@Awsomur there are some we don't have in our group, or are not active in it. TheAlban, WalrusAircraft, realluochen9999, Authros, people I took inspiration from, and who I consider best builders on the site. But yeah, we're pretty good.
SimplePlanes Masters signifies the fact that all members of our group are top quality builders, not that we are masters of the community. Furthermore, it has been stated many times already that we can't take into our group all great builders (masters outside SP Masters group), and why. We have also said what else, beside mastery of at least one technique, or one kind of builds (tank masters, WW2 fighter masters, SP Masters users who specialise in other things), you need to show to become a part of our group. If you can't be our friend, we don't need you among us. If you can't teach us anything, again, we don't really need you, but might add you if you are friendly. If you are not dedicated to this game, why would you even care to join us? Think before you talk.
@MrDoolittle are you even thinking about what you are attacking us with? Our name? The fact that the name sounds too big for you? You are humiliating yourself. You are running headfirst into a wall, hoping that something interesting will happen. I will not dignify your future comments with an answer, unless I find something generally worth addressing. You are repeating words such as "elitist", "self-centered", "masters", etc. You, my son, are missing a point by a mile, not even trying to understand our explanations. Do you think the rest of the community finds it funny? They do, in a way you find a puppy chasing its own tail funny. Do you think they will follow your lead? First you have to gain some credibility by actually succeeding. Do you think you'll achieve something by going against us? We only responded to you in order to enlighten you of the futileness of your effort. You can do nothing here, as there is nothing to be done.
@MrDoolittle nope. It's a tradition. My username caused controversy when I first used it on the site, when I reached Platinum, and eventually everyone learned to deal with it. It's the name of our group.
@Awsomur @Alienbeef0421 nobody was thinking about it when we came up with the name. We were just a group, and then we figured out we are only inviting the best users. So we made it a rule. Then someone jokingly said we are masters of SP (the game, not the users), and it stuck. What "Masters" part means is that we have mastered the game. Like Master's degree in your area of expertise. Not that we are better than you.
This boat looks very nice, buuuuuuuut...
Xml. It needs xml. A bit of simple xml magic. It took a minute and a half to edit the engine to get realistic speed and to edit the prop to work under water. You are on iOS device, I see. And you are also a good builder. I don't like seeing good builds like this spoiled by the lack of xml editing. When you need these little thingies done, just tag me on unlisted. I'll be happy to help make your build perfect by doing what little your device prevents you from doing yourself.
I have Yak-9T. Good against bombers, but has just a few rounds and takes decades to climb up to bombers. By the time I'm in position to hit bomber, Germany has capitulated. In a dogfight, if you hit something, it's dead. If you miss, you are out of ammo. At least it maneuvers well.
@Testin123 we make these posts because people are talking bad thing about us. Jealous people. We don't want the community to think that we are some kind of separated elite who secretly mock an average user. We are builders who like to hang out together and help each other, as well as to help average users become better. We make posts every now and then to remind people of that.
@Blue0Bull I can say that I personally like your builds. They might need a bit of refinement, using more parts to get a smoother shape and similar stuff, but you are on a road to perfection. Lovely work. What I don't like are tonnes upon tonnes of forum posts. Use chat groups for less important things. There are at least four on Discord, and one on Facebook. More builds and fewer forums, and I'll make sure to suggest you to Masters group. Just keep the quality up.
@MrDoolittle @CoolPeach guys, I think that was enough. Further conversation can only help conclude who has a thicker skull. All that was to be said has been said already.
@MrDoolittle pretty much. I usually take it upon myself to deter attacks on SP Masters group. It's a group I belong to. Despite Rohan being (probably) a founder, he's not a leader. We are such a good friends that we don't need one. We are all equal, from a freshly added user to the founders. Moderators, top10 users, early gold users, we are all equal. I love that, and I'll step in to defend it anytime.
@MrDoolittle I believe Ctracerx2 was one of the founders, but I'm not sure. It was long time ago. With some of the old users quitting the game, some trolls getting kicked during cleanups, it's all a bit obscure. I'll ask around if anyone knows. I joined around a year and a half ago, long after the group was made.
@MrDoolittle I don't "hold mods in my back pocket". We follow the rules, and they apply to us just like to everyone else. We are on good terms with moderators because their goals and our goals are pretty much the same. A friendly community.
@Jetpackturtle I don't think there's anything mods would find interesting, save for MrDoolittle's little censored insult. To respond to your previous comment, we don't think everyone who builds good planes is on SP Masters, and it's not our thing to decide who's good and who's not. We decide who's good in our personal opinion, whose builds we personally like. Also, we pick members we want to hang out with. We certainly won't add MrDoolittle, as we don't want such behaviour in our group. We are, after all, all friends playing this game. We want to keep it fun. As for the name, we are some of the masters. Some of the greatest builders on the site. Not all of the greatest builders.
@MrDoolittle oh, we sure do that a lot. On discord, on the site, whenever there's a need. It's not always me. That part also refers to moderators, most of whom are members. They keep the order on the site, defending everyone somebody attacks, and doing a great job. For many of our members, you don't know they are part of the group. Still they participate in keeping this place clean and friendly.
@MrDoolittle I didn't assume everyone loves me. What I said is that many people do, and also many love, as much as you can "love" a fellow user, BaconAircraft, Phanps, PhantomBladeCorp, Tully, ChaMikey, Cedy117, SimpleFlow, HellFireCoder, and many other very popular users. SimplePlanes Masters have currently 62 members, most of which are prominent members of this community. We are the people new members look up to, people who help others learn new tricks to advance their technique, people who are there for every respectful user to talk to,... Now, what do you do? Go around calling people names. It is your attitude that separates you from us. From most of the community, that is, not just from SimplePlanes Masters group.
@MrDoolittle what I meant is, we are helping users who are nice when we can. Don't be nice, and we won't help you, because then you are not a kind of person we support. Why would we help someone that makes this community toxic?
A group of replica builders on some Chinese chat app. As far as I now (information from my friend in TSAD), they are not exclusively for Chinese people. But some of them don't speak English, so they only take members who are fluent in Chinese and build great replicas.
General was victimising himself since when I first met him, almost two years ago. We had it with him, expelled him from what is now SimplePlanes Masters (was a regular chat before), and he quitted the game. A year later, he became active again, and started behaving better. Then, he started playing victim again. You say anything he doesn't like, and he goes "You hate me because I'm gay, furry...". It became his catchphrase. He accused TSAD for hating him without any reason, and got feedback on that. He was also kicked from a number of Discord servers for causing drama, and he left. At least he took his account with him this time.
You could have added landing gear, and put weapon bays to input Activate1. That way, when you activate group 1, weapon bays open. Other than that, it's a very nice build for your level. You'll get far in this community if you keep building like this.
@Z3RO thanks. They are placed like that to avoid the splash. Ekranoplans fly very low, just a few meters above the surface. Thus, engines mounted further back could experience splash if a part of the craft touches the surface. The engine placement was taken from Orion 20 ekranoplan.
Nice pictures. I myself live under one of the approaches to Belgrade airport, and close to Batajnica air base. I get to see both passenger planes and jet fighters every day. MiG-29, MiG-21, Soko G-4 and J-22 are the most common. Also transport helicopters Mi-17 and scout helicopters Soko Gazela, licence built Aerospatiale Gazelle. Passenger planes I often see include Bombardier-8, Boeing 737, Airbus A-340, and some other smaller liners.
Very cute and aerobatic. I would upvote if I haven't upvoted one almost identical. Also, I suggest establishing a fictional company and giving planes like this names. I often decide whether to upvote or not based on description, and I'm not alone on that.
@JetWondy no problem
Input = 1,0 or 0,-1

@DemonSniper8 I take my time to think up the answer. I don't rush it. Besides, I consider myself a conversationalist. I'm good at debates.
100:100. Give it all you got.

@randomusername by editing cord scale. That's blade width in XML.
Congratulations on 100k. Nice build.

@ShatSlanger read as "most of the most popular users", edited to have more impact. Point is the same.

@GermanWarMachine I have a few projects already. I'm also not quite good at tanks.
@DemonSniper8 thanks for support. We appreciate having friends and supporters in this community.
@TakicraftCorporation @Wakescar thanks for kind words, guys.
Nice, another group
Woah, spiky. Good job, it looks great.

@Blue0Bull here's one of the Discord groups. I visit that one every now and then.

@MrDoolittle I didn't make SP MAsters. The group is here for almost as long as the game itself.

@CoolPeach thanks for spotting it. I was in a bit of a hurry to get this post up, and didn't proofread properly.
@phanps thank you.
Excellent work, as always
@Awsomur no problem
@Awsomur he was cautioned by Thelatentimage. He wasn't banned. He deleted account himself. Even if the user is permabanned, his account stays.
@Awsomur they are not too communicative. That's why people find it easy to point a finger at them. People like BaconEggs and General360.

@Thepilot172 nope. But if you follow instructions, you can get this thing to fly as if it was in ground effect. Simply, to fly very low.
