    @WIZARD2017 Well.. That probably your aircraft is way difference than mine, maybe it is too sensitive to high aoa.
    Quick fix is a bigger canard.

  • Unstable but stable 4.9 years ago

    @WIZARD2017 lol, ok I'll see what you come up with.

  • Unstable but stable 4.9 years ago

    @WIZARD2017 Absolutely, but I think your FT is better than mine to begin with.

    @MADWURST Thanks, have a nice Cobra day!!!!

  • EF-18D Viper FBW fixed landing gear 4.9 years ago

    @MADWURST The previous one is more stable than this so it barely do cobra, but this version is less stable so it can do cobra at higher speed but unfortunately it will lost control if not careful.

  • Ft help just some stuff so I can make a gunship (ac-130 style) 4.9 years ago

    @F104Deathtrap
    True lol. That's some next level stuff.

  • Ft help just some stuff so I can make a gunship (ac-130 style) 4.9 years ago

    Most conventional plane will turn in circle if you bank them, but to fly a beautiful circle you need a little rudder input for side-slip correction and elevator input to keep the nose level, that's all I know. The rest is trial and error :P

  • Ft help just some stuff so I can make a gunship (ac-130 style) 4.9 years ago

    @Kernels
    This might be what you are looking for, it have "turret mode" which will hold the plane in level flight while you using a turret, but I don't know how to make it fly in circle, I'm sure it can be done but more experience is needed.

  • My biggest project yet 4.9 years ago

    Somehow my GIF doesn't work on mobile.....
    Sorry mobile user.
    You'll need to imagine an unpainted Wyvern doing stunts instead.

  • My biggest project yet 4.9 years ago

    @Kernels 😁 It'll finish within this week if everything goes right.

  • EF-18D Viper Fly-By-Wire 4.9 years ago

    New version is here, fixed a bug in landing gear. I'm sorry.

  • EF-18D Viper Fly-By-Wire 4.9 years ago

    @MADWURST lol I tried but failed. Hats off to you.

  • Cockpit with night vision 4.9 years ago

    @Jdlarkspur Well... I'm sure your SP need update.

  • Cockpit with night vision 4.9 years ago

    @Jdlarkspur
    Can you takeoff and fly at all?
    Are control surfaces moving?
    This plane rely heavily on funky tree, please check if your version of SP support funky tree.
    Try other build with funky tree, if that does not work too, that mean your SP is not up to date.
    Or the update is bugged somehow? idk.

  • EF-18D Viper Fly-By-Wire 4.9 years ago

    @MADWURST You have done it? Noiceeeeee!!

  • EF-18D Viper Fly-By-Wire 4.9 years ago

    @Homemade1 And I've almost 0 experience on delta wing aircraft so I give this a try.

  • EF-18D Viper Fly-By-Wire 4.9 years ago

    @Homemade1 Well... I just saw it in your bio lol.

  • Dauntless Cat production version 5.0 years ago

    @teodor99 You in the Midway Challenge? I'll be waiting to see your plane :D

  • Midway Challenge Dauntlesscat 5.0 years ago

    @MajorSix Production version is here!! Dauntless Cat

  • Midway Challenge Dauntlesscat 5.0 years ago

    @MajorSix Actually I have had the production version in mind, a bit different and look a lot cleaner. That'll be my next entry if I can build it in time.

  • Midway Challenge Dauntlesscat 5.0 years ago

    @Eiro I'm trying to build Frankenstein style plane that barely flying and had some piece fly off here and there. To be honest, building an accurate replica and high part cont is really not my things but I tried anyways. Hope you like it :D

  • Cockpit with night vision 5.0 years ago

    Thanks everyone for upvoting, I hope you enjoy my work.
    Please tell me in the comments if my work have any bug or not working on your machine.

  • Cockpit with night vision 5.0 years ago

    @WernsterProductions Thanks!!!
    @psychoslayer I just add cockpit to a finished aircraft so there is no cockpit section, sorry. In the future I might build something that have a cockpit section that can easily pick up and change. You might as well use a whole nose section for this case.

  • SU-27 fly by wire 5.0 years ago

    @Diloph
    Thanks for the advice.
    About your question, this plane is stable in certain range of aoa so all I do is just make sure the plane never exceed that aoa and change airfoil to flat-bottom because it handle high aoa nicely. The hard part is to find the sweet spot that make the plane turn best and without going into danger aoa zone, that means a lot of flight testing lol.

  • SU-27 fly by wire 5.0 years ago

    @Mynamebob
    I'm just very busy with my work tbh.

  • Instant Cobra Maneuver MiG-29 MK.2 5.0 years ago

    @sheepsblood
    It's not pull up instantly by any mean lol.
    How it intend to do cobra is get up to speed and activate AG3 and then let go of the control, the plane should pull cobra by itself, after that the nose should drop to resume flight, only after that you deactivate AG3.

    If you have done differently than mine please tell me exactly how you do it so I'll figure out what's wrong.

  • Instant Cobra Maneuver MiG-29 MK.2 5.0 years ago

    @sheepsblood
    Well.. How fast are you going when you AG3 because it only work within certain speed range, it slow down to 500 km/h then pull up hard and stop pulling around 400 km/h.
    If it pull up to 90 degrees or more and comes down to level it's an original cobra when thrust vectoring is not a thing yet.
    This build goal is to do original cobra not hovering cobra like my pass build.
    Feel free to ask me if you got any question.

  • Instant Cobra Maneuver MiG-29 5.0 years ago

    New version with more realistic Cobra Maneuver is here!!!

  • Instant Cobra Manuver!!! 5.0 years ago

    @DanDaFreakinMan
    l'm pretty sure no stoned bat can stall-turn like this lol.

  • Instant Cobra Maneuver MiG-29 5.0 years ago

    Now I'm still figuring out how to do 90 degrees or more cobra without my code glitch out and flip my plane. So... stay tune!!!

  • SU-35S FLANKER-E *with cockpit moves* 5.0 years ago

    @VANT
    I suggest using weak spring attach to pilot's view camera or even a really small cockpit block will simulate g-force on pilot better. The plane is nicely done btw.

  • Instant Cobra Maneuver MiG-29 5.1 years ago

    @ElectricVehicle Can I make one of your do cobra?

  • Instant Cobra Maneuver MiG-29 5.1 years ago

    @ChrisPy 60 degrees is intentional because when pitch angle is above 90 the code just weird out and I just can't figured out yet lol, and it is to prevent my dump ai to flip my plane. So I just make it hold sort of cobra rather than do a single proper cobra and return to level flight. The cobra you mentioned not require thrust vectoring at all, just aerodynamic is enough, the plane just pitch hard overcoming static stability in the process and then static stability kicks in and pull the nose down to level flight. And yes MiG-29 irl can't do supermanuver, cobra just really push it limit it can barely do it.

  • Tiny plane challenge 5.1 years ago

    Does jet engine allowed? The rules said that no modifying prop engine only. Anyways my entry is a stock jet engine.

  • Ampere VXT-Q Dhampir 5.1 years ago

    @ZeroErrorzKeep in mind that funky tree is basically an equation which ultimately produce some number not complex decision making code.
    Here is some useful links, there are even a video for it.

    https://www.simpleplanes.com/Forums/View/1042680/Funky-Trees
    https://www.simpleplanes.com/Forums/View/1043330/New-Input-System-Explanation-Tutorial-Funky-Trees-1-9-Beta

    About your mech, your flight control is basically quad copter/jet which is nice because it has only 4 moving part and you got a pretty good idea how that work, just 4 almost identical funky tree equation and a lot of trial and error is all you need. Or just download some fly-by-funky-tree plane and start dissecting it. Good luck!!!

  • Ampere VXT-Q Dhampir 5.1 years ago

    @ZeroErrorz Keep in mind that funky tree code have to be tailor made for every rotator or controlsurface. So just copying mine won't work unless the control layout is somewhat simmilar. You have to evaluate the controls what each control surface do to the plane and only after that funky tree will be useful. Funky tree just tell how much a rotator or control surface have to move base on various flight data. When your plane is not wobbly it will be less random movement so justa simple gyro will be enough.

  • Ampere VXT-Q Dhampir 5.1 years ago

    @ZeroErrorz This can fly easier if it not so wobbly, replace spring in the legs and torso for stiffer part and this should fly way better. Funky tree is all about correction of flight and convenient , it will offer little to no help with this plane in this state.

  • Instant Cobra Manuver!!! 5.1 years ago

    @Mynamebob Yes, go wild with it!!!! But be careful about center of mass because it can interfere with performance.

  • Macross prototype 5.1 years ago

    @ZeroErrorz Maybe it just coincidence idk but there always transforming mech once in a while. And why this is so stable? It's funky-tree code, check the code in rotator parts if you into this kind of stuff.
    @BuiltBionixInd10 Can you make it walk? lol just saying.

  • Macross prototype 5.1 years ago

    @lilgreen06 lol u right.

    @OrangeCrush It just a VTOL inspire by this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAD7xT4PvMQ

    @ZeroErrorz I'll check it out

  • vector thrust6 big engine ex9 instant cobra 5.1 years ago

    @Beyjuan
    Please tell me what is "new modifiers" mean.
    Is it all about the code?
    I'm just curious lol.

  • Unstable but stable 5.1 years ago

    @BuiltBionixInd10 @JolyLoly @WIZARD2017 Thanks!!

    @11qazxc Aoa is limited by the funky tree code in the canards (I can't remember exact number :p) ,any higher aoa will risk stalling out or flipping the plane out of control.
    I just limit it's aoa at low speed so it don't stall out in a hard turn.
    Cutting wings does help in higher aoa in a way but the main factor are elevator's power which is more than enough but funky tree won't allow it.

  • Unstable but stable 5.1 years ago

    @Epickitty
    May be it's super bright afterburner, the way it fly with such high angle of attack, the control surfaces trying to keep it from flipping, man.....those eye-candy lol

  • Instant Cobra Maneuver F/A-52 ARES 5.2 years ago

    @Pietro
    Thank you very much, I'm so happy you enjoy my upgrade!!!
    As I mentioned before, the ARES is the one that open a whole new way for me to play the game and it inspire me to do this ;D

    This Instant Cobra took me about three weeks to complete, quite a long time isn't it.(20%proof of concept,10%implementation,70%bug fixing and fine tuning)
    Being a computer nerd myself do help about the coding part though :P

    I'll be waiting for a new ARES, keep up the good work!!!

  • Instant Cobra Maneuver F/A-52 ARES 5.2 years ago

    @CookieCrumz Sure, I'll be waiting for it.

  • Instant Cobra Manuver!!! 5.2 years ago

    @AzureCorp @Hellosss38 Thanks a lot. Have fun!!!

  • not Wasp 5.2 years ago

    @TheReturningHound idk how it not auto credited to be honest, maybe I just mod it a lot the system can't recognize it. About "fly by wire", I just play around with funky tree input and add some stablization to the plane because this plane alone is somewhat unstable.
