I don't know if the Crackhammer spawned a wave of people trying to make it fly or if the universal instinctive response to the Jackhammer is just "but what if it flew?", but either way I'm here for it.
The moderators spend their free time dealing with reports of spam, problematic users, etc. and making sure that everyone is following the rules. As far as I know they are not paid or otherwise compensated.
@MrSilverWolf
Sea Plane: You play SimplePlanes to fly planes. Not for dogfighting, not for breaking the laws of physics, but just to soar. You're glad that amphibious aircraft finally got the representation they deserved with the Sea Plane remaster, and you've refused to touch the Simple version ever since. You also think fuselage slicing was the single greatest feature ever added to the game.
Always fun when people find out that site rules are actually enforced.
For the record, here's what they say regarding this:
"We are not going to moderate every curse word, but please try to keep it clean.'
And a little further down:
"No hate speech. You will be banned immediately."
@Rb2h You should be able to add a second flight computer and set its variable outputs to the variables you're using for other FT in the build. You might need to rename the variables to avoid conflicting with the default ones (which are now being used by the jammer cockpit) but everything should still work otherwise I believe.
Basically, if someone blocks you, move on and forget about it. It's their choice to block you for whatever reason they want, and since it doesn't affect you in any way whatsoever other than being unable to comment on any of their posts, there's no need to make an issue out of it. All that it means is that that person, for one reason or another, decided they didn't want to interact with you anymore. The person who blocked you doesn't need to explain anything, and you don't need to offer your own explanation or anything in response either.
I started with @HuskyDynamics but changed my mind and deleted the account, then changed my mind again but found out that you can't use the name of a deleted account so I added a number.
I just hope we get an entirely separate set of every main section (aircraft lists, forums, mods) for SP2 instead of just having them be mixed. I could see the site header being restructured to follow the lines of the Juno site (for example), but with a second Content section for SP2.
I'm sure there will be some sort of separation or at least sorting system, but I hope it's not just a tag or something that gets applied when you post a plane. The forums in particular should be entirely separate for each game.
Oh this is fun. I've gotten it to within 0.1 miles but haven't gotten a hit yet (I'm assuming targeting the Beast while sitting in the container isn't cheating, since all I'm getting is a distance reading, not a heading or anything).
This comes down to the Graingy bureaucracy, really. Any good engineer knows how to work with design constraints, so if this engine is too powerful for your purposes, the design constraints were provided to your propulsion department incorrectly.
Alternatively, the possibility does exist that this engine is for an as-yet-unknown project for which it is indeed within the design specs, which again comes down to a failure of bureaucracy as I would expect the head of the company to at least be aware of any classified development taking place within it, even if they are not privy to the details.
I'm like 99% sure that the criteria is just "get picked by the devs because they think you'll be a good fit" rather than any hard yes/no conditions based on activity, time on the site, whatever.
Post it to Youtube (Unlisted works if you don't want it just to be public), then go to the Videos tab on this site and hit "Create", then follow the menus. You'll have to verify your channel, which should be a fairly simple process, and then you're good to go!
Again, just... don't upvote it if you don't like it. They're internet points. They don't matter. Follower upvotes are annoying but again, they really don't matter.
If a plane breaks the rules, report it and the mods will take a look. That being said, you can't get upset at "no effort" builds. Just because a build doesn't meet your quality standards doesn't mean it should be removed.
The Newest page shows the newest stuff that's been posted, by both experienced builders and kids who just bought the game today. If you don't want to see the low effort stuff, don't sort by Newest.
The pink bits are a bug that's been around since I think 1.10, possibly a bit earlier. When an AI plane crashes and despawns, any of their broken propeller blades aren't removed, but their texture is, so they end up just sitting there with the bright pink missing texture warning.
Don't use offensive symbols, unless they are necessary for historical accuracy (ie - Swastikas should only be used on things like a WW2 German Bomber).
My interpretation of this is that it extends to posts in general, not just symbols. A Nazi marching song posted for seemingly no purpose other than because you felt like it is pretty clearly outside of that rule regardless of whether you meant for it to have any political elements or not. I would advise deleting this post yourself before the moderators come across it.
Isn't checking links before you click them, like.... literally the most basic thing people are taught about doing anything online? Is that not common practice anymore?
If you're hosting images via Discord, they changed some stuff several months back which means that image links only last for a few days (so that they don't have to run the costs of hosting an indefinite number of images for an indefinite period of time, which makes sense). You'll need to use some other hosting site instead.
I would but
a. college
b. my keyboard broke slightly which means that either I can only throttle down by cutting the throttle entirely (which is not ideal) or I can only play using a Wii remote I have in my desk (also not ideal but for different reasons)
The .xml files store the aircraft data, the .bak files are backups of it (I'm not sure how they're generated because only some seem to have them, but they're basically the same file anyway). If you're copying planes from one device to another, all you need are the .xmls.

+2@YarisSedan Everything on that page still says 2025. It does say mobile will come "later", but that doesn't necessarily mean 2026.

You weren't kidding about the wing shape; I'm almost scared to ask how long that took. Amazing work as always!
