    That hidden stabilizer wouldn't count as truly tailless for me lol.
    The wings will flip up at only extreme speed I think, there will sort of act like wing but vertical instead of rudder by the look of it, because they still more or less at the front so I don't think it'll provide much yaw stability, it'll provide turning hard without roll first.

    @SkyJayTheFirst
    Yea, tvc is a no no.
    The wings and canards angle seems to providing yaw stability but actually opposite, it'll act like small vertical stabilizer but in the front. (should I say vertical de-stabilizer instead lol)
    I did mention the B-2 style system but since there are no such airbrake or spoiler in the wings as far as I know, this option will be low on the list.
    Maybe I could jam the brake somewhere in the wing like Ho-229 since split-brake will not be a good design for wing that can flip.

    Oh, and about flight model.
    Any suggestion about yaw stability?

    lol
    Come to think about cockpit, it may not be built by using an in-game cockpit part as a base which is more challenging.

    @SkyJayTheFirst
    For now, what was in my mind is how to get some yaw stability for such a design.
    I'm thinking of using drag from one side of wing and counteract the rolling motion with canards and tail to achieve yaw stability since there are no wing spoilers present as far as I know.
    Doing ramjet is easy, I've equation for Mach value ready to go.
    Surely it'd take time, or might not be posted at all lol.
    You know me, I'd never build things half-a$$ed unless it's a test/proof of concept build.

    @SkyJayTheFirst
    I said I know very little about it.
    I only know that it's wings can fold to a high degrees and it can switch between normal jet and ramjet engine.
    But in the mean time I watch some video about it and still doesn't fully understand it.
    And that make me wonder if I have to make the flight model from the ground up, not just any flight model but the model that utilize all of the wing folding and many other mechanics.
    If the wings has that high degree of freedom, I'd want it to move like canards and tail of this build at the bare minimum
    Trying to make sense of fictional plane is what I'm talking about and it is also very hard, you know?

    @MrCOPTY
    This video show a very basic stuff, PID is some kind of advance stuff but it'll take the basic code of this video.
    PID can surely put the plane to 0 pitch rate if you make it do that.

    That's a lot of code.
    Mad respect for MisterT and anyone involved.
    My plane change flight parameters rapidly so this is out of the window for me.

  • I made AI pilot eject 6 months ago

    @ollielebananiaCFSP
    So you have that ai bomber?
    I mean, did MisterT gave you the plane privately?
    I've only seen the video but in my opinion it's manual eject or it have something to do with glass breaking which will result in custom landing gear go crazy.
    Of which I don't think we share the same mechanism because mine involved losing parts.

    idk.
    The layout of 2 engines and 2 smaller thrusters I used is copied from an F-35.

    That make a lot more sense now.
    It's lucky that you didn't take Plaxovid for much longer.
    My andrographis is herbal pills, I don't recommend it since it may act difference, I took it because they reserved the medicine for only Covid positive patients.

  • [RD G4] F-15SG Strike Eagle 6 months ago

    @Applecrumble
    I think I know why HMD is janky.
    You don't need to rotate the camera because it's already rotated by panning.
    You just need to rotate the label.

  • Su-57 6 months ago

    @ToeTips
    Yea.
    2 powerful engines, one front and one at the tail pipe, when it moves, it's really compensating for unwanted movement.
    Also, 2 more in the wings to correct the roll movement.

  • F-35B 'Lightning II' 6 months ago

    @Applecrumble
    I think you need to set the mass of the display to 0.
    I don't know much, my HMD was a little wobbly as well but it's not much because it is slow.

  • T-113 Helios (thrust vectoring + supermanovrability capable) 6 months ago

    @Zaineman
    Good to hear that you are in good hands.
    If I were you, the doctor would have killed me because I've had many (unnecessary) close call of contacting Covid, after every close call, I took andrographis pills to prevent the virus, took some test from 2 difference brands of Covid self test kits and came out negative.
    It work for me lol.
    But idk if it'll work for anyone else.
    Also, I've never herd anyone treat Covid with steroids, that's new to me.

  • Su-57 6 months ago

    @ToeTips
    Actually I did not, I guess I've only put it only in guided bombs.

  • T-113 Helios (thrust vectoring + supermanovrability capable) 7 months ago

    @Zaineman
    lol
    I guess you fly your own builds in tablet only.
    Also, from what I've heard, Covid attack lungs, if you having even a slight breathing trouble just see the doctor.
    Take it with a grain of salt though, I've never had Covid before (or had it but didn't noticed) lol.

  • Su-57 7 months ago

    @ToeTips
    That's a lot lol.
    But here goes.
    .
    .
    .
    Do the shape of wings truly make any difference?

    Fortunately, no.

    Does effecting the Scale of wings affect it? Cause the CoL was shifting

    I guess it isn't, there are many build with super small scaled wing and it fly fine, I think CoL shift because the position shift because of scaling.

    I see you didnt add wing parts to the trailing flaps of the F-22, i guess due to how lift works in the game?

    They are actually fake flaps, the real thing is control surfaces in the wings part, my F-35 actually had wings piece in it's flaps though.

    I guess realistic wing loading makes a craft more realistic in the game? Cause that is what i did for my latest build, although i can now make something even more realistic due to studying your Felon.

    Realistic wing loading is a big part of being realistic. It can make you feel the difference between glider, fighter, bomber and flying brick.

    Fuselage
    Where is the most ideal place to keep and remove drag?

    I remove all drag at first, then add drag for big piece of fuselage. Like main body and wings. I also use airbrake piece with Funky Tree to simulate high AoA drag.

    Rotors
    I just discovered the xml value damper multiplier by studing your nozzle inorder to make one for a build (it fully works and it moves like yours, although it is a bit off center in STOL mode). And also different builds have different levels of damper. Is this because of the strict PID controller?

    I use damper for it to move like an actual hydraulic but sometime it make the rotator too slow to react and make PID useless so I have to decrease damper as needed.

    FT
    Can you give a simple PID controller? Like just a bug standard controller, i would better understand it.

    Guess this help.

    I used to have more but i had them answered by studying you lol, i feel like i would have more though.

    Good luck.

    @Zaineman
    The HUD is actually close to the face but that's not a problem in 2D screen.
    I guess I can't fool the VR player with depth perception lol.
    I don't actually know how to mimic HUD for VR in this game, it's entirely difference from 2D screen.
    So.. "Default" option is actually "do nothing" for those button?
    That's new info for me, thanks again for your feedback.
    Also I hope you are free from the virus soon.

  • F-35B 'Lightning II' 7 months ago

    Feedback 3 : 30% fuel is oversimplified things don't you think? There will be
    more combinations of payload and fuel that don't exceeded the weight limit.
    But my plane is also oversimplified in a way, I match the thrust of the engine to the source and load the plane until it can't fly lol. (I skip safety for fun factor)
    That result in it having 3000 kg fuel and about 1300 kg weapons.

    Feedback 4 : I did exactly that, using cockpit altitude from ground, it just not fast enough I guess.
    If you keep pulling up while takeoff, those elevator won't deflect down as much and can be unnoticeable.
    Also, there is a super tight margin to calibrate the altitude to deflect those elevator down so this is as close as I can do it.

    Now I can reproduce it consistently, I guess it's some hole in the code I completely missed because the situation is super specific.

    I just leave it default right off the part menu.
    So... guess I'd need to do that base on your setting.

    Thanks, I just want to know how VR player will feel like, just some general thought.
    I don't have VR so I'd never know how VR player think while flying.
