@ChiChiWerx anyways, sorry for that massive message lol. When I get closer to finishing it, would you like to flight test it?
.
At the rate I'm going, it should be at that point by the end of next week. This is the first plane that I can't stop finding things to do better lol. The only places I'm doing minimal detailing (to keep part count down) is the Cupolas. The cockpit and bombardier areas will be fully detailed, along with the externals
@ChiChiWerx Thank you so much for your help!!
.
I've done the ideation on the controls, and am headed in a very similar way you are explaining. The props will be on 1-6, and the jets on 7. The lights will all be on 8, as that will always be on. I've started the landing gear, and actually am almost done with my first REAL landing gear. The suspension system is realistic, and the doors are too.
.
I agree with your statement, what I said about hydraulic systems being too weak was inaccurate, but it did NOT use hydraulics for the control surfaces. Much like today, the flaps extend and rotate downwards (with fuselage slicing, this will be super easy), and those are the only hydraulically-actuated surfaces. The rudder also was hydraulically actuated. And yes, it will be controllable, not sluggish. I want to make sure of that
.
And finally, the elevator also had hydraulic actuation, but only for take off. If you look at Strategic Air Command (the movie), on takeoff, the elevator is fixed at an upwards pitch. I want to attach this to the LandingGear input, that way it helps on landings too. I just tested my propeller for this aircraft, and the reverse thrust input is super realistic, and does not do that much (which I don't want it to instantly stop the plane). The plane weights as much as a train.
@PlaneFlightX lol! I mostly just want those circular green bars to make up the interior to make It look more beefy and interesting (even though you won't see the ones in the rear)
.
I'm about to start paneling the cockpit
@Thorne I'm going to be making a complicated cockpit for my B-36, and the controls have a roll axis attached to a pitch axis. Only the things attached directly to the controls work. So the handle can roll for roll, and then the stick and handle also apply force for the pitch (I believe, can't test it out). I hope this helps
@Thorne I had the same worry
.
I play on Android, and as far as I can tell, yes. I personally cannot test, as I do not have VR, but you chose what inputs it has. Anything attached to it applies force to it. There's yoke input, lever input, stick input, you name it. If it has yoke, there's another one that has the rotation only... forgot what it was. But yeah, it has it
@AWESOMENESS360 thx m8
It's not much rn, and this is my first time making a "professional" replica. So... might take some time because I want to perfect it lol
@BogdanX WAIT. the formation lights were actually IN the game? I saw your video
.
And the connections and stuff... OMG. This update has to be the best thing ever. Y'all have outdone yourselves this time
@Formula350 All good, dude! No worries lmao
That's a good way to do it tbh. I just saw that you mentioned that you had seen someone else's, and mine is basically the only one on this site lmao. I want to remake it with the new cockpit parts once the update becomes available to mobile
@Vincent oh, I didn't mean it like that lol
.
I just meant that like the VR players who exclusively want the VR experience are at our hands to build for them

@Chancey21 look at the edit
TERRIER
+2@Chancey21 oh, agreed lol. I still haven't gotten it to work
Nice!!
.
One question, why is the trigger so far away from the grip?
@Chancey21 there is that?? I've been looking over all of the XML pages lol
@AndrewGarrison
Saab J-29D?
Nice planes!!
@Red0Bulll It worked for me... weird
.
But yeah, it'll be out in a bit
2 is what the real one had (if this is a T-33/P-80), but I think 1 would be the coolest
@Defalt1 there's gonna be a SP2??
+1@PapaKernels thx dude
+1@JuanNotAnAlt Thanks!
@PlaneFlightX lol! I mostly just want those circular green bars to make up the interior to make It look more beefy and interesting (even though you won't see the ones in the rear)

If you'd like to be tagged, place a "T" in the comments. I will also set up reminds for everyone every time I update this, to keep y'all up to date
@HungryBoat2 you have to click on the sign up link
@VolcanicAsh I just got it
+1@VolcanicAsh did it get released?
+1Mine says 1.11, but hasn't changed anything
+1.
Yours is still in the update from last year
I've had the same issue. My phone says I have the update... but it doesn't
+2@Cerdd okay, awesome!! Thanks
That was one of my biggest concerns lol
@Cerdd like do the control bases move when you use an input? (Roll, pitch), or do they only move when you interact with them
Question:
Do the cockpit parts move when you use a control? Like a rotator? I'm just curiois
.
This aircraft is sick though, dude! Nice shots too
This is super cool!!
+1.
You should paint the vertical stabilizer blue like on the OG one tho. Just my thought
This is awesome!!
@PapaKernels yeah, there's a beta sign up
+1Radium?
+1Radium?
+1This is like a mix between a Karabiner 98K and an M1 carbine lol. Nice job!
+1@V if they made it so the blueprint doesn't disappear, it would be great and a lot less annoying lol
.
All great questions

@Kangy awesome!!
+1@TatsuTheOtaku yeah lol
+1@jamesPLANESii 😂
Just wait for my B-36... >:)
.
But I completely agree. Looks are nothing if it doesn't perform
This is amazing!!
WAIT. You're a genious!! The cockpit is beautifully laid out
.
Out of curiosity, does it mirror them, or no?
Is that the new Wasp!?
@V yes
And the frames will help a lot with placement of the cockpit dials lol
