before the site had upvotes, planes were rated on a _/5 star system. The grandfather account was originally made by AndrewGarrison (i think, pls no quote) to make it easy for popular craft from that time to be found easily, because the reworking of the system meant it had to be reset. So, basically, it's an archive.

1. the polar express was intended for children and a lot of inaccuracies were made to slip because of it (ie a whole consist cannot drift across a frozen lake)
2. regular train service has never been to the point where it would keep rails warm, plus signals regulate the distance between trains
3. theres only high friction and compression when trains brake, but it doesn't leave anything. if it was a high amount, it would burn through the rails like dirt
