Is there a way to intercept a missile?

I'm tired of just using flares and chaff to avoid missiles and want something to intercept missiles like CIWS or small missile to stop incoming missile.

    Auto rotating turrets prolly
    But it can't really track the missile if you don't use mods or lots of funkytrees/variables

    This might sound weird but, guns
    NOTE: you might have to use a craft with a built in turret system for it to work and you'll use slow motion to make it easier to shoot down

    @RB107 also, make sure you have fast reactions. Obviously, missiles are fast, like really.

    I use machine guns on a ciws and go on slow mode to target them properly. Works everytime

    In SP1, missiles can be prematurely detonated (i.e. intercepted or shot down) with guns or cannons, but you have to have good aim because there's no way to lock them.
    As for SP2, all I'm allowed to disclose is whatever's been in Dorian's showcases, so I'd recommend checking there. I don't recall anything being said one way or the other on it, though.
