  • WW2 Fighter Challenge Results! 3.3 years ago

@LieutenantSOT haha okay. I was asking cause I felt iffy on those.

  • ALMOSTLIGHT CHALLENGE!!! 3.3 years ago

    Oh...there's a part limit now....guess I'll just start over...

  • WW2 Fighter Challenge Results! 3.3 years ago

Sweet thanks! Just out of curiousity was it the switch panel and the buttons that you didn't think were period correct in the cockpit?

  • Homemade Challenge : Build a DiY Airplane! 3.3 years ago

@Nightgems it's close enough on the size I'll take it. If you set the engine power to 100hp it qualifies. If you don't know how to change the engine power I put an explanation in the description. Awesome plane either way though it definitely has the look I was lookin for.

  • WW2 (Fictional) Fighter Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.3 years ago

I can't believe how many quality builds this challenge spawned. Well done!

  • F/A-18E Super Hornet "Maverick" 3.3 years ago

@ollielebananiaCFSP oh definitely. I'm just being pedantic.

  • F/A-18E Super Hornet "Maverick" 3.3 years ago

@ollielebananiaCFSP what if a plane doesn't need ailerons though?

  • Nissan Skyline 2000RS Turbo 3.4 years ago

@MintLynx yep that's pretty much what I like. My daily is an 87 Toyota tercel so there you go

  • Nissan Skyline 2000RS Turbo 3.4 years ago

I feel like you have very similar taste in cars to me. You keep making my favourite vehicles .

  • Winners of my engine challenge: 3.4 years ago

Thanks glad you liked it. I'm working on a 2.0 with higher detail. I know engine models like this are largely useless but I like making them.

  • WW2 (Fictional) Fighter Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.4 years ago

    @LieutenantSOT okay cool thanks!

  • [CLOSED] CHALLANGE use less than 10 parts on a planes 3.4 years ago

Wow thanks! There were some really cool entries.

  • WW2 (Fictional) Fighter Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.4 years ago

@LieutenantSOT https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/7a5Kh3/Bac-Powerjets-CS110-Chimera I appreciate you still taking it I will try and pay Bette attentive n to that in the future. Sorry about linking you at the last second I haven't had my phone for a couple days.

  • WW2 (Fictional) Fighter Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.4 years ago

@Bananek71 yeah I know I just didn't want to have to re paint it. Sorry btw wasn't trying to be a dick.

  • WW2 (Fictional) Fighter Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.4 years ago

@Bananek71 well duh I wasn't going to re make the whole plane.

  • WW2 (Fictional) Fighter Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.4 years ago

I uploaded my second entry but I completely forgot to use your download so it isn't a successor. Is there an easy way to fix that? If not I'll just re upload.

  • P-28 3.4 years ago

    Why is it painted gold?

  • Major Industries SBD7 Flamingo 3.4 years ago

@MajorSix no I just downloaded and went. Idk I think uploading can break stuff sometimes. Or maybe it's cause you used shocks which by the way is genius aesthetically but they like to do weird things when you scale them.

  • WW1 (Fictional) Warbird Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.4 years ago

Also does it have to be a biplane? There were a number of monoplane fighters in WW1.

  • ALMOSTLIGHT CHALLENGE!!! 3.4 years ago

@Chrisk1993 can I do a seaplane or does it have to take off from land?

  • WW1 (Fictional) Warbird Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.4 years ago

Man this community is coming up with too many good challenges. I've got 3 challenge builds in the works right now. Oh well make that 4 I'm in. I'll do a German medium fighter.

  • Major Industries SBD7 Flamingo 3.4 years ago

Pssst......I think you missed a connection or 2 in the general engine area. Cool though.

  • ALMOSTLIGHT CHALLENGE!!! 3.4 years ago

    Cool challenge I'll do it.

  • Russian Culture Challenge Entry 3.4 years ago

    @superTT yeah man, I agree

  • Cinema Plane 3.4 years ago

@ollielebananiaCFSP That makes me curious then, I assumed that the limitations with running simple planes was mostly in processing power rather than graphical power due to all the Aero calculations. Do you just have a good/optimised processor or am I grossly misunderstanding things? Or just underestimating what you can get to run?

  • Cinema Plane 3.4 years ago

@AWESOMENESS360 meh you'd be surprised what can run on a potato. Although I don't suspect that it would work so well with a 1000 part build.

  • Nakatomi Type 206 Float Fighter 3.4 years ago

@MajorSix I'm not sure actually the one I have saved is straight. Maybe I hit an undo before I shared it by accident or something.

  • Hoverboard Guy 3.4 years ago

Idk why I gave him a helmet he just explodes anyway.

  • Nakatomi Type 206 Float Fighter 3.4 years ago

@LieutenantSOT yeah the original one with the wheels is my actual entry. Its a little better than this one performance wise cause it doesn't have a 1000 lb pontoon hanging off the bottom.

  • Nakatomi Type 206 Float Fighter 3.4 years ago

@LieutenantSOT thanks a lot. Btw sorry I forgot this was still saved as a successor to your challenge. Don't mean to clutter up your list. Obviously this one isn't another entry haha.

  • Nissan 260z 3.4 years ago

Dude your cars are awesome. Im working my butt off trying to get better at car bodies and you're keeping me motivated here!

  • Nakatomi Type 206 "Teikiatsu" 3.4 years ago

@PapaKernels thanks i think it's my best plane yet

  • Nakatomi Type 206 "Teikiatsu" 3.4 years ago

@Lixcuudis thanks I'm glad someone read it. Thought it might be too wordy haha

  • Nakatomi Type 206 "Teikiatsu" 3.4 years ago

@Skyhawkarmy idk you just gotta mess around with the shapes until it looks the way you want. Use lots of pictures and reference material. There's not really any hard and fast rules or methods. That's what makes this game so awesome! Think of it like Lego. You have to figure out how to use the limited shapes you have to make the unique shapes you want

  • Nakatomi Type 206 "Teikiatsu" 3.4 years ago

@Skyhawkarmy I guess you don't have to but I wanted the points for the description.

  • Nakatomi Type 206 "Teikiatsu" 3.4 years ago

@Jaspy109 I'm not sure if that's a uniquely British design. If so oh well umm we will say that Japanese spies were stealing British aircraft secrets and they decided they liked that stick design.

  • WW2 (Fictional) Fighter Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.4 years ago

Woohoo my Japanese fighter is done! I'm really proud of it I think it turned out awesome.

  • WW2 (Fictional) Fighter Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.4 years ago

Yo put me down for a British Heavy Fighter as well I'm putting the finishing touches on my first entry so I should have time for another one.

  • WW2 (Fictional) Fighter Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.4 years ago

@LieutenantSOT My Japanese plane will be a prop fighter but if I finish early I will do a heavy fighter with mixed propulsion. Japanese planes just don't look right without a giant nose cowl.

  • Arwing Prototype 3.4 years ago

    Do a barrel roll

  • WW2 (Fictional) Fighter Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.4 years ago

@LieutenantSOT yeah I'm not doing a Zero copy just using it as a general guide for size. Thanks!

  • WW2 (Fictional) Fighter Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.4 years ago

Just to be clear on weights/ sizes, would you consider the Mitsubishi A6M Zero a medium or light fighter? That's what I'm using as a yardstick for the size and weight but I can scale it up if you think a Zero is too small.

  • WW2 (Fictional) Fighter Challenge! [CLOSED] 3.4 years ago

I think I need a good challenge right now. I'll do a Japanese medium fighter. Just double checking jets are fine as long as power and speed is realistic? If so it will be a jet.

Edit: Nevermind the jet thing it wouldn't be realistic since they never actually deployed a jet fighter.

  • 7 Part Helicopter 3.4 years ago

Oh nice well it's in my subassembly folder now. @Redisnotsusguys

  • 1 0 P A R T S 3.4 years ago

@Cyan is a Jake Paul noise just a really stupid statement?

  • 1 0 P A R T S 3.4 years ago

@Embo okay cool I thought it was thanks for clearing that up.

  • 7 Part Helicopter 3.4 years ago

How did you make the person a single part?

  • [CLOSED] CHALLANGE use less than 10 parts on a planes 3.4 years ago

Mines done. It's almost a plane.

  • 1 0 P A R T S 3.4 years ago

@Embo Yeah. You can't say it on YouTube.
