@ACEPILOT109
You'll pretty much get locked out of your designer cause if you try getting into it with a +1,000 prop engine it crashes. When that happened to me I think I had to disable the steam autosave/backup feature and delete the prop in the designer manually from the files.
@elmong
Yea my PC is fairly outdated (made in 2009), but it runs my games pretty good so I'm happy with it. If it takes a major beyond-repair crap then I may consider upgrading to a newer PC, but for now I'm fine with it, especially since it still uses Windows 7 which I really don't like Windows 10 (too many bugs and updates).
@Hyattorama
The CG, lift, and aerodynamics on this F-36 are in such a way that the elevons being backwards is what causes the plane to pitch up. Pretty weird.
@Hyattorama
Not sure if the elevons like that on the F-36 would work in real-life, but they do in SP, and when I reversed the direction the elevans went for pitch, the F-36's pitch was severely decreased in effectiveness, so I never corrected the direction the elevons turned for pitch.
@Hyattorama
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! Actually that is the correct way for pitch in this plane, at least in SP. When I first tested out JED's original F-36 for the first time, I noticed that the elevons were backwards for pitch, but they actually worked and pitched the plane very well, so I didn't change that and kept it when I made the detailed fake wing over the real blocky wing.
@BaconRoll
Thank you! Is the part count too high? 600-700 is the critical limit for my PC so I didn't add too many details that would push the part count too high.
@CptJacobson
Yea it takes a while before you get the hang of custom landing gear. Took me a couple of tries to get it right when I first started doing custom landing gear.
@BaconRoll
Hey I just spent mostly all day creating the images for the description of the official post (using an unlisted post as a template) and I prefer releasing my builds in the morning when more users are on, and it's fairly late on my end, so I'm going to be releasing the BNRV-36 first thing in the morning (on my end at least, so if it's already the 30th on your end it may show up as late). But it's 100% done so no more delays or waiting.
Ok so this is gonna be released a little late then planned because I'm making the description using images and pictures instead of just typing out in the descriptions, but I'm almost done. I just have to finish the last couple of slides for the back-story and then it will be released.
@BaconRoll
Thanks, although the info you see on the displays is purely a render/edit, not part of the actual aircraft. Aside from using instrument mods (which are removed on your version), I can't add any custom made gauges because the cockpit is too cramped to add anything else without the parts latching on to each other and breaking key features like the opening canopy, flight stick, or HOTAS throttle (and rudder pedals).
@aplayer
No mods at all. Well, the original F-36 uses Gestour's instrument mods but I removed them on the BNRV-36 variant since BaconRoll's challenge doesn't allow mods. The instruments your seeing in the cockpit image is a "render" or "concept" of what would be on the flight displays.
@JED
Well the standard F-36's aren't quite done yet but I'll be releasing the design a bit early with the BNRV-36 special variant for the Vanadia Air Force (@BaconRoll 's Challenge). Well thanks for tagging me on the original collab, as this wouldn't have happened without you.
@greasytortle
Thanks!
@MrSilverWolf
+2A Cessna SkyCourier would be great.
Rockwell Turbo Commander 690
Oh wow I just got done with a recent stealth fighter. Sounds perfect for this challenge.
Gonna make me a big chungus in 2019
yee
@Texasfam04
Thanks bro!
I Love this plane; STOL before it was cool!
+2@JED
Thanks!

Whatever you do, don't ever try a 1,000 prop engine. Just D O N T.

@BaconRoll
+1I also have different weapon configurations available in the description.
@BaconRoll
+1Removing the external weapons may help a bit with that.

Or you can make something along the lines of the CSA SportCruiser.
You could try making the Aerolite 103.
I guess I never miss
+1@marcox43
Thanks!
@JED
Oh it's no worry. I'm currently on winter break. I'm most likely going to release it on Friday.

Wow 300 downloads.
Why not all three? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

That's my kind of Christmas tree. Also, Merry-late Christmas! (more like happy new year now)
@Kazin
Oh yea almost forgot about that build.
Falcon BMS: SimplePlanes Edition.
6730 parts. This has got to be the highest-part-count build EVER in SP.
@EeoGamer137
It's a very good plane. Simple and low part count but it looks awesome, and I think you did a great job on the landing gear!
