OH!
As I was the account manager when the original was posted, it needs to be pointed out that the hull was a pre-built one!
Some challenge or what have you. It's been a long time.
This breaks so many vexillological conventions.
Maybe remove the small font text since it wouldn't show on a text block picture, but honestly otherwise this'll do fine since it's bound to piss off Grain just by how bad it looks.
The base colours are surprisingly not that bad... Look like one of those liquorice tube candies.
Perhaps we could use that prototype on The MBS Fillet's mast as a naval flag?
Again, great to see this here. While there's clearly work that needs doing (and sources to verify, and math that needs checking as I do NOT believe that weekly budget in the slightest) this is looking like a good sign for things to come. It's no Morrayge, but the implications for our naval power are wonderful.
Hm.
Notes:
Good to see, of course. Some support is great.
The scale, however, could use adjustment. The bridge, doors, and railings are far too small to fit humans. May need to be re-fitted. Remember, the seat part has a projection of a human if you need help scaling things.
The propeller pitch and turret turning seems to be controlled by the same VTOL action group. This is, of course, not goo as it impedes use greatly. Needs fixing.
The missiles are concerning. Where are we getting these? These things are clearly highly advanced with very high range. Tell me elsewhere how much these things cost, because I'm suspicious of who'd supply these at anything approaching fitting in a $4 million budget.
That weekly operating cost is also suspicious. This thing isn't being pedaled by monkeys, is it? That's dirt cheap for a lot of kit. You may have forgotten to switch a few units. Running efficiently with minimal ammo use (and no replacement missiles) would surely be a thousand times that. Remember, a cubic meter is 1000 liters! I've made those mistakes before and paid dearly for it.
It's quite quick despite the low power output. In fact, it has a lot of systems. Are you sure this thing only has 30kw? There's no shame in admitting to using a salvaged engine from another ship, so long as it's being done safely.
The guns concern me. Incredible muzzle velocity, fast firing, absolutely tiny. The breach must be the size of my thumb to fit in those turrets. And you say it's autoloaded? There's no way something that tiny is safe. I greatly recommend we find other cannons. Even if they're heavier, slower, and less punchy, the decreased risk of blowing up spectacularly (and likely also cheaper ammo)
Any other nitpicks... Doctrine!
This isn't really the fault of the ship, rather our procurement. This vessel, while definitely an asset for its big guns and air defense abilities, seems rather similar to a beefed-up Fillet class (side note: could use a name methinks). The Fillet, despite our need for speed, is not fast. That's on my, obviously, but it's a trawler. A hole is made with lightening speed, and the trawler comes in to exploit it. This thing would make a great heavy escort for the slower vessels, but for taking the fight more to Eel Protectorate assets I think we could still use something bigger.
I say a carrier of some sort. What do you say?
I remember seeing one of these at an airshow. Neat looking aircraft, despite its flaws. I seem to remember that this wasn't the only model, though, no?
@Guywhobuildsstuff Wonderful. I still need information.
I'm working with you as a matter of pragmatism, but it increasingly seeming as though this is in fact counterproductive to my goals.
I need to know what we are, what we have, and when we can actually begin increasing our operations beyond the current small-time raids in dinghies.
@WaterFlavouredSpitfires No, there are not.
The Graingy account used to be mine personally. I used it to support Graingy the company. I eventually handed the account over to the company officially. I then left on another assignment.
The company gave that account to Grain Guy, who now runs it.
I came back and had to make this account.
The Siren War is something to do with aliens.
Ask @ShinyGemsBro
I'm not following it, but they seem to take it rather seriously from what little I've seen.
That performance cost...
OH!

... Now that's something I'd love to have right about now.
Any interest in selling?
@Eggplant Probably yes
@Monarchii Did you bite the trawler?
What?

Now THIS is what I like to see!
Inspecting momentarily.
@Graingy Why are you still here?
@Speedhunter Terrible idea, go sit in the corner and feel bad.
Time out for you.
@TalonTheCRTguy he?
@Graingy Then shut up and quit commenting. You're obnoxious and not contributing anything here.
@Graingy Then get out. MWBS and neutrals only.
Have some sportsmanship for goodness sake.
@TheMouse Oh, well I guess that confirms it.
@Graingy Then why are you here?
@Graingy How else will I insult you?
I'm not blocking @OrangeConnor.
@Graingy Please stop.
@hpgbproductions I think stealth may be slightly more complicated than that.
@FOXHOUND26 Contact @Guywhobuildsstuff to join the MWBS. We're more assault-oriented, if that suits your fancy.
@TheMouse Grain?
Pfft.
@Monarchii Submarines are a separate item on the wish list.
@Graingy Very helpful, Grain.
@Graingy Very well.
Then you're on your own.
You know exactly what I mean.
@CallsignGizmo I'm not participating in their games.
@CallsignGizmo So it would seem.
What a pity.
I always hated talking to that guy.
Soian Star Fleet.
Terrifying thing.
I remember seeing one of these at an airshow. Neat looking aircraft, despite its flaws. I seem to remember that this wasn't the only model, though, no?
What the heck?
I hope you get help for your condition.
@Guywhobuildsstuff Wonderful.

Less of a huge burden and more of a minor annoyance. Still considered against the rules, however.

@Graingy Mhm.
It should be.
@Graingy "I may have slightly underestimated how pissed you are."
Very.
That looks incredible!
The Siren War is something to do with aliens.

Sausage Crust.
@Overspeeding It's up there, but it isn't the top.
People are 200% going to think we're the same person.
As it were, yes.
I need to counter this.
Eh, I've been meaning to upgrade anyhow.
@SBACERT Clearly quite the excitement.
What.
Unless that past was during Anstrake...
