@Kav lardonia was imperialist in ww1 but was heavily against conventional imperialism as they thought it was morally wrong, hence making their own kind of imperialism of which they swear absolute loyalty to their allies and “lesser countries” to not conquer nor exploit them like varia did with the Avyron people, code-based imperialism is just taking large amounts of land for political power in countries that are a threatening enemy country, never an ally, and never a neutral country(meaning no conflict with them has been observed yet), during this timeline, some original lardonian people were protesting against the varian dictatorship during the period of between after ww1 and before ww2 as they were mad that their allies were being exploited, but lardonia was annexed by German empire, hence not being able to do much
