    @Roswell
    Thank you lol

  • Admiral Vladimir Vysotskiy Class Heavy Cruiser 5.8 years ago

    @Ephwurd I made the barrels have square openings that are taller than they are wide to make it look like they contain the two electromagnetic armatures inside them. Coilguns could be wrapped around standard barrels but we only use them in a few amounts due to how they're very fragile. Railguns can withstand damage better than a coilgun most times.

  • Admiral Vladimir Vysotskiy Class Heavy Cruiser 5.8 years ago

    @Ephwurd Well, contrary to the futuristic railgun people are used too. Modern railguns are not so much flashy with pulsing neon all over the place. The neon colors make it easy to spot. The futuristic shapes with strange indentations and carvings aren't very stealthy either. Modern railguns would likely use current turret shapes.
    @CursedFlames I tried to make a modern version of the Graf Spee lol. It does look like a destroyer. This is because you don't usually see larger ships with these stealthy shapes which means the stealthy superstructure shapes are associated with Destroyers most times. But if larger capital warships were to return, they would carry similar shapes as modern Destroyers

  • Beginning of the End (SPRP 2030 S2) 5.8 years ago

    @apfel33
    Rip, don’t nuke anyone tho. Plus it’s a new season currently. No companies currently possess nuclear Armageddon abilities.

    @LiamW Sry, I'm not good with suspension. Or wheeled vehicles in general :/

  • Davy Crockett (Tactical Nuclear Launcher) 5.8 years ago

    @Pilotmario (suddenly absurd amounts of electromagnetic defense measures and missile systems)

  • Davy Crockett (Tactical Nuclear Launcher) 5.8 years ago

    @Pilotmario
    It’s fun when you’re not the one getting them.
    (Sits safely inside bunker surrounded by mountains in a secret location)

  • Davy Crockett (Tactical Nuclear Launcher) 5.8 years ago

    @Pilotmario
    But where’s the fun in that?

  • Davy Crockett (Tactical Nuclear Launcher) 5.8 years ago

    @Pilotmario Or or or
    We can use our own 155mm to fire nuclear rounds :v
    Because tbh, after nuclear war. Everyone would be tossing nukes left and right.

  • Davy Crockett (Tactical Nuclear Launcher) 5.8 years ago

    @Pilotmario Our version fires boost after launch laser guided projectiles. Which possibly pose a problem with firing over mountains due to lasers requiring line of sight. Drones providing spotting would be knocked out by the shockwaves. Mount it on a truck and charge into battle. Blow up a tank batallion in a single shot.

  • Davy Crockett (Tactical Nuclear Launcher) 5.8 years ago

    @Pilotmario eh, well assuming nuclear war does take place between us. Assuming both of us choose to continue to fight. Davy Crockett is better, faster response. Along with the ability to launch more of em.

    Uh huh...
    Good luck. You’ll need it 😉

  • Conflict in South America (S2-SP 2030 RP) 5.8 years ago

    @GeneralOliverVonBismarck Theres a bit of a situation currently going on in Europe. You can join as Germany but your currently commanding the nation from an offshore vessel due to dangers on mainland. I won't spoil it for you.

  • Battleship Yamato Refit No.2 5.8 years ago

    @GeneralOliverVonBismarck Well, Russia invaded Japan before the US. And Japan never launched Ten-go. I’ll probably explain more later.

    @GAFAnderson Nope, but it was inspired by the Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt Close Air Support Aircraft.

  • Paternian Military Intelligence Report 19-8182 5.9 years ago

    Fine, if it’s such a big deal about Sliders.
    https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/C8Snoc/Fighter-Aurora-Updated-VTOL
    Boom, it’s fixed @Pilotmario

  • Paternian Military Intelligence Report 19-8182 5.9 years ago

    @Pilotmario Simpler with a slider. AG groups aren’t harder than that by much. Thus putting our capabilities of V/STOL very close. Making no clear advantage over each other.

    The Hypersonic Missiles we’ve launched are able to track targets themselves. Like I’ve said, some missiles launched are dedicatied to spotting and sent on different courses to mislead defense systems and spot at the same time for other missiles.

  • Paternian Military Intelligence Report 19-8182 5.9 years ago

    Also, we have the Valor Supersonic Heavy Strategic Stealth Bomber.
    And I don’t get what you mean by how he V/STOL lack ease of use. I’ve been able to land Aurora, Harrier, Longbow, and Katayev many times with ease. Aurora just requires knowing which AG groups are which. After that, just tilt the aircraft to adjust, then land. Many of our pilots have found this to be pretty easy after a couple tries, with computer systems stabilising the aircraft. We’ve concluded it’s merely Paternian Opinion about our V/STOL capabilities.

    Btw, pretty much this is based off of a previous RP (SP International Council) Which has pretty much died. My current RP I’m participating in has a lot of reworks to the nation fixing many of the flaws of its previous. We are based as China instead of Russia currently.
    Reliance on imported weapons has been decreased. Decommissioning of many fighter aircraft to limit the variety of parts needed to produce. And standardisation of cartridges.

    An overlap in our national canons is the use of missiles and our technology which you’ve labeled as copies. Harriers are yes bought from America. But most of the missiles we use are pretty much the ones used by America today. In our story, we’re the ones who developed them. Most of the things I make that are American IRL that are used by the Federation I give Russian/Japanese Names for this reason.

  • Paternian Military Intelligence Report 19-8182 5.9 years ago

    @Pilotmario
    Yeah but the problem is. You translate that to:
    Battle of the Arctic Sea
    Iridium: Fires 150 Hypersonic Anti Ship Missiles
    Paternia: Missiles we’re fired from out of range (Which they weren’t since they were launched well within 1200 Miles <.>) and all miss because of bad quality electronics
    South China Sea Incident
    Iridium: Deploys Electronic Jammers Launches Hypersonic Missiles at 500 Miles
    Paternia: Dodges all the Missiles ir shoots them down and shrugs off Jammers because Iridium Electronics suck
    ———————
    As a reminder to any RP mods that see this.
    “It's considered to be a document created by Paternia at a point before Iridium removed conscription laws based on information that may or may not be fully correct.

    —word not law” -SP 2030 RP Owner Pieguy

  • Paternian Military Intelligence Report 19-8182 5.9 years ago

    Also, we don’t use Conscripts anymore in the newer RPs. They’re enlisted units. Our navy has actually been heavily improved for quality control. Along with some state of the art systems such as ones mounted in the Sil’nyy Class Heavy Destroyers. With a much better economy (due to a better choice in territories) we have greatly improved our equipment.

  • Sil'nyy-Class Guided Missile Destroyer 5.9 years ago

    @Pilotmario we class vessels by what their task is. Along with the ability to get more support in their construction as classing them as cruisers may not receive as much support as a destroyer as they sound more expensive. The Udaloy Class destroyer has four CIWS points for AK-630 type weapons.

  • Status-6 OMS (Poseidon) 5.9 years ago

    @AvroPilot The view of who is "bad" usually comes from preference. Russia probably went through a similar "Red Scare" type situation during the Cold War as we did fearing them. Along with they think we're evil for breaking treaties and having a near world wide military dominance, thus justifying their buildup of new "super weapons." While the US sees this as a threat to their superiority and fears them. Views of good and bad depend on which side you mostly associate with. NATO countries usually carry the same "Russia is evil" type of view point.

  • Status-6 OMS (Poseidon) 5.9 years ago

    @EternalDarkness We already employ Supercavitating torpedoes, which I believe travel at higher speeds. But, since this is nuclear powered, it does travel further. Paternia who is the most likely rival to us, employs torpedo APS on their ships like we do. Though, this torpedo travels at around (115?) mph. It could possibly allow us to strike vessels at long distance and evade these Active Protection systems.

  • Status-6 OMS (Poseidon) 5.9 years ago

    @EternalDarkness Which is why, I would be putting these new weapons into a more “aggressive” or “offensive” use in RPs. Assuming nuclear weapons are allowed. If not, these can act as spotting or scouts. Even submarine hunters.

  • Burevestnik Nuclear Powered Cruise Missile 5.9 years ago

    @Botfinder Not exactly sure, but it’s extremely far. It poses a light threat. Not too extreme. Light radiation sickness is experienced from where it passes. But clears up within a couple days. No severe radiological harm unless prolonged exposure over a longer period than the particles even stay. So, not extremely harmful.

  • Iridium Federation Basic Information 5.9 years ago

    @Awsomur We are dedicated to national defense. Employing highly advanced mines, artificial islands, coastal batteries such as railguns and Hypersonic missiles. Our naval forces are mostly centered around the defense of the nation. Our homeland is priority. Anyone attempting an attack would be facing an overwhelmingly large amount of power. Most nations have an invasion force, while we do have the capability to do so. We focus heavily on defense. We do use long range weapons to fire from “behind cover.”
    We never stopped production during the Cold War. We never dismantled them. We kept them to make attacking us not worth it. If you attack us, you won’t get far. Your nation wouldn’t last long against the overwhelming firepower of long distance engagement. We don’t want trouble. We just want to maintain our borders.

  • Battleship Yamato Refit No.2 5.9 years ago

    @KerlonceauxIndustries Its just two length xml edited pistons, a rotator, and a helicopter. Set all on landing gear.
    It has problems though, like smashing into the ship and getting stuck lol

    @SledDriver
    Thank you c:
    Yeah, I'm not really sure how to make a muzzle flash any other way. The exploding part upon firing thing is not really something I know how to do exactly as most of the time, it breaks the gun or detonates the shell.

    @ThomasRoderick Yeah, they also allow it to float like a float plane.

  • Samurai Katana (Version 1) 5.9 years ago

    I noticed that there was a lack of Katanas on the website, most of the ones lacked a curve. So I decided to try to make a Katana with as smooth of a curve as I could. Theres a bit of bumps on the sections but its not too much of a problem.

  • M134 Rykova Minigun (Auto Cannon) 5.9 years ago

    @AWESOMENESS360 I’ve been experiencing problems with doing that. Since the only way this can fire correctly with little issue is if the rounds have mass. I’ll upload an ultra light version soon™️ which may or may not have problems.

  • Sparrow Class Ekranoplan 5.9 years ago

    @GeneralOliverVonBismarck Sure, sounds great! Also, the war seems to be drawing to a close after neither nation has made a significant push into each other’s territories.

  • Sparrow Class Ekranoplan 5.9 years ago

    @MintLynx
    Thx but, Yeah. I had troubles scaling the pistons down and forgot to do so. Thus making them a bit visible. In future Ekranoplans I’ll scale the pistons down so they aren’t as visible as seen here.

  • Aerosub Exocoetidae (Flying Fish) 5.9 years ago

    @Pilotmario Its mostly a submarine in the sense that it can go underwater. The system it uses isn't extremely complex. Ballast tanks below the wing take water in and pump it out via pushing and pulling a gas in and out to take in and remove water (I'll clarify as this may or may not be the real mechanism). Water jet engines are mounted in the back. Its control underwater utilizes the vertical stabilizer and water jets to direct the aircraft. Unable to submerge to great depths due to pressure. So its just the basic submarine concept. The aircraft is medium weight and has a pretty low carrying capacity as most of the weight goes to reinforcement.

    It works quite decently but turning isn't great along with its speed which usually runs at low power to save fuel but on max can push the aircraft to high speeds. Thus why its air time is usually for short-medium duration missions. Expected to land and submerge to return home if fuel doesn't allow for a quick return.

  • Sparrow Class Ekranoplan 5.9 years ago

    @DeidaraEnterprises Same, we have deployed expanding rounds laced with hemotoxins. Along with an incendiary style of attack. We produce Thermobaric, Napalm, and white phosphorus rounds for mortars, howitzers, artillery, and guns. Seeing the land and your fellow units turn the ash around you in a few seconds is a pretty good way to hit morale.

    Here, we just sort of made a modern version and continued development.

  • Aerosub Exocoetidae (Flying Fish) 5.9 years ago

    @Irobert55 Yup, pilot did though criticize them saying they would be screwed over by waves. Which I know wouldn't do much to them since its a large craft and the engines are made to be fine with a little water getting in. And its aerodynamic shape could push through pretty well. But I was worried that a small ground effect fighter would have more of a problem than the Ekranoplans due to them having much less mass.

  • Aerosub Exocoetidae (Flying Fish) 5.9 years ago

    @Irobert55 This aircraft does slightly suck at being both, though being a decent fighter jet, but a bad sub. But is still a threat in combat. With new jet technology, the Aerosub can approach under the radar at high speeds then attack seemingly out of nowhere deploying cruise missiles and a lighter version of the Zircon Hypersonic missile.
