@Ruskiwaffle1991 it probably didn’t crash because with normal bombs, their explosion sprite is only a 2D image, that changes depending on how you look at it, giving it the illusion of being 3D. With missiles however, their explosions are actually 3D rendered, and the higher you put the explosionScale value, the more particles there are, which makes them a lot laggier than normal explosions.
@Timothius basically, if a part with enough mass hits a damagable entity such as the IceBase’s turrets, it can actually do damage to the health pool they have. And since my Tic-Tac UFO can accelerate downwards at several thousand mph, that’s like, 1,000 something pounds moving at, let’s say 20,000mph, which is more than enough crushing force to pulverize the turrets!
@Nerfaddict ah ok, makes sense. And hey, perhaps in the future we’ll find a way to make things as light as a feather, even if built with typically heavy materials.
@MIAW26PERSIAN nah, none of it looks “weird” per say, I was just commenting on the shape of this aircraft’s nose, and how it almost sorta angles upwards, which you’ve replicated nicely.
While messing around with the IceBase and the ridiculous maneuverability of my Tic-Tac UFO, I discovered something pretty neat. Basically, if you destroy the missile turrets and the laser designators, and then leave beyond render distance, they respawn!
Pretty good replica, missile reserves are a little excessive, but that’s ok for higher end devices I suppose. Maneuverability is absolutely ridiculous, especially with the gyro on. It should be a helluva lot slower in terms of rolling and pitching. No custom landing gear, but I suppose that’s alright. Also, the size is slightly inaccurate; the actual wingspan of the aircraft would’ve been roughly 1,120ft, whereas this one is almost 2,150ft, about the same as my XFWAC lol.
@KwasmoTheAPFDSround define unstable, maybe you’re just not good at flying. Also in regards of this build, it’s a WWI era aircraft, it’s not gonna be the most stable thing in the air.
@Inuyasha8215 of all the things you’ve chosen to spotlight, you pick this old, stupid creation of mine that has absolutely no effort put into it. There’s so many things that would’ve been much better to spotlight, yet you waste it on this piece of shit creation. I’m both impressed and disappointed by the audacity.
@Gustisuardita Thanks, initially I actually built it to be normal sized, about 50ft in wingspan. Then, once all the details were in place, I scaled it up using FineTuner, and made it the desired size that I wanted. Afterwards, I tinkered with the flight model and other important things that are usually affected by size, and that’s kinda it.
@Stinky trust me, it’s not. This guy’s building skill is pretty damn good for his rank, and I’ve seen a lot of his other builds before, and this looks pretty on par with his other creations, if not better.
I’m a little confused on what you’re talking about here, can you elaborate possibly?
@FlyingPatriot T?

@Suryansh21 a little confusing for a first impression, but can you link me the creation so I can help?
@Mostly yeah, it’s a shame that the actual explosion only lasts for a few seconds, albeit a few minutes when you have 1 FPS lol.
@scratch heh yeah, I actually got the inspiration for that little idea from you, it just so happened that I discovered something extra as a result
Honestly the biggest explosion I think I’ve ever seen in SP without the game instantly crashing
It’s a lightsaber!
@asteroidbook345 yeah, that looks amazing!
It’d be cool if there was actual moon gravity somehow
@RandomUser09 yes, why?
This is absolutely amazing looking for only 4 days of work, stunning job!
@RandomUser09 yeah the Chengdu J-20 looks nothing like the F-22 lol, you are indeed right
Absolutely gorgeous, it’s so smooth and beautiful!
The cockpit design of this thing looks like the SR-71 and honestly that just makes it even more badass
@ws couldn’t be me
Holy cow dude, you’ve basically completely rebuilt SimplePlanes at this point, words cannot describe how amazing this is!
Absolutely
Try making a UFO, or a flying wing that’s just too damn massive

Oh my god it’s beautiful
This thing has some interesting controls, and an even more interesting nose section!

Looks great! And the low part count makes it even better.
@RandomUser09 I guess I could, it’s just that it would look more fitting on the iconic Fokker Dr.1
No it means eggs and candy and rabbits for some reason, idk who jesus is but he sounds like a cool guy! :DDDDD
That’s Smooth!
DAYUM
boi
, heT H I C C
Lockheed Martin CL-1201, for those wondering
Oh wow! I too am making this, good luck on yours!
@KwasmoTheAPFDSround well yeah, WWI Fighter Aircrafts aren’t made to do barrel rolls at low altitudes!
@Urocyon thanks!
@KwasmoTheAPFDSround wdym? It works fine for me, what physics setting are you using?
@KwasmoTheAPFDSround define unstable, maybe you’re just not good at flying. Also in regards of this build, it’s a WWI era aircraft, it’s not gonna be the most stable thing in the air.
@Dazare I still can’t see it!
I’m sorry but how is this entire thing only 5 grams in weight
@Inuyasha8215 of all the things you’ve chosen to spotlight, you pick this old, stupid creation of mine that has absolutely no effort put into it. @Ruskiwaffle1991 I don’t care.
@MidnightSun ok then
I’m impressed that this has only 100 parts, amazing job!
Wait, on SP or IRL?
@MidnightSun oh really now? Who were you, I might remember if it sparks anything
@Gustisuardita Thanks, initially I actually built it to be normal sized, about 50ft in wingspan. @Gustisuardita I highly doubt that a Flak 88 would ever have a chance of bringing this thing down.
MP looks so fun
Nah those tires are there for when they need a spare, you never know!
