the A models last canon flight was in 1948 and was deemed "unsasifactory for flight" thanks to the mentioned Bombay.
the early B model was pulled from production early with the late model being last produced in 1954
C model was made canonly in 1955 and continued to be produced till 1967
@Unwanted the B-53A has long sense been out of production and phased out of service. it is the oldest models there is and it isn't even considered flightworthy anymore because it can blow itself up midflight thanks to its Bombay, a feature it and the B-53B (early) only have (including a variant of the A model that features a horribly placed nuclear weapon).

well it uses the same cockpit
similar body design compared to the B-53 (with wings not swept back)
it doesn't look like it can hit supersonic speeds like late B-53 models can. nor even transonic like the original airframe did.
also the B-53 is well preforming it is just mass produced, it flies like ass and the airframe is very old and outdated. heck the oldest models (canonly) are pushing 80 rn. the original airframe started out as a WW2 jet fighter turned into a "seaplane" for Christ's sake.
the only reason why the B-53 is still operating and being produced because is a jack of all trades for a bomber airframe. it just works it isn't pretty.
