  • Mod Suggestion: calculator 6.6 years ago

Yes, to find the x pos, it is:

    cos(θ) * D / 4

    And y pos:

    sin(θ) * D / 4

Where θ is the degree of the angle to the point on the circle, D is the diameter of the circle, * is the multiplication symbol, and / is the division symbol

Yes I do, that is why I am struggling with this actually. Creating circles needs a lot of calculating lol. I use it mainly for making my gears. @Spacedoge12345plane

Not by very much, since increasing speed would require more torque, which gyros do not have much of @Spacedoge12345plane

Hmm I’ve never had this problem. In my experience whenever adding more pistons it would increase torque, but it could sometimes make it a little bit more unstable. @ThePrototype

  • Clément Ader's Avion III 6.8 years ago

Yes, and while a piston engine is turning sometimes even if it is calibrated right, if the engine or the output of the engine gets stuck (like if an object gets in the way of it turning) it can change direction, but having a gyro give that constant small push automatically puts it back in the right direction again. @ThePrototype

  • Clément Ader's Avion III 6.8 years ago

Also another tip I’ve discovered is that if you use a gyro but turn off stability and only allow it to turn on the Yaw axis and set Yaw input to throttle, you can connect it to the engine to help power it and it will help the piston engine spin in the correct direction. Idk if what I just said makes sense when I put it in text but yeah lol @ThePrototype

  • Clément Ader's Avion III 6.8 years ago

Piston engines aren’t too hard you just have to know how to get the lengths right. @ThePrototype

  • Just a little thing I've been thinking about... 6.9 years ago

I'm too lazy to read read the comments below so somebody might have already answered this, but basically as you get closer to the speed of light the apparent mass of the object you are accelerating gets bigger and bigger, meaning it takes more and more force to push it. The mass gets larger and larger as you get closer and closer to the speed of light until it doesn't matter if you have the rocket force of 10 Saturn Vs, you aren't going to accelerate the object even an extra inch per second.

  • Unfortunate glitch in SP 6.9 years ago

But it isn’t consistent, for this example, when I put the slider all the way to the right, it turned 179.99 degrees instead of the correct 180 degrees. But if I did the exact same thing again and dragged the slider all the way to the right again, it might say like 178.79 or something like that, so even if I changed the sensitivity it would still make crazy turns. @stig27

  • Unfortunate glitch in SP 6.9 years ago

This is with the correct sensitivity to give me 180 degrees when I slide the bar all the way to the right. But the game it glitched to where it gives like 179.99 and stuff like that instead of 180 @stig27

  • Unfortunate glitch in SP 6.9 years ago

  • Unfortunate glitch in SP 6.9 years ago

Lol while that would work, using those buttons updates the object’s connection points which could make it connect to something I don’t want it to
