzlitn thank you! looking at your profile pic and previous builds, space/rockets are an interest to yourself?
+1Wow thank you for the upvote and spotlight! You are too kind! @grizzlitn
+2@Mustang51 Thanks mate, glad you like it! I wasn't even going to contemplate the lettering! Although ive seen early tridents with just 'British' on the side but at 440 parts and constant crashes (again) it just had to be released.
Thank you all!
@TheFantasticTyphoon @IAAI and @Mustang51 - may start on a 1-11 although I will be pottering around in this for a while.
Those screenshots are jaw-droppingly good!
“OH......BARRACUDA!” (Song for all you millennials)
This is a lovely build, 1:1 as well. I shall take her for a spin!
Hmmm why is it everyone remembers the comet for the wrong reasons? When the issue of metal fatigue was understood and rectified the comet was a very safe and successful aircraft, my dad even flew on it several times and loved it. @Gott
+2I think you’ve capture the ‘majesty’ of the comet quite well, shame the wheels don’t fully tuck away and protrude out of the wings.
+2Neat build and mobile friendly, love the livery that looks the business! (quite literally)
Ha ha love it! Two R2 units, why not eh!
+1Yeah, I don’t think she was in the best shape at the outbreak of war. @SodiumChloride

+1Beautiful build and I just love the retro BA livery!
+1This has got to be you entering platinum now!!
+1No problem, really nice work. Didn’t the Sopwith Triplane enter service before the DR.1? @Datom
I’ve always been curious to see how the 3D printing comes out on this - did you try maybe a ‘solid’ interior to cut down on the complexity? Nice build btw!
Liking the look of your ‘6-2, possibly the most beautiful Russian jet ever. (In part as it was a copy of the VC-10!) @QingyuZhou

+1What a beauty! Went on one of these when I was a kid.
+1Very nice, however I think you need to look a ChiChiwerx’s insignia pack for reference.

+2VIVE LA FRANGLAIS!!!
+1P.s have a spotlight for your efforts! @Trainbone

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but did you make this?

Machete..... they just f—cked with the wrong Mexican

soviet state anthem intensifies ....
+1bloody marvellous build!
My favourite SW film, nice job on this!
+2I flew in one once. I’ve always like the 146. Such a neat looking aircraft. Good job! @Falkenwut @TheFantasticTyphoon

400 parts, if it’s a large aircraft it’s seems to crash all the time even on low settings. @Mustang51
Oh my....!
I do like pre-dreadnoughts!

Love to take part but am committed to another challenge that’s taking all my spare time! Good luck! @mikoyanster
