No. I have a reasonably new iPhone6. A model with almost 400 parts is a heck of a lot of polys. Especially if a fair few of them are fluff that are not adding anything to the model. Its just inefficient.@danman12
Dingdingding!@ChiChiWerx I almost wrote something about how AG3 and AG4 were out of action due to Morg's brains making the buttons stick, but I quickly realised that it would have been in pretty poor taste...
Cool, thanks! She was completely neutral at one point of the build, flew straight and level without trim. Im not sure what I did to bugger that up. Very welcome fix, that. @sheepsblood
So was it as much fun as you could possibly have in a flight suit? @Alien Also, you are now my hero. I would love to hear some of your WIWOL stories one time?
Cool. Air crew or ground crew? Ive read enough about the Lightning to know that it wasnt exactly a shining example of "easy serviceability". But flying her was as much fun as you could possibly have in your flight suit. @Alien
You know, you could drop the part count drastically and make this more user friendly to those of us without super computers by removing the 10,000 stores points?
Other than that this is a lovely model. Nicely done.
I really couldnt say what causes the roll issue. But I think as Tang0five says; mirroring might be the issue? As for other advice? Jeez - since this Lightning surpases my own attempt by quite some way, I should be asking you for building tips!@Alien
This is really very good. You really seem to have an eye for the details, whilst not going overboard on the part count. You have the dimesions and shape pretty much spot on too. I really like this, in case you couldnt tell.
But - she has a tendency to roll right when you pull the nose up. To the left on nose down. Just a small niggle but a niggle none the less.
Otherwise, this is completely and utterly top drawer.
Please, dont misunderstand - it is a very good model. But you also stuck under wing stores points on there. Im pretty sure that they didnt come until the mk. IX. But otherwise a very cool model. @Datom
Is there another way to do "smooth" wings? I cant think of a way to lay fuselage blocks over the wing without having the control surfaces pop through. Doesnt really bother me, but I can see how others could might not like it?
The pitch is fine for me. If you yank on the stick then she will shake and rattle. I guess if you fly with a keyboard this might be the case? If youre smooth on the controls she flies fairly well (for me). She is by no means a fighter, either. So changes in attitude and direction take a while... FYI Im doing this on an iPhone6.
@gareth1234 Mr Pie was asking Mr Garrison (fine gent that he is) to make this one of the four featured thingies at the top of the SimplePlanes home page. I like this idea. But then again I am biased...
I know, right? @Tang0five The Yanks are also now finding that the 6000 operating hour limit on their AV-8B Harrier II + airframes is actually bloody conservative and they could potentially do 10,000+...The MOD actually scrapped perfectly good aeroplanes that could even have been sold to the USMC for bits... Or, you know, could have been kept in service? Eejits.
BTW, I think it fits nicely with the BAe Whirlwind ADVANCE (https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/201LMK/BAE-Whirlwind-ADVANCE) I built a while back, dont you?
Im not totally sure how multi player works either, but that would be great fun. Although... Scooter vs Shar... Your flight plan would look like;
1. Take off
2. Gear up
3. Explode...
That said, youre an actual pilot and Im just some guy... might be a fun fight?@ChiChiWerx
@ChiChiWerx Ive been working with a download called the "XML cheat bench". It is a collection of parts that you cant get without mods, weightless parts, no clip parts and very very small bits etc. But 1.7 on iOS is going to rock, no doubt.
Because the Yanks and their marvelous F-35 was going to save the universe, apparently. Thanks, btw ;-) @Tang0five
No offence to our trans atlantic chums, I would hasten to add. You guys gave us Gene Simmonds, Alice Cooper, Springstein and Ice Cube, so youre ok with me.

Ok! At 24 upvotes this is my most liked build yet! Many thanks to all.

Splendid. I'll have the house boy set out the fine crystal. @Tang0five
Very nice.
If we keep this up old boy Im going to have to ask my man to fetch my top hat and monicle. @Tang0five
My next kite will have roundels, a fin flash and possibly a propeller.

Crikey! That was quick! I havet even put the description up yet!! Thanks. @CRJ900Pilot

Bitte schoen. Kein problem. @Datom
I, sir, am neither. But it was nice of you say... @Tang0five
Wizard kite, old boy. Bloody well done.
Yay! Asymmetric folding wings for all! @Tang0five
Please, dont misunderstand - it is a very good model. But you also stuck under wing stores points on there. Im pretty sure that they didnt come until the mk. IX. But otherwise a very cool model. @Datom
Das ist wunderbar.
Nice. Its not a Spitfire Mk.1a, but it is nice
Very nice.
Thanks for the feedback! @EternalDarkness
@Sgtk
@EternalDarkness
Many thanks, gents. The user manual will be up shortly.
Rather! With two and a coo, as the jocks say. @Tang0five
Agreed. @Tang0five
@Liquidfox
Many thanks.
@Tang0five Pip Pip, old chap!
Best F-35b on the site. Very nice.
I really like that custom nose gear. Good job.
Many thanks to all who upvoted! I know she isnt perfect, but I hope she fun to fly?
Has anyone managed a vertical deck landing yet?
Ah. The good ship Planet Express Ship. Beautiful and Deadly.
Just like her captain.
She'll come crawling back to me like a bird on her belly. Mmmmm. Delicious.
Oh god I miss being a student with the time to sit and watch Futurama all day long... great job!
I like it. But the Kim head isnt nearly jowely enough. It needs bigger jowels. Like an obese Basset Hound, only jowelier.
Awesome stuff. Congrats on making gold, too. Many happy returns, so on and so forth.
Very nice.
No particular reason. It just felt right there and then. @ForeverPie
Very nice model of an under represented type. Top drawer, old boy, top drawer.
@Tang0five Youre welcome. I think it might be the best thing you've done so far.
Christ on a bike that is bloody lovely.

You know that kids respond well to bright colours, right?

Thanks. I went for wow effect rather than realism there... @rubenisapilot
Running all the way... ;-)@Tang0five
Just realised that I never upvoted this. It is very, very nice.

I know! Sea Harrier FRS.1 next!! @ChiChiWerx
Featured? Featured! Im very happy you all like this - it took a wee while to build & keep mobile friendly.
Thanks to all!
Hope you all like the GR.7 as much... ;-)
+1Because the Yanks and their marvelous F-35 was going to save the universe, apparently. Thanks, btw ;-) @Tang0five
