And propfans were originally designed to be able to go up to Mach 0.86

  • Prop Fighter Challenge. [closed] 4.0 years ago

Uh, just a clarification, you say that planes cannot go over 1000 kmh, and mine reaches 1100 kmh, or higher in a dive. Is that okay?
    .
To add on, it is a Propfan aircraft, which is TECHNICALLY a turboprop

  • Pembroke P-5 pelican 4.0 years ago

    @PapaKernels lol, you're fine
    .
And that's cool! Can't wait to see what your idea is

  • Pembroke P-5 pelican 4.0 years ago

The foot pedals are weird, but I inverted one of them so they work now 😂
    .
Beyond that, this plane is really cool. It looks simple from the outside, but she has an amazing interior, and I love the moving canopy and flight controls. Great plane.
One thing I wish it had was actual moving ailerons, but other than that, amazing

  • Another sh*t thing happened to me.Pls help! 4.0 years ago

Okay, most unstable planes use the CoM in the rear, and canards at the front because of how unstable it is to allow supermaneuverability without TVC.
When it comes to your build however, everything is almost AT the rear. No one cares about the CoT, so here's something about the CoM and CoL:
    .
The CoL is the point the aircraft wants to LIFT from. The CoM is the point the aircraft could balance on if you put it on a stand.
Taking this into context, if those two points are at the rear, the aircraft will just want to do a nose dive and won't take off. At least moving the CoM might help a bit.
    .
Now, when it comes to that glitch, as people below have stated, it is likely the gear, and I am no help there lol. I hope this helps

  • Just wondering... 4.1 years ago

    @Captain247 of course!
Sorry if I came off aggressively XD

  • Just wondering... 4.1 years ago

    Oh, and trim wheels
Aileron trim, yaw trim, and pitch trim. I know all of these are on the king air because these style of dual props need them in the event of engine failure

  • Just wondering... 4.1 years ago

@Captain247 attitude indicator, parking brake, cowl flap controls, flap controls, foot petals/foot petal brakes, fuel selector, battery switches, avionics master switch, overall master switch, NAV light switches, pitot tube heat, heading, flight hours clock, landing gear lever, digital 6-pack, GPS system, air conditioning, heating
    .
I could go on for days.
Also, what do you mean people don't know about the VSI? It's part of the 6 pack 😂

  • Just wondering... 4.1 years ago

    Do you have yokes?
    And what about Mixture/Throttle?

  • Navy Specifications Challenge [CANCELED] 4.1 years ago

@Tomcatbetterthanhornet that's awesome! But please make it at least 150 parts
    .
Also, what weapons will it have? During this era there were no missiles, so it would be a brick in the sky without even rockets

    ~USN COMMANDING OFFICER REPORT~
    .
Alright, matey, this aircraft performs pretty well! Take off is smooth, the jet engine and prop engine are really nice (HOW DID YOU DO THAT WITH THE PROP?)
The weapons are pretty good, nice damage, and I think it could fare well in a Dogfight. The internal bombs bay makes for a really unique design, and it seems nice. The only downside is that, at least in real life, there is so much empty space on the inside, this aircraft would likely crunch on landing on an aircraft carrier. But those landings are pretty nice in the game. A good all-around mixed-propulsion naval fighter. I will put this in the tournament! Good luck, m8

  • Navy Specifications Challenge [CANCELED] 4.1 years ago

@Tomcatbetterthanhornet I mean, sure, but the issue comes down to how will it fight then?
    .
And I will say yes, but only if it is at least 150 parts

  • CLOSED Tank Challenge 4.1 years ago

@MrGreen what is the max number of cannons/guns?
