@blackvultureaeroespace those were warships, meant for combat. This is patrol vessel, designed to chase smugglers, combatants (on small boats), pirates, and other sea criminals. It has to be light in order to have better speed and fuel efficiency, and doesn't need armour of a battleship.
This is a first in a line of updates to come. I have an information (unsure, but probable) that 1.7 is coming in less than two months, with more parts and features, and that 1.8 is already being planned.
@Fjorge almost. Give a bit of sweep to tail fin. 10th Scimitar will be a nice plane, probably. Next suggestion, move the winhs down to the bottom of the fuselage, like on Pilatus Pc-9
VLS = Vertical Launch System. Just make a fuselage with smooth corners, attach an upward-pointing Interceptor missile to it, place it on the deck, and nudge around and mirror. Make sure you nudge the block and the missile together. After that, multi-select all missiles, and nudge them under the blocks, so that the tip of the missile is in a fuselage block use for the lid of the barrel.
@exosuit incorrect. When a high-ranking user makes something great, it's normal. Some upvote, some don't. When a low-ranking user makes something great, it's a sensation. Everybody spotlights it, it appears on everybody's jetstream a million times, and gets tonnes of upvotes. The trick is, it must be a great build.
@BirdOfSteel points don't matter. We added some silver users back when we could find good ones. Although, we like to see that users we are adding have experience, no less than three months, and most of the guys we add are already near platinum after three months of having an account.
I agree with your point that they should be permabanned outright, forcing them to keep their word. It's usually low-quality builders anyway, those who want upvotes for almost no effort. "Why does nobody upvote my ten-part potato plane that can't fly?!"...
@Fjorge go and read everything about planes. Aerodynamics, history of aviation, technical stuff, all you can get. Also, look at planes until you have a good sense of proportion of planes. That's what I did.
@Awsomur a military plane doesn't quite fit on Bandit no matter what side of the Bandit you are on. It needs a hard runway, and maybe some facilities. Bandit is more for light aircraft.
@calred very nice. As for what to make next, possibilities are endless. If you are into space tech, you can make lunar rowers, rockets, satellites, etc. You can also make airplanes, ships, vehicles, weird contraptions, or anything you can think of.
Torpedo wasn't meant to be in 1.6 Beta. It's meant for 1.7, which will be mostly weapons update as far as I know. Gyroscope is a must have for VTOL, and spheres and hemispheres have aesthetic use, besides being a landing gear for drones.
@Stellarlabs the props have to be thick, like boat props. That requires XML editing (in game files or by using Overload mod). Since you are relatively new to the game, you can take some from my ships. The most recent ones don't use those props, so try older ones. Also, I never use them for actual propulsion. They are mostly for decoration. What I do is place a VTOL engine somewhere above the water, and place a VTOL nozzle rotated on its side, set to turn with Roll, somewhere near the bow or the stern.
@Redstreak45 sorry. I haven't meant to sound sour, but now that I read that comment, I did sound that way. Rotorcraft generally need gentle input, whilst using WASD gives the extreme (maximum) input in an instant. Yes, landing is a bit tricky, because I used stock rotors with throttle governor. That makes it nearly impossible to hover and make a gentle descent. To land, you'll need to practice a bit, and adjust throttle a lot. A bit less throttle to make it go down, then a bit more to make the fall slower. Then, before it starts going up, a bit less throttle, and so on. Also, due to skies digging in on landing, you have to keep the forward speed at almost zero. Better performance are achievable with custom rotors, with which I will be working in a future, after I finish a few quick projects that are meant to have stock rotor (small prop engine). Again, sorry for my previous response.
You don't have to get over it. Just please remove the "Announcement" tag, as this is not a SimplePlanes related announcement. Some users tend to get upset when they notice a post with a tag that shouldn't be there.
@ploptro7 I don't speak French (I guess), but if I understood well, thanks.
@Dllama4 thanks
@ChasingHorizon She sails the ocean. She has to have some mass down there.

@MajorL they fly out of the cannon when launched the normal way. Go to camera 1, aim the gun at something, and launch a few bombs.
@BogdanX XD
@Thepilot172 ok, I'll give you a version without the cockpit. Gimme a sec
@BogdanX lol
@Blue0Bull of course you can. I wasn't online

They should both be around twice the current size. Not to mention that I have a corvette that's almost the size of "destroyers" escorting USS Beast
@Fjorge yup. It's meant as a work environment. For uploads, use more realistic backgrounds
@DuckMintnewprofile nice picture. No problem
Upload the picture to Imgur, and post a link to it as [Text that will show]-(link), and remove "-"

@Fjorge cute is good. Tail is much better on this one. However, fuselage is a bit odd-shaped. The bottom should be a smooth line.
@Fjorge I don't mind. This is a good example of easy-to-build good looking plane
@Fjorge tail is still fat and too long. Other than that, it's a cute little plane
@Stellarlabs yes. Just give credit (mention in description that I made a torpedo).
@Dllama4 no problem
TORPEDO
@PilotOfFuture that's what happens when you scale the cockpit to be shorter.

@LBYSteven either one. I landed it, set VTOL to the middle, throttle down, and it kept spinning the rotor and going forward
@22zxSnakeEyes I did it with a custom rocket booster

It flies, but how do I make it stop? It behaves more like conventional airplane than a heli. Still, looks good.
It does 83 in a 45mph wind. I tried to make a sailboat with fuselage sails, forgetting that sails are not planks but airfoils. Good thinking.
+1I agree with your point that they should be permabanned outright, forcing them to keep their word. It's usually low-quality builders anyway, those who want upvotes for almost no effort. "Why does nobody upvote my ten-part potato plane that can't fly?!"...
The gun on the destroyer is pretty much identical to Wing Gun you have. You can pretty much make the destroyer in game.

Kinda cute. Why's the fuselage so fat in the rear tho? It should narrow down and be shorter
Finally something that's not a spaceship
First XD
+1@Redstreak45 I might stream sometime. I have thought about it.
@Awsomur also, Wright has nearby air-to-ground targets that are not in a canyon, si I can do quick tests of my weapons

I fly from Wright. I used to use Bandit, but it didn't fit most of my planes, intended to operate from military bases.
@Shinabuta they are programmed to be sitting ducks for target practice, like decommissioned tanks on real firing ranges.

@Dllama4 I know. Can't wait to see what the conversion will be
@Dllama4 let me see (tag me on it). If there's enough changes, it won't have to be a successor. I worked pretty damn hard on this one, you know
@Mymessage lol thanks :)
