@TriggerMiku Looking up what that means, that seems exceedingly unhelpful at actually seeing small/distant things - the whole point of high resolutions.
@WaterFlavouredSpitfires Most definitely not. If the main version isn't ready there's no way the secondary port won't be pushed back accordingly.
@StockPlanesRemastered 3000 meaning... what exactly?
@TriggerMiku Frame generation is one of the biggest wastes of processing power the tech industry has turned out in a long time.
Congratulations, you're spending electricity on hallucinations.
SP1's tutorials are horrifically outdated. They tell you next to nothing except how to place a block, how to nose up an airplane, and what a gun is.
If I'm remembering right, they do not even explain what an airfoil is or why it matters, to say nothing of XML or FunkyTrees (which is simply unacceptable when new Pigpen is functionally dark magic with all the programming it uses). And no, the current online FT "tutorial" is nowhere near good enough; it is an index with definitions, it does not explain how to use it or give/explain examples of use. Once again, see Pigpen - all those numbers, no explanation of how they work or why each element and factor is important to its function.
So, will SP2 get new tutorials? It certainly needs them.
I have a question:
Will SP2 sync with steam?
I've been saved twice now by SP1 storing craft in the cloud when my computer has broken. Will SP2 be the same?
I ask because I've had it seemingly not use cloud storage in the past, rather keeping things on the computer itself.
@Randomplayer Exactly as I suspected.
@Boeing727200F What did you expect? The devs aren’t stupid, especially when everyone is loudly announcing their intention to try to escape.
@Ashdenpaw1 You seem to have a terminal tendency to mistake portable toilets for high-security facilities.
Don’t drink the Gatorade; it’s not Gatorade.
This game is a bloody curse.
Make a plane.
All goes well.
Problem.
Fix problem.
Bigger problem.
Bigger problem requires FT to fix.
There's no resource for how to actually use FT; stock VR craft are basically black magic.
Have to abandon project.
Rinse and repeat.
@OverlordPrime Evidently not.
And "use FT" is, essentially, saying "just fix it". Not very helpful, especially when doing much with FT requires you to be half engineer, half programmer, of which I am neither.
@Boeing727200F I'd suggest visiting a Graingy outpost. There should be a minor office by Bandit. See if they can get you an appointment at an outpost. From there you might be able to meet with an MS unit. From there, I can't help you.
They'll probably want to know why. And I don't think "terrorism" is a good reason in their eyes.
@Boeing727200F As far as I can tell, the Tumour is technically it's own multiversal system, albeit a small one. If you failed to penetrate then you were firing at them.
They're not dumb.
@Boeing727200F That must've been your neighbour.
If you seriously tried firing into Earth-1...
Well, firstly whatever tech you used would've been insufficient. Whatever return fire you could earn would be to laugh at you, like throwing fire crackers at a caveman.
Secondly, Soian fire is not so often physical shells. It's mostly energy-based weaponry. This can have results looking anything like kinetic impacts, to explosions, to timed explosions, to penetrating fire, to things that attack fields (i.e. a part of reality) aside from the physical you're used to. That's probably the most important sort in Superpower warfare; the explosions from a Soian dreadnought and a Placorarcoran (hoping I spelled that right) vessel engaging in battle look rather small, but contain enough energy to flatten countless universes over.
@Boeing727200F Don't know them, then.
Whatever the case, the Soians simply cannot be surpassed. They rank an absolute #1 in the existential hierarchy, to the point that they have to intentionally do things badly to keep life interesting. This has lead to problems for others, as could be expected.
There's no way around this, I'm afraid.
@Boeing727200F You mean The Bob or a Bob? The Bob is a good guy and wouldn't betray Soia. I... don't know where he came from, but he has the sense to not make enemies of the Soians. Besides, that's out of his league...
@Boeing727200F Think of it this way:
"Can I fire into the most protected airspace in existence?"
Answer: No, you're shooting into a fortress and your rounds will get intercepted.
That's to say nothing of the fact that you most definitely do not have sufficient technology for Greater Multiverse travel. This isn't local stuff, this is the big leagues.
Most "Multiverses" are akin to walking into the next room. Greater Multiverse travel is like trying to explore beyond the observable universe - and even that undersells it. It's a completely different category.
You'll need to ask Soia, though I'm sure they'll refuse.
@Boeing727200F I've never heard of such a calibre...
In any case, he's probably on Earth-1. You'd be lucky to get there at all; forget about bringing weaponry.
@TriggerMiku Looking up what that means, that seems exceedingly unhelpful at actually seeing small/distant things - the whole point of high resolutions.

a
@LunarEclipseSP I'm an idiot and tagged myself.
+1See comment below.
@Graingy So, uh, who's Cheerio?
Where's the rest of the teaser?
@ToroInoue Wouldn't it still be on your Gravatar?
@Bugati87 What did that mean?
Something I just remembered:
SP1's tutorials are horrifically outdated. They tell you next to nothing except how to place a block, how to nose up an airplane, and what a gun is.

+10@Bugati87 pardon?
Oh
As SupremeDorian said, the site is the same.
The difference will be the small audience for SP2 craft, and the near complete obsolescence of SP1 craft.
I have a question:
+4Will SP2 sync with steam?

THINGNGNGNGN!!!!
@Randomplayer Exactly as I suspected.
+2@Boeing727200F What did you expect? The devs aren’t stupid, especially when everyone is loudly announcing their intention to try to escape.
@TheMouse don’t we all…
+1It will be rather troublesome to have to entirely relearn how wings work in SP2. VERY different physics model.
@Ashdenpaw1 actually I’m rather steady
@FomahaultCoredemshau This is nothing new
@Ashdenpaw1 You seem to have a terminal tendency to mistake portable toilets for high-security facilities.
Don’t drink the Gatorade; it’s not Gatorade.
@MonsNotTheMonster But still nobody seems to know why it’s an asymmetrical effect…

@OverlordPrime It's a rather conventional design, and this problem is very general.
It's very, very noticeable in New Pigpen.
@OverlordPrime Evidently not.
And "use FT" is, essentially, saying "just fix it". Not very helpful, especially when doing much with FT requires you to be half engineer, half programmer, of which I am neither.
@Rb2h I'm sorry but praising the X-32 as anything other than a circus freak is a crime punishable by being fed to piranhas.
+1@TheMouse Didn't expect to find you here.
@YarisSedan Depends how you define "kid" tbh.
+1@pobondo ... It's pirated on github?
@Convex I swear the word "gaslight" has lost all meaning.
Lying. The word you're looking for is lying.
@YarisSedan The joke was it was an actual tag, rather than a parody of the name.
Thus I gave it a normal-sounding reply.
@YarisSedan Ah, children on the internet.
+1@YarisSedan ?

@pobondo Point.
tbh there's probably a way. Might need a special app though.
@KorKaiorWhatever Refer to the smug smiley face
@Convex
@Boeing727200F That wasn't me!
@Boeing727200F The wise choice. You may get return fire just to fuck with you.
@Boeing727200F Don't know them, then.

@Boeing727200F Beg Soia for passage, basically. It is not easy.
@Boeing727200F That's the least concern.
toe
@rexzion That would explain things.
Toe.
@Boeing727200F I've never heard of such a calibre...
In any case, he's probably on Earth-1. You'd be lucky to get there at all; forget about bringing weaponry.
@Boeing727200F Its biggest issue is its durability - it's rather fragile. Work that out and you're golden.
