@Juanfly154 sure, though I'm not content with this version, it's a bit too simplified, and might work on something better if I got the time
it's basically works on the FT of GS
(clamp01(GS > lowest speed in that gear) * clamp01(GS < highest speed in that gear) * clamp(GS*gearing, lowest rev in that gear, highest rev in that gear)
Noted: speed should match with rev by a certain ratio and here's how I do it
take the second gear for example(clamp01(GS > 15) * clamp01(GS < 29.995) * clamp(GS*0.233,3.495,7))
we know the highest speed in second gear is 30, and it correlated to 7 in the tachometer, so the gear ratio would be 0.233... .And then we can calculate where at the lowest speed how many revs it should have, which is 3.495
repeat that for how many gears you want, and you will have a simple tachometer
@Thatguyinacomfy I want to recreate the skittish and floaty feel of 60's F1 car cause by big power, no downforce, light and mid-engine on it's 60's tyre
there's only so much I can do without really understand how exactly the wheel in SP works
@JumpingJack that's not exactly the issue, the issue is we can't exactly select in which percentage we want the component to start with.
in a lot of builds, it wouldn't matter much but in something like suspension or piston engine I would like to control the angle(not the total angel, but from which percentage) of travel from those components.
@AABBA For example, I build the engine as a separate part at first, using fine-tune mod to relative scale, then create a subassembly, then finally drop it into the car
@Simps not quite
the engine revs depend on how fast it goes(GS) so it's actually, and the wheels is conventionally powered. It's close enough though not quite directly powering the wheels.
2cv suspen concept
I've built the suspension of this car a while ago(with the self-adjusting mechanism like the real one), and I think you might be interested in it.
i would really like to ask where do you put the image
i used to use Imgur, but keep having the problem of not displaying though I'm pretty sure that i got the link in the description right
@ZHUAREVONI I find it kinda meaningless when it's just rotator power the engine output.
if I can make an in-game piston-powered or cannon/jet-powered engine, then it will be meaningful to hook it up to an output.
@superTT
this is a very crude concept of mine, using very simple FT to showcase the benefit of having an active suspension on highspeed offroad for pitch and yaw control.
it performs kinda only ok, still a concept to think with. But with more refined FT, still have huge potential.
oh wow
after seeing this, now i really want to roll out something outstanding like this
was thinking of quitting this game earlier, cause my computer is dying and don't have much time. Now maybe I will give it a second thought
@Juanfly154 same thing but in post form

+2fixed yet?
@Zanedavid for the amount of ground vehicle creation we have, I think wheel and tyre physics deserve a dedicated update
+9the physics on this looks almost realistic
sim racing experience on a game for building planes
nice

that's a lot of pixels
do you have any measure or blueprint of Aperture panel?
kinda want to build one myself
nice youtube profile pic
beautiful!
@Juanfly154 of course you can
@JumpingJack never heard of Subline
that's that?

hmm... looks delicious
@AABBA don't quite get what you mean
@frank77831 sum(your input)
as a musician I approve this
@Juanfly154 thx
but unlike your works(which I love a lot) this lack the cool rims and cool livery
@Simps not quite

@tsampoy @tucan big thx
@Simps don't quite get what you mean
@tsampoy there's more and more engine works in SP community, but one with working inside is still not that common
@Freerider2142 thx
+1@Sm10684
+1BRM: slaps two 180 degrees V8 together
BRM: yup, that's a new engine
@Simps i use muti-select function from fine tuner to move the outer case away
@Simps you just remove the outer casing of the engine

finally found it
ICB V8
try this work of mine, might give u some inspiration
I have a wacky thought to this, though idk if I have the time to do it or not
@Sm10684 k see it now
Thx
@Sm10684 wäre?
@Sm10684 when will we have the result?
@GrFrog thx, it's just something simple

oh wow
I was thinking using cannon to power engine without a timing system is kinda impossible
kudos to u
+1@xboxseriesx yes
fast doritos
he kinda cute
wow he cute
+1beautiful!
@Juanfly154
in your 787 b maybe?
@RankStarfish201 probably no, I'm considering quitting the game
and plus building replica is to me too exhausting
@superTT
this car is very fun and the look is spot on
nicely done
@TwistedWarshipDude This looks like it gonna be very exciting
