Maybe that's why it comes off that way, because of its overall infamy, but that doesnt change that looks wise, it comes off that way
If everybody recognizes the A-10 cause big f*cking gun, then that turns it into a symbol, a symbol of friendly fire incidents and civilian casualties, sure, but a symbol nonetheless, which makes the aircraft, while maybe not imposing on its own, come off so much more violent and scary
But then that's getting into anthropology, so yeh

Like the nose of the MiG-29 or Su-27 series looks really imposing, and just makes the planes really sleek but also kinda scary yk? Like the A-10 isn't scary to other pilots, but seeing it from the ground fills pretty much anybody with dread, NATO/UN soldiers and civilians alike
