@Sharkie Mobile will get the ability to order from within the game in the future hopefully...but in any case, we will be adding the ability to get prints directly from the website so anyone can get one...won't need to be from in the game.
Whoa! The Corsair is one of my all-time favorites. The landing gear retraction is really sweet. It flies well, and the instrument panel is insane. Amazing man...truly amazing :)
@hartobr Mac app store will get the update of course, it will come around the same time as the final iOS release (again, we are at the mercy of their approval times...they approve each separately).
@Mod Advanced wheel physics are as complicated as wing physics (I'd wager more so)...there are issues in the beta such that you mentioned. We know about many of them, but keep the feedback coming.
@bspboy We really don't know on iOS approval time. It can take a few days, or a couple weeks at worst depending on their queue load. It is really out of our hands. We are of course hoping for a quick turnaround.
@Coen1888 "Small racetrack?" Yup, the new island in this beta release will go to mobile which...(don't want to spoil it)...has some race-tracky stuff to put it mildly.
I just want to ask if everyone is aware that "stealing" designs in this manner gives the original creator points as well when it is upvoted? We thought that would make this issue less of...an issue since you also get points when a re-upload gets 'em.
@TheLatentImage @WalrusAircraft We've seen the issue w/vehicles pulling to one side. I personally have never seen one pull to the left...always to the right. Do you have an example of a left-puller?
@NovaTopaz We do dynamically load things in/out of memory. We don't keep all islands loaded at once. Maywar in particular, is too large by by itself for mobile...most devices run out of memory immediately and crash.
@FrankieB Did you know the new islands were there? Have you looked for them? We're trying to figure out how hard they are for people in the beta to find, or if they even didn't know about them.
@HellFireKoder This one "sucks" too, just happens to make the jump in style...it was a total accident. I was trying to see if the bugger could make the jump...it was coming up short.
I then ramped engine power up to max and added power to the front wheels...and slapped on some wings for some lofty air-time maximization.
I am not joking, the very first attempt did something like this...Kevin was watching and when it flipped and landed we both burst out laughing...we could not believe it.
@TheLatentImage : Yeah, I thought I was toast...and "biff it hard" made me lol :)
@Flightsonic : No hax, here is the buggy. You do have to be lined up almost perfectly to make the jump though, so it may be hard to reproduce w/o my exact starting location Little Bugger - Flipper
@Flightsonic Ok, I can't reproduce it anymore, even with your plane.
Please let me know if you find a way to reliably do so. I would question whether I wasn't hallucinating to begin with if it weren't for you guys saying you've been able to produce the problem.
I made a change (which is in the current beta) to never load planes with over 7 wings, or 150 parts...I just thought the fps load was probably so much that a lot of people may turn the AI off. We don't currently allow more than 3 for the same reason.
The planes are selected at random.
Loading the built-in planes is not a bug...they could have better names though. There are probably a lot more of them that are small enough to be loaded, so they might show up more often though.
The first time it loads a plane it runs a "flyability" test. It tries to do a 180deg turn then fly toward a point...if it can't make it for whatever reason, it marks it as unflyable, and won't spawn it again...unless you make changes to the design...it will try again after that.
@Sharkie Mobile will get the ability to order from within the game in the future hopefully...but in any case, we will be adding the ability to get prints directly from the website so anyone can get one...won't need to be from in the game.
@DestinyAviation You can 3D print any "Aircraft" from within SimplePlanes via a menu item in the designer.
Love it :)
You will go down in SP legend...thank you for finding, and being a part of SimplePlanes.
Nice design!

@BRuthless The bombs gained altitude after you dropped 'em in level flight?
@Jp You don't need to use the beta to get it. It the public version now. Try restarting Steam if it isn't updating.
@WNP78 What device are you using when you see that screen.
@Mod Advanced wheel physics are as complicated as wing physics (I'd wager more so)...there are issues in the beta such that you mentioned. We know about many of them, but keep the feedback coming.

@ThunderscreechEngineering Android will be tomorrow barring anything unforseen, iOS depends on Apple's approval time.
@Jolteon I'd take BoxGlow up on his offer...sounds like a steal.
@TheMasterSoldier I really like it too, it was Kevin's brainchild.
@HellFireKoder We'll look into that, thanks.
We're working as hard as we can to get it out asap...we understand the frustration for sure though.
This put such a big smile on my face watching it...especially in slow-mo. You did this on iOS too...my hero :)
@GrimMantis That is true, but I don't think that is what people are referring to here for the most part. Plus, we take those down any time we see 'em.
I just want to ask if everyone is aware that "stealing" designs in this manner gives the original creator points as well when it is upvoted? We thought that would make this issue less of...an issue since you also get points when a re-upload gets 'em.
@Upquark It is only on the current beta build on Steam.
@HellFireKoder Haha, nice :)
Yeah, I was just joking around.
@TheLatentImage @WalrusAircraft We've seen the issue w/vehicles pulling to one side. I personally have never seen one pull to the left...always to the right. Do you have an example of a left-puller?
Dude...this thing sucks...no offense.
It goes forward b/c you have engines...it lifts off of the ground b/c of the wings+engines.
So...it "flies" b/c of those things.
Curious why you asked "How did this Fly?"...just wanted to know what you were confused about, or if you thought you were seeing a bug/issue.
It doesn't fly all that well...what surprises you about how it behaves?
Signed
@WNP78 Because 99.9% of my play time is done while developing.
@NovaTopaz We do dynamically load things in/out of memory. We don't keep all islands loaded at once. Maywar in particular, is too large by by itself for mobile...most devices run out of memory immediately and crash.
@jsaret Doubt that will ever happen...better-off using one browser per account.
@Sutairs Even with terrain quality to low...does that help?
@bspboy Maywar Island (and therefore this ramp) is in the new update for PC (Steam). It will only make it on PC though.
I tried it several times on my Samsung Galaxy S7, and the game crashed frequently even on a brand-new phone...it is just too big for mobile.
@WalrusAircraft Yep, we did, lol. We hid the stuff before opening the doors though.
@WalrusAircraft Yeah, we're looking into it. Thanks :)
This is amazing...Kevin demo'd it for us.
@FrankieB Ok, so you have looked for the desert island, but couldn't find it...how long have you tried to find it...or how many times?
@FrankieB Did you know the new islands were there? Have you looked for them? We're trying to figure out how hard they are for people in the beta to find, or if they even didn't know about them.

@Flightsonic Yeah, it seems to happen all the time, not related to engines.
@Flightsonic Ok, I've been able to reproduce it a few times now. Thanks a lot! :)
@Flightsonic Ok, I can't reproduce it anymore, even with your plane.
Please let me know if you find a way to reliably do so. I would question whether I wasn't hallucinating to begin with if it weren't for you guys saying you've been able to produce the problem.
@Flightsonic Wait, I thought I'd confirmed it, but now I can't reproduce...does it happen every time? Can you upload a design that does it every time?
Hmm, I have confirmed it...
Thanks for reporting.
@mattmck L by default.
@BeryllCorp That is a very good question...it probably does include structural panels, but should not. I'll check it out.
I'm not sure about upping the wing count, we want the sandbox ai to have as little impact on fps as possible.
I made a change (which is in the current beta) to never load planes with over 7 wings, or 150 parts...I just thought the fps load was probably so much that a lot of people may turn the AI off. We don't currently allow more than 3 for the same reason.

@BoxGlow The face...Kevin made it...Kevin is weird.
