@Supersoli8 oooo alright :3
Personally, my reason for realism is because I'm going into the field of game development and I want the models I intend to use to not end up on one of those "EVERYTHING WRONG WITH THE _S FROM ___" videos
@Supersoli8 yeah, the front is the important part
Look at the intakes of the MiG-21, for an example of what the front should look like. Everything past that can have whatever design you want
OH ALSO
If you want your build to be realistic, include either R/JATOs or a turbofan engine, as IRL SC/Ramjets cannot physically start from a stopped position and aircraft using them need another form of thrust to even think about moving
@Supersoli8 ofc, you can use this one if you want (this is a Tandem Ramjet, aka utilizing both the upper ramjet and lower turbofans)
If you wanna make your own, look at a schematic for a ramjet, but this one is decently usable as a schematic
@Supersoli8
The SR-71 used Ramjets and the SR-72 is predicted to utilize SCRamjets, which are the same thing except they're nore advanced and produce more power
(IK it's "Scramjet" I just prefer to capitalize SCR because it literally stands for "Supersonic Compression Ramjet", or SC-Ramjet, or SCRamjet)
@Supersoli8 it's a type of jet engine that uses geometry and the speed of air to compress it rather than a fan before injecting and igniting fuel in the air to produce thrust. They only really work at high speeds due to having no ability to push their own air in but are relatively low-maintenance due to having no moving parts
@SPWithLizzie
Always the French
I saw that, but I thought that'd be negligible cause of the actual properties of one being determined much more recently)
@BOSKnight oooo, nifty
@RepublicofWrightIsles
I'd assume this airframe can't surpass M3 anyways btw, also, the plen itself isn't for sale but Umbra (the manufacturer of the ramjets, aka me) will gladly sell you the engine sets (UAC-400RJ-T)
@RepublicofWrightIsles
Sooo, btw Ramjets became an idea around 1908
and alongside that, the earliest functioning Ramjet was made in the 1940s
Ramjets aren't as advanced as you think, SCRamjets are the more advanced ones
@BOSKnight oh, well description-wise you made a mistake in that it's 4 Ramjets and 8 Turbojets, I never developed Scramjets and the 8 other jets do not have the geometry of a ramjet
Other than that, I'd say it's good, kinda an odd way to like the engines together tho
@BOSKnight a strafe doesnt immediately equal accuracy yk, and as I stated, theres no possible way you had the location of every single cannon in Jerry that could even be remotely used for air defense
@BOSKnight
Jerry doesnt even have a single 40mm autocannon left? You've found and destroyed everything that can even be used as anti air? Every MANPADS?
Also But guys! They were the bad guys!
Theres a difference between killing combatants and indiscriminate murder of civilians
@BOSKnight
I wanna mention real quick:
Power Armor doesnt make a soldier invincible, and being part of the elite doesnt make them immortal either. I also want to mention: look at Vietnam. We dropped so many metric tonnes of napalm on that country and yet the people still fought and killed several American and South Vietnamese soldiers, and it's highly improbable that your aircraft are avoiding every ounce of anti air, if youve never heard the story of Scott O'Grady or Jeremiah Denton I suggest looking them up
How are there 0 Your-Panese casualties in an invasion? That's literally impossible, especially with directly involving infantry against another nation's forces
I want to apologize personally because many of the designs I will be making are of tech not really seen until later on (Ramjets, RSW, etc.) but when I make something I always look into when the concept was made and everything, which ramjets are a concept from the early 1900s and reverse swept wings have been seen since the second world war at least
Rn, I'm working on what is effectively a more based Blackbird, and ik that it's going to he very out there in terms of tech, which is why I'm going to release it as a "Model/Prototype" rather than production
@BOSKnight Looks great!
I finished Umbra's XR-72, which I've renamed to XR-XVIII "The Moon" (Major Arcana 18, The Moon, is where the name originates. I'm prob gonna reference Tarot in my names for a lil while)
@BOSKnight yes, in the ramjet engine part there is a fuselage piece with 4 VTOL nozzles, find the hex color code for the shade you want and then change the exhaustcoloroverride in the XML menu to that color on each of them
@BOSKnight
looooong MiG-21 :3
+4@NotRob119 is it observing me glugging my monsher? :3
+1Ehat does it observe? 🤨🤨
+1@Supersoli8
Sorry, mistake from markdown formatting
It was supposed to say "Everything Wrong with the (Blank)s from (Blank)"

Pretty much yeah
@SPWithLizzie
Always the French

@RepublicofWrightIsles here, recipe!
I'm Finland now but I'm also still Umbra, Umbra is the company that produces all of Finland's equipment (except what we purchase ofc)
@RepublicofWrightIsles such an odd trio to create Space NATO lol
Knockoff Japan, Germany, and Finland....
Wait nevermind that actually makes a lot of sense lmao
@RepublicofWrightIsles oh lol,
Space America, babyyyy!!!!!!
@RepublicofWrightIsles add a revolving bomb bay to the SSTO? I fw that
@RepublicofWrightIsles
Will do in a bit
@RepublicofWrightIsles
Quite the odd statement lol
@RepublicofWrightIsles
Might as well add a 4th nation to the list
@RepublicofWrightIsles
Fair enough
Umbra accepts all forms of currency, as we have use for everything here
@RepublicofWrightIsles
A long time ago in a Jerry far, far away
@RepublicofWrightIsles yeah I don't think credit and debit cards were around back then. The earliest debit card i can find wouldve been 1966
@RepublicofWrightIsles I dunno actually (debit/credit cards)
The first operational ramjet was made in 1948 irl
@RepublicofWrightIsles alright, sounds good
Will that be cash, credit, or debit?
@RepublicofWrightIsles
Tandem unit is the full thing (so including the takeoff/low speed turbojets alongside the main ramjet)
@RepublicofWrightIsles

@Supersoli8 you can make a corporation or country here, though most are taken
@RepublicofWrightIsles ofc, ramjets afaik cannot physically work in space
+1@RepublicofWrightIsles ofc more powerful but I mean design-wise
@BOSKnight
If I make the engines, what style are we feeling? Like the Space Shuttle or is it gonna be similar to this?

+1Hey! Stalin saved a puppy like once i think dont cite me lol
@BOSKnight
+1Ik whatever treaty was signed in the KE universe is different than the Geneva Conventions, but read what I linked
@BOSKnight wdym?
@BOSKnight
As it ascertains to napalm, once again
Retaliation against ALL civilians on the basis of the acts of a select group is literally a warcrime set in stone by the Geneva Convention
And on the other note, it is highly improbable that you can locate everybody with a 20mm Anti-Tank rifle in a nation
@BOSKnight a strafe doesnt immediately equal accuracy yk, and as I stated, theres no possible way you had the location of every single cannon in Jerry that could even be remotely used for air defense
