@000007 The name is not even 'susyphus', it's 'sisyphus', jeez, very forced "joke". I named the boat after a Greek mythological figure who was punished by Hades to push a boulder up a hill for all eternity. I figured it'd be fitting for a tugboat whose job is to push ships around in a port all day long.
You should let this sus meme go, it is waaay overused and boring, not to mention that you really had to force it in this case
@DEADSHOT14 Yes, but I sent you a link to an unlisted post with the bridge equipment (click on the blue 'Here' on my first reply), that's just 112 parts and it only has the EOT, the Wheel and the Compass
As others said already, mod support is not possible on iOS and Android anymore and there is nothing Jundroo can do about that apart from implementing mods into the game as vanilla features. "Why don't you make small updates with the integration of major mods"
They did:
Overload
Fine Tuner
Glass
Cannon
Blueprints
and there are probably more that I'm forgetting about
These used to be mods, but Jundroo implemented them so that everyone can use them. Between two whining-for-mods posts, you could at least give them some appreciation for that effort.
Many mods are also often very unstable and can cause crashes even on PC (for example the Tracks2 mod crashed my old laptop multiple times in the past), so imagine what would they do on some of the more potato mobile devices. Then we'd get another wave of whining to Jundroo that "mah phone is crashing, Andrew fix da game!".
To properly implement these, Jundroo would first have to fix them and make them stable enough to match the SP's level of quality. Needless to say, this'd be a huge task to do and certainly not an easy one.
And then comes the problem of which mods to implement? To quote you "Funky Trees are cool, but not what I really wanted.", but others did, you may be wishing for Tracks2 or some other mod, but then there are others who don't care about those just like how you don't care about FT.
So, naturally, Jundroo has to select which are the features that have the widest range of usability: FunkyTrees and Fuselage Cutting is exactly this, perfect features to be used for many many things. Meanwhile, Tracks2 could only be used for a single purpose and that purpose is not really related to aircraft either (and no matter how great of a sandbox SP is and how many possibilities there are in it, the primary scope of the game is still aircraft building), so Tracks2 should be around the last mods to be implemented.
TL;DR
- Mods are not possible to add on iOS and Android (and Jundroo can't do anything about it)
- They did implement some mods into the game
- They can't implement every single mod because it'd be very hard and not worth the effort
- They need to be selective about the stuff they add: They are focusing on features that are widely usable and are related to aircraft in some way (afterall, the game is called simplePLANES)
@MintLynx Most of the tank isn't made by him tho, check out the predecessors. He just improved on it which is great but the base was made by someone else. still nice work with the additional details
@WarHawk95 I'm even more upset cuz I was 2 tanks away from it. I only needed the Tiger II H and the (now also removed) Tiger II 10.5 cm, and then I could start researching it... on the other hand I was also 2 tanks away from the Panther II which was also removed... I was so close...
@Jim1the1Squid @CCCP ze Oberkommando der Wehrmacht issued an order to repel ze enemy invasion. Fire at ze Allied forces with everything you have Kameraden!
@Jetliner101 The swastika used to be a symbol of divinity and spirituality in the Eurasian cultures (mainly in Hinduism and ancient China)
Tho not all of them are like the nazi swastika. The Hindu one for example often features 4 additional dots as well
Imo, it would have been much cooler if they asked players to model some simple cars in SP and then used those as assets. Maybe they could have made a challenge and the top 20 or something cars could have made it into SP2 as ai cars
looks like that aerosultan guy discovered ai generated music now lmao
I wish I had as much free time as him, trying to start a whole revolution just because he was banned from a plane game for breaking the rules. If only he put this effort into more useful things
A bit more info would probably help in the search: What even was your first build (as in, what vehicle/some other thing was it?), roughly when did you upload and when did you delete it? If you have any images of it, that could probably help too.
Also, if you'd somehow still have the link for it, we could try checking it on web archive and see if it was archived by any chance
Not sure about this but I guess it's connected to the fact that an A13 is not exactly a beefy phone to begin with
SP1 is already abandoned by the devs, there will not be any future updates for it, the devs announced this on the last update of the game.
SP2 will very likely be more demanding performance-wise, as it will have somewhat better graphics than SP1, so if your phone already struggles with SP1, it likely won't get better with SP2.
It's highly unlikely, in fact, I'm certain that SP2 won't require constant internet connection. It would only make sense if the game was multiplayer-only, but SP2 is not going to be multiplayer-only. MP will only be an extra, optional featue, so you are only required internet connection when you do want to use MP or when you want to upload/download planes, but if you just want to build and play alone in the sandbox, that will certainly be possible without internet connection.
What?! Using labels is dying and is being hated?? damn, I still use it a ton, it's one of the most useful parts for partcount saving (I'm pretty sure some of my latest ships would be double the partcount if I had to manually build all the things that I solved with just a few labels).
The PEA trend was a bit annoying after a while, but it seems to be dying down now, I see fewer and fewer of them. The idea itself would have been great, to promote efficient part use, but it was just terribly misused by the majority of the players (respect to the exception) because most people werent actually building efficient builds under PEA, they just made low part, low detail stuff with no effort put into actually efficent part use. Most of them were just what we used to call "mobile-friendly" but now branded as PEA.
Another trend that was really annoying was when all those "add a part (or parts) and pass on" posts were blowing up. They flooded the website and were very spammy.
The Andrew label image posts were a bit annoying too. The first few were funny but it became boring and repetitve very quickly
@Default4 Let'S take a look at some of Chii's original PEA builds, I think they represent what PEA should be about very well.
Take a look at this one:
- uses labels for the roundels
- uses sliced fuselages to make the structural beams on both sides on the wing (also for the landing gear as well)
- uses a single part with different edges to make that curved cover for the wheels
- uses a fuselage cone for the structure behind the pilot
- uses curved edge fuselages for the tail fins
Or look at this one:
- once again, it uses slicing at multiple places to save on parts (including the structural beams of the engines, or the windows on the side)
- uses a single stretched ball part for the engine pods
- curved edge fuselages on the tail fins to add just a little bit of extra detail
Both of these builds also represent the shape and look of the aircraft very well (I didn't match them up with blueprints but I'm willing to assume if I did, they'd match up perfectly. This is another thing I often see about recent PEA builds, that they are just eyeballed and not bothering to actually follow the aircraft's dimensions) and they use some creative solutions to add just a little bit more detail to the build, or to save on parts. They are "genius" in terms that they use very clever solutions to actually lower the part count as much as possible. Most recent PEA builds wouldn't do these. If you don't mind, I don't want to go through the recent brainrot PEAs to find one newer example of what I'm talking about, but I hope you get the idea.
Yep, meme builds tend to get the most attention on the website. My most upvoted build (Ever Given) is also one that was a popular meme at the time I posted it
@Zaineman The website also counts every download, even if it comes from the same user, so it might be that some people downloaded multiple times too (for example if they forgot to save it, or changed something and wanted to get the original again etc)
Not sure if I should be proud that my build is included in this as the "Much better tiger", or get offended for being called a "military otaku" because of it (I know it's just a joke)
I don't know where I am rn tho because I shifted to ship building... and I guess the tech tree is accurate then, because everyone always forgets about ship builders
@TakicraftCorporation Igyekeztem belemenni amennyire csak lehet (meg amennyire a gépem bírta), hogy ez legyen az abszolút mesterművem (nos, amíg valami mással felül nem múlom)
@Mach99999 Apple must have developed miniature portable nuclear reactors, also the lot of wheel spinning is the result of it being realistically set: in real life, the wheel would have needed to be turned 4 times to one direction for the rudder to go hard over
Hmm, maybe my first battleship replica, the SMS Saint Stephen. It's very outdated by my- and by the game's overall current standards (for example it still uses boom25s for cannons because there was no cannon part back then) and I'll probably rebuild it at some point, but I still think it turned out quite well considering my skill level at the time and I expected it to get a little bit more attention
Fired a few salvoes at them with one of my attleships. The lead ship capsized but didn't sink, one of the side ships sank (and broke in half while doing so) and the other got heavily damaged but didn't sink, it was put off of its course and washed ashore. The whole thing looked very cinematic.
Well done! Great build!
Common sense: "No you can't drift a 60 ton tank, that is physically impossible and stupid"
Ooarai Girls' Academy Automotor Club: "Allow us to introduce ourselves"
@MonsNotTheMonster shoot, I forgot you were already in the server lmao my bad
And yea, that method takes a bit of practice but if you can get it right, it's gets the best results that are currently possible to do in SP
The current most efficient and best looking method is to use sliced hollow fuselages: you slice the bottom of a circular hollow fuselage to 50%, one side of it to 50% as well, and the top to 93%. You then use this to make the flare of the bow by adding more segments: the wider you make the part, the more pronounced the flare is. It might sound a bit complex written like this, but we made a nice tutorial (among other useful tutorials about ship building) in the Port SP discord server, feel free to join, we are always happy to help a new ship builder learn (you can find an invite to it in my bio)
@AndrewGarrison Regarding the "All Time" button, is there a chance for it to return on the page where the user filters by a tag? Since there are significantly fewer posts shown like that, I believe it would still be useful to have the all time posts shown there.
Also regarding tags, would it be possible to implement a system that allows to filter using multiple tags? Currently it is only possible to filter by one tag but it would be helpful to allow searches with more tags at once, so we can search for more specific builds.
@LunarEclipseSP Pretty good guess actually:D
The Bravado Greenwood was based on the 1977 Dodge Monaco (or at least according to the GTA Wiki) whereas my car is losely based on the 1975 Plymouth Fury. Both Dodge and Plymouth were under Chrysler so their cars had a lot in common and the Monaco and Fury are pretty much the same on the outside.
@YarisSedan Unfortunately, this solution presents some problems too:
1. How could they generate IDs for people who already purchased SP1 (becuase for this system to work, SP1 needs to have this feature too because the devs announced that both games will be using this website), they'd need to confirm all exsiting accounts one-by-one or ask the players to cofirm themselves.
2. Jundroo is a small team and this solution is a niche solution for a niche problem (it's not like the website is currently in anarchy because of a few ban evaders, mods usually deal with them as soon as they become a big enough problem), so Jundroo would probably waste time allocating resources to developing this instead of more important features
3. How could you match up accounts for people who have the game on multiple platforms (for example, I have the game both on Steam and on Android, which would mean I would have 2 IDs, which one would I have to use?)
4. As I said, pirates (and thus alts too) could circumvent this by all using the same one ID that they somehow get their hands on (this can be partially solved by setting a limit to how many accounts on ID can register but then there would probably be some other flaw that Im not thinking of rn) so again, it's a lot of effort for a feature that could still be circumvented if someone is dedicated enough.
Hence why I said that Jundroo will likely never make this. It's far easier to just have the moderator team investigate them case-by-case and try to keep things in check manually
@Boeing727200F Also dont forget that using alts to evade bans (so like, if one's main account gets banned and they use an alt account to stay active) is also not allowed. Gotta type this out because recently I've seen way too many users think that if they get banned they can just return with an alt like nothing happened and then be surprised when the mods ban their alts too (and make the original ban's time longer as well)
I have multiple: ShiroNeko, EternalDarkness and LocalDealer, all insanely good ship (and other stuff) builders. MisterT and PlanariaLab for their impressive work with mods and FT respectively. L1nus for his brilliant cars (he has amazing planes too but Im more interested in his cars)
Edit: I just realized this should only be about people who were active this year so I removed Weaverfish, the rest still apply
Yeah, it's been around for some time, my first few ships use flares as secondary weaponry. They are especially useful against the AI fleets because the game doesn't register it as weaponry so the ships wont shoot back when you shoot at them with flares.
@000007 The name is not even 'susyphus', it's 'sisyphus', jeez, very forced "joke".
