@TheRLAF If people were willing to give up SP's features that easily they'd just play Juno.
Clearly, people want SP.
A major pain in the ass during the demo was that large planes just didn't work; they'd run out of space instantly.
Large planes need space to work as intended.
@TheRLAF I have no idea.
There's a public music playlist on the Graingy YouTube channel. Some of it is stuff I listen to regularly, some of it is things I heard once and thought "yeah, that's a bop" and added. It's entirely unorganized too; it's in order of when they were added (except for one accidental dragging something out of position a while ago I believe).
@TheRLAF Seeing as the game now has highways and rails (though yet to be seen if they'll be player-usable), having long distance flights is practically an obligation.
Getting railways before a major part of aviation (still the focus of the game) would be utterly ridiculous.
I suppose it can be argued that since SP islands would be a bonus, not a main feature, that probably wouldn't be the implementation (which is to say, it should not be used as a means to include any new area of gameplay), but it would be nice as an extra destination.
To put another way, if SP2 had no racetracks (again, hypothetically), adding Sky Park and using it to say "there, there's racetracks now" would be improper. Instead they'd be bonuses over SP2-exclusive content - strictly bonuses.
@GabrielFangster70 Really hope it doesn't,
The fact that Juno: New Origins is a terrible name aside (it's generic and seemingly meaningless), it made sense there since, firstly, J:NO was a completely different game than SimpleRockets. It was the second space sim by Jundroo, but past that? Totally different breed, hardly a true sequel.
SP2 is very much of the same sort as SP, just newer and improved. Hell, it literally has backwards compatibility with craft.
I also imagine that SR probably didn't have the largest community to begin with, whereas SP does (relatively speaking). There's more of a reason to have series continuity in SP's case, while J:NO better suited a reset after Jundroo became larger and more people played their games.
@TheRLAF Considering I haven't even listened to Sabaton's entire work, I'll pass.
I'm extremely unadventurous with my listening habits. When I listen to a new song it's usually by accident. Almost always by accident, in fact.
@LunarEclipseSP I have no idea.
They suck.
It's incredibly, incredibly easy to find rule-breaking drawings, but they just... ignore it all?
Absolutely ridiculous.
@TheRLAF Why bother remaking?
The islands are too unrealistic to fit in with the others. No point in bothering, just throw them in as a throwback with next to no development costs. The more it'd cost them, the less likely they'd do it.
@TheRLAF It's as large as I want it to be.
It's the ideal body, one not constrained by notions of constraints, not limited by limits, not restricted by restrictions; it is only the ideal.
@OverlordPrime I dunno, it just feels... I want to say chaotic (in the messy sense). Like, it's a cool pattern, it just hasn't been applied right. I wonder if it'd look better if it were on the fuselage, radiating from the black "spine"? Maybe a black leading edge on the wing to keep the wing from being bare? Idk.
@TheRLAF And? SP1 craft will still work. There'll still be blocks in the game.
It's literally just more content. There's no downside to putting the old islands 750km out west (except a small increase in file size, but come on, that's nothing). Frankly it'd be nice to have some actually long range destinations rather than just endless ocean.
SP2 is supposed to be an improvement. SP1 is extremely old and should be able to be left behind - but that doesn't mean its assets are no longer valuable. Just secondary.
There are new accounts constantly. And keep in mind, this is SP1. If SP2 is a success then that'd be a major shakeup. There would be many more people coming in.
@AVWL Let me put it this way:
So many times on other sites, particularly Reddit, community moderators will become more and more lax on no-NSFW rules. Eventually the community becomes more and more NSFW from people pushing the envelope (and thus attracting more of that sort of people) until eventually speaking against NSFW content gets you dogpiled.
This site doesn't have that issue. The rules are enforced, so this slip doesn't occur.
@AVWL Unless I can find out why Steam did that, then for the foreseeable future yes.
The game, of course. If I leave the site then I've either been banned or I'm dead. The former would very probably lead to the latter.
@AVWL Don't download because I'm not interested.
Can't play because Steam is unstable and I can't trust it to not wipe everything I've made again. Didn't even give me a prompt to misclick, it just... deleted all the files.
@TheRLAF The larger something gets without a change in proportion, the faster its mass grows relative to its surface area. That means that ground pressure increases as well, since the area touching the ground increases slower than the mass. Accordingly, at sufficient size, a body will start to damage things just by standing on them.
@TheRLAF What the fuck is that thumbnail
@TheRLAF You mean SP1 islands or new islands?
Wait it's already coming out?

@TheRLAF A dragon hoard-esque collection of music?

SP being pure islands has always been a weakness of its.
Past that it's just an endless void of ocean until you run out of fuel or hit integer limits.
@TheRLAF But where's the fun in that? Why not give the option to fly across the ocean to the old lands?
@LunarEclipseSP Except 2B2T is supposed to be like that. It's the whole point of the server.
+1This is just moderators not doing their job.
@TheRLAF Considering I haven't even listened to Sabaton's entire work, I'll pass.

@TheRLAF You fear what you cannot understand.
@OverlordPrime Stripes have more form, though.
+1Don't get me wrong, I like what you've started, but as-is it just really isn't working.
@LunarEclipseSP I have no idea.

@TheRLAF Not a metal fan.
I give Sabaton a pass because it's military related, but that's kinda key for me.

@TheRLAF No.
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 The Z has very much became an official symbol. This is not in dispute.

Ah, inner peace.

@Bigolfishboy ... I think we need to bury you in a brick wall.

@TheRLAF And SMG4 has over 7 billion. SMG4.
Your point?
@TheRLAF You have no idea how large this thing is supposed to be

@Mrcooldude Thank you.
Ahem
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
@Mrcooldude Siren impression
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
@AVWL Because the important rules are enforced.
Aren't you supposed to be unfucking your grades, or...?

A doctor, eh?
What field did they get their PhD in?
They are a man are dignity and fuselage
+1F
@OverlordPrime I wouldn't have seen it if you hadn't pointed it out.
Neat pattern. Idk if it really fits the craft as it's implemented but the execution looks excellent.
+1Evil and Intimidating SimplePlanes Logo Jpeg.

+2@TheRLAF Why not?
They already exist and are familiar. No reason not to include them.

@TheRLAF Most people probably do not.
