Yeah I created a similar post a while back, I wanted to use one engine as a short lived rocket and then the secondary engine as the main propulsion (sr53)
I'd like to add to Ghosts comments, if your on Windows (and it says you are) you can download the colour editor mod which will let you alter the colours to be much closer to the real thing. Nice attempt though.
@F104Deathtrap yeah ideas getting at the boeing style, early airliners where essentially military converts or interesting in their own right (dragon rapide, avro Anson etc) I just get bored easily looking at modern airliners, they need to start building blended wings :)
I feel I need to comment but know it will turn out wrong.... every modern day airliner follows the same form (some say form follows function) based on the simple requirement of highest revenue, due to this all airliners are essentially hollow (people filled) tubes (less likely to fail under pressurisation or suffer from metal fatigue). They only vary in size and add-ons like wing shape and engine count (take a cross section of an airliner through the hollow tube and you won't be able to identify the type barring the odd exception). But each to their own, I prefer military aircraft due to the valuation which comes from both innovation and function an f22 looks nothing like a mirage2000 or a hawk.
@AeroEngineering if I get a minute I'll give it a go, the roundels are the bits that take the time though (about 50 pieces each roundels which need to be individually positioned.)
@KerlonceauxIndustries k I'll consider that, no I havnt done a vixen, it's one of my favourites as well, I've even seen one flying, I'll probs do one at some point but I remember seeing one on here that was awesome.
@Mijmaj the f22 was too busy being serviced to notice me even arriving, then boom undetected, it's like the Vulcan and buccaneer in the old red top exercises but stealthy to boot. Ps I really doubt it would be used against you yanks, I could only imagine that would happen if you where to replace our chocolate with that hersheys crap ;)
No xml at all? So I can't disable collisions or have things activate and deactivate on buttons? I've got a crusader2 altered build which is nearly ready but it came into service in 1957 and has xml bits, I take it that wouldn't be accepted.
@ChiChiWerx well ive re-scaled it and sorted the airbrakes as you mentioned but either my wings are much too wide or the fus is too short and neither look out of proportion. ive scaled it so the wingspan is ok but the fus is 10ft short.... now extending the fus looks aweful. I'll wait and see who else comes up with ideas though.
@ChiChiWerx thanks for the comments, I can't believe I built it nts... oops. I'll rescale it and add selectable ab (the lab's deploy lower than the wheels on the real one, must have lead to some interesting landings.
Its sci-fi, short for science fiction. What are you looking for i.e does it have to be from a film or can we be creative? Future or alternative history? Mods?
@Tang0five Lol, I'm out of builds in progress now though, i was tinkering with loads that all just happened to get completed close together, your builds are awesome it's just such a shame your tablet doesn't let you have mods (they are indespensible once you have them), mods are for the last 1% of builds to tweak little bits so I'm not doing much really.
@Marine I've thought about doing something like this, reminds me of some old manga style films I saw as a kid, pure awesomeness.
@AdlerSteiner lol you got in before id even finished adding the screenshots and tagging people from the forum post, thanks, glad you like it.
@F4f879
@CursedFlames @CRJ900Pilot @Dllama4
@Chancey21 @AdlerSteiner @TheGuyYouMightKnow

@Storm41 it looks nice.
Its the meaning of life backwards
+1An actual p38 on this game that bears a resemblance to the actual aircraft, well done.
@lolvplol yes. They are not affected in any way by fuselage blocks
You do realise this is simple Planes forum not world of warplanes?
+1@RodWan woot if I remember I'll submit something, is it limited to 1 entry? When's the deadline?
I like that s it's predecessor was a sukhoi :)
I'd like to add to Ghosts comments, if your on Windows (and it says you are) you can download the colour editor mod which will let you alter the colours to be much closer to the real thing. Nice attempt though.
+1Woot a flying pancake. I've been meaning to do one of these for a while.
@CeeToTheZee it was never made hence fictional but is based on an actual aircraft design hence a replica. A fictional replica.
@BaconRoll I tried hard to make them oval in shape ;)
@Kitt12342016 happy days, I was just curious as I built this month's ago and it's rare on here for an older build to get any attention.
Cool, it looks like it should fly the other way though :)
Its always a good idea to be a bit closer on your photos so you can see the plane better ;)
Cool looking people transporting tube with wings, awesome attention to detail.
Erm the predecessor says f15 and that doesn't look like an f16 either..
Looks good but a couple of extra screenshots would have been nice (you can use 3 by default). Ps how on earth did u come across this build?
Congrats, well played

+2@Tang0five that's why I posted the flying pics, just in case someone didn't believe me!
@JetFly here

+1I raise you my cruise liner flying boat, you can't get any more unusual than that.
I only got half way down, but I see where you are going with this and agree with the sentiment.
+7???
A description wouldn't go amiss ;)
@Awsomur woot thanks for the mention.
@CRJ900Pilot did I mention its a flying cruise liner?
@Minecraftpoweer it's my second highest upvoted build but yeah with that many downloads...
@AeroEngineering if I get a minute I'll give it a go, the roundels are the bits that take the time though (about 50 pieces each roundels which need to be individually positioned.)
@tsampoy @Minecraftpoweer yep tsr2 here glad people liked to download it anyway ;)
Could be worse, one of my older builds has 9000+ downloads but less than 1% of that votes.
+1@KerlonceauxIndustries k I'll consider that, no I havnt done a vixen, it's one of my favourites as well, I've even seen one flying, I'll probs do one at some point but I remember seeing one on here that was awesome.
@Carbonfox1 but units super ugly. Thanks for the suggestion though

@Tang0five FEATURED woot.
+1@Delosofy cool thanks, glad you liked it.

What razor said. It should have 0 instead of -1
