    @CongTheWawa
    I actually have made target versions of my WIP vehicles (not completed, not uploaded yet), but feel free to make your own version if you want to

  • M103A2 v299-302 by Kendog84u (Ground Target) 2.7 years ago

    Nice:) And thanks for the credit!

    If you're going to spawn this as a static target, you can lower the part count and performance cost even more by removing rotators and replacing the cannon with a fake barrel made with fuselage block:)

    @rexzion
    I see, so it's not exactly the same as the piston

  • SIMPLECHEATS II, an updated, comprehensive list of all known XML attributes 2.7 years ago

    @TheFlightGuySP
    I've experienced the same thing with missiles. I suspect they don't accept numbers below the default value (which is hidden), but I could be wrong. Having default values on the spreadsheet would be great if that's the case

    Same (ish?) thing happens with wing guns, but with them it's only when the value is the same with default (seems to be the case for all hidden/unlisted attributes in Overload).

    If this is the case, default damage of wing gun seems to be 30, and impactForce 10.

  • Look behind camera (automatic piston FT) 2.7 years ago

    @ollielebananiaCFSP @rexizon
    Ohhh, so it's one of those unlisted variables... that's wonderful. (it's not even listed on SimpleCheats II yet)
    Good to know though, thanks for the tips:)

    How does it work, though? I'm entering pretty big set of numbers ('999,-999' and such) but it ain't doing anything.

  • Look behind camera (automatic piston FT) 2.7 years ago

    @ollielebananiaCFSP
    Whoa really? How do you do that?
    I suppose it's possible on mobile (ios) as well?

  • Look behind camera (automatic piston FT) 2.7 years ago

    <Update>
    Turns out, you can do this with an XML attribute called lookBackTranslation, without using a piston (with a slight caveat).

    CameraVantage
    lookBackTranslation (X, Y)

    Moves your camera position sideways when you look behind (+ 90 degrees sideways?).
    You must enable "AutoCenter" for this to work.

    First number (X) is how much your camera moves sideways/in X axis.
    I'd say somewhere around 0.4 is practical for a 1:1 scale single seater.

    Second number, Y, is how much your camera moves horizontally at the same time. You can keep it at 0 unless you need it

    Here's the caveat. You cannot change when your camera starts moving unlike with an FT piston (it's always 90 degrees), and you must have Auto Center enabled.
    Thanks to rexizon for the tips

    (My original comment)
    This FT moves your First-Person camera sideways when you look beyond certain angle of view (80 deg + to the left/right at current settings). Comes in handy if your aircraft has something that blocks your rear view right behind the seat.

  • IF argument FT for landing gear & door 2.7 years ago

    Door (left door in this example) waits for the gear to fully go up or down before it starts moving, and vice versa, regardless of how fast they move. Does not use delay function, pretty simple.

  • M103A2 Heavy Tank 2.7 years ago

    @spectre118
    Try re-downloading the tank, I checked with a fresh download and it worked on my end, so if that doesn't fix it, it might be something other than the build that's causing it to not work.

  • M-103 but with real tracks 2.7 years ago

    Nice demonstration.
    To be frank, I'm not interested in adopting that type of tracks right now since it's too costly and I like my system, but that climbing capability is pretty impressive. Does that system work with smaller roadwheels (& sprockets/return rollers) as well?

  • Dynamic window lighting with formation lights 2.8 years ago

    @ReinMcDeer
    That would be cool, oh yeah
    You can probably do something similar with normal fuselage parts as well, if you have two set of windows with one set painted in emissive color, and placed on a piston or something. Piston extends and growing windows pop up and over the normal ones. May require complex funky coding to make them turn on/off at fixed interval, though.

  • Dynamic window lighting with formation lights 2.8 years ago

    Forgot to mention, but please feel free to use the lighting effect thing on your build. Credit would be appreciated. Not sure if I'm the first one to do this though, and the idea/tech itself isn't new.

  • Bug thread for v1.12.128 (current version) 2.8 years ago

    Camera's part variable bug
    When there's more than 1 camera with the same "Is Active" variable name (two cameras with "CameraA" in the "Is Active" field for example), that variable/funky codes using that specific variable stop working. (iOS)

    Gun parts - can't change zeroOnDeactivate
    I can't edit "zeroOnDeactivate" value of wing gun & gatling gun. I assume this is because these parts don't have the "InputController" menu (not in the Overload at least). Would be nice if you could change the value. (Tested with both "true" and "false")

    Below Solved

    -Turns out 'false' was the default for Roll and Pitch.
    Gyro & zeroOnDeactivate
    I cannot edit "zeroOnDeactivate" value of gyro's pitch and roll input for some reason, although I CAN edit it for Yaw input (ie set it to false). Would be nice to be able to change the value for pitch and yaw as well.

    Haha, glad you like it! As I wrote in the description though, I've borrowed a lot of components from other people's builds, and I definietly recommend you check them out, they are really cool stuff:) (if you haven't yet!)

    P.S.
    Oh, and I can't make a promise that I'll be building more tanks like this, I like building airplanes and other things just as much. Would love to see more tanks with this style of tracks though, maybe you should build one, hehe

  • W.I.P.D. Police Car - Chevy Caprice 9c1 Classic 2.9 years ago

    @DatRoadTrainGuy19
    Yeah, you could say that. Sorry for the optimistic estimate. I've got other problems to deal with too, tho, and building stuff just gets pushed aside in times of stress. You know, priorities. I don't want to publish unfinished things, and I constantly get new ideas to improve things, so that doesn't help either:/

    I'm sorry it's taking a long time, but I'm doing this for fun, yknow, in my own time. And I want it to be good or at least decent

    I'll be honest, I totally forgot about it until I read your comment. Haha. Thanks for reminding me about it.
    It's almost finished (has been for the last few months), so I'll try to upload it in a few days, but can't promise. In the meantime, I have a brand new tank nearly complete and preparing for upload, so look forward to it

    @Bellcat
    Thanks! Haha
    To tell the truth, this was just a teaser for an infantry squad build (with independently controllable walkers; check out this video for how it might look: Convoy Ambush), and I wasn't going to make a film, but I've decided to actually make one after seeing the positive response this post has received.

    I'm still undecided as to what exactly it's gonna be, but I think it'll be some kind of covert or special ops type of thing. Squad air drops somewhere, blow stuff up, and go home.

  • Ghost Planes: iPhone Builder (Ghost Recon parody/project teaser) 3.0 years ago

    @Brayden1981
    Ah, well that was a mistake. I was uploading it to backup the project, but accidentally made it public. Sorry for the confusion. (I deleted it right after that, but I guess the site still displayed it for some people)
    I think, or hope, rather, I can upload a finished version within a week.

  • Weapons Balancing Database and F-16C Update 3.0 years ago

    Good thing I found this database via your F-16, cool idea!

    I like the simplicity of explosion scales for bombs you set here. 1 for 500lbs, 2 for 1000, etc. It's also certainly less lag inducing on mobile than my current system (which uses the default value for Boom50 as the basis), so I think I'll adapt it. Thanks for the post!

  • Delta 7 Jedi Starfigther (FIX) 3.1 years ago

    Beautiful build, flies well too.

    Funny, all these years of watching star wars and playing star wars games, I didn't realize just how Star Destroyer-like this thing looks from some angles. Very recognizably Kuat design. My appreciation for this design just went up, triangles/sideway pyramids are the best!
