@SimplyElegant I think joining multiplayer is kinda obvious tho? Just click the fly button on the main menu and it will give you the option.
Also, define “mid”.
And could you include your specs? I’m trying to get an idea of the type of performance people can expect on different hardware. If you don’t know I would take a link or a model number.
SP2 Bug: if you load a very high part-count craft such as the Yamato, it will cause the game to crash. The game loads your plane when you open it, so if you’re trying to load a really difficult-to-run build it will never load the main menu. This requires deleting the game data folder (in LocalLow/Jundroo) to reset.
@ToeTips yeah I plan to cover them in my video actually, I probably won't give detailed feedback on them but I'll establish what type of thing works well and what doesn't.
@SILVERPANZER unfortunately I don’t really play the game anymore and my presets are out of date so it’s quite a lot of effort to make these screenshots so I try to avoid it.
@Graingy I was a little worried that I just lived under a rock (that was a long time ago and I would have been pretty young after all) so I was relieved to find that was an extremely niche thing lol
@StockPlanesRemastered higher end integrated graphics I would expect to get 60+ fps on this game at medium settings, which is an educated guess. They have said that it runs well on the Steam Deck, for instance. However the people playing on lower end hardware will likely be disappointed. And that number is likely pretty high, there’s probably a good chunk of people playing because their hardware runs the game well.
I don’t think consumption rates change with power multiplier so you could use an more efficient jet engine (J15) and then use hidden props or something to bring the consumption levels up to the correct amount. I think a liter weighs about 0.8 kg in this game, so you have about 1144 L of fuel, which you need to burn at a rate of 104 L/minute or 1.73 L/second so you could use a J50 and a couple sneaky T1000s to get pretty close.
This is all napkin math that may be incorrect, I think you should be able to do your own calculations tho
@Graingy that’s really stupid. It happening with 2 SSDs is really surprising to me though honestly.
Good luck.
Arch is a version of Linux that is heavily memed on.
@Graingy oh dang that adds up fast.
If you save that up you would have either a healthy fund to pay a repair shop or by the time this computer starts to get slow a brand new one. Seems to have come in clutch here though.
@Graingy I find your lack of self-confidence…
Disturbing.
Anyway you could try and fix it yourself, or overpay some dood at a computer shop to fix it, the choice is yours but it ain’t a catastrophic error. Or you could mail it to me. I wouldn’t complain 🤪
@Graingy you can still check the BIOS tho, my guess is your bootloader is working but the OS partition is corrupted. It’s worth checking since it’s free and the BIOS should at the very least tell you what’s going on. The Linux thing would not be super hard, just download a Lubuntu ISO, use Rufus to put it on a USB drive, stick the USB drive in, then spam your BIOS key to get open the spot where you can change the boot order. From there it will boot into a working windows-like OS, and at the very least you can try and recover some files and upload them to Google Drive or something. Sounds hard, I promise it’s not. Doing more complicated stuff like seeing if the drive is broken is a bit more tricky but not too bad. Trust me, I didn’t know how to do this stuff six months ago and now I daily drive Linux.
@Graingy the BIOS loads before the operating system (whatever’s on the drive).
Basically when the computer is trying to start, spam the hotkey to open your BIOS (depends on manufacturer, you can Google it) and then poke around in that menu to see if you can find your drive (again, you can Google this). If you can’t get into the BIOS your computer is cooked. If you can it’s just a drive issue (I would be shocked if you couldn’t get into the BIOS)
Alternatively use Rufus and a thumb drive on another computer and you can boot the computer from that thumb drive to use Linux to diagnose the issue (again Google this, it’s pretty straightforward just Google “boot Linux from thumb drive” or something like that)
@V spot on advice, I will say going into the BIOS and checking if the drive shows up is a good first step before opening up the case.
Heck, your estimate of cost might be high, you can get a 1TB MP44L for $50 which is a very good drive.
@Croozier Menu bar>airplanes>search lets you search everything on the site. It’s lowkey not the best and it’s kind of hidden away which is dumb but it can help you find stuff more quickly than making forum posts. Also the useful links forum post is pretty sweet.

@ToeTips yooo I saw your forum post, what a great idea
Update: I will also try out any builds in the comments of this forum, I won’t give feedback on them all but I will try to establish some trends.

@YarisSedan server browser name moderation too.

@Graingy the 12 launched in 2020 but mine was manufactured in 2021
@Graingy my iPhone 12 is probably going to explode if it tries to run that, and honestly it’s likely more powerful than the average SP player’s 😭

Ok take a spotlight for this attempt at advertising
Yes, this is my daily driver now, although we are currently doing some maintenance on it.
I forgot how garbage this thing flies 😭
@ollielebanania I didn’t think about input limiting, I suppose my technique would be easier but yours would be more precise
Fuel Consumption rates in Liters per second:
T1000 - 0.11
T2000 - 0.4
T3000 - 0.7
Blasto J15 - 0.4
Blasto J50 - 1.5
Blasto J90 - 2.1
Blasto VTOL - 1.75
BFE150 - 4.0
BFE300 - 4.5

@SupremeDorian that website is glorious
@Graingy no you’re thinking of “Song 3” by Stone Sour
@V idk man, I just found it through Andrew’s bug report posts. If it wasn’t supposed to be shared they should have hidden it a smidge better
@Johnnyynf yeah you're probably right
@Offroadman67 magnets 🧠
It only has ads when you are logged out. That said, it has quite a lot of said ads which are very intrusive imo
@Graingy might be a bit overblown, this was the one thing I found that said it was actually an issue
@Graingy maybe. Apparently Windows had an update lately that was bricking people’s PCs so maybe that happened too
@Graingy that’s really stupid. It happening with 2 SSDs is really surprising to me though honestly.

@Graingy
Computers = pain (I use Arch btw, pretty much a cult at this point)

@Graingy oh it’s one of those “pay 10 bucks extra and we’ll fix your computer things”
@Graingy if its covered under warranty how does it cost money?
@Graingy yo that’s actually the move

sorry for yelling, just wanted to get people's attention. Should account for most things that don't work in this old guide

Would you kill a random person off the street if it was going to save the life of 10
other random people?
@Mrcooldude he had the name before me but I didn’t know that when I made mine, total coincidence lol
@Mrcooldude dangit
@Graingy roasted
@Graingy are you so perpetually on Reddit that you know what this is?
Where’d all the time go by Dr. Dog.
How were we supposed to guess the song based on “ba ba ba”s?
@Mrcooldude die
this one also prolly needs to be taken down if that’s the rule we’re following
@keiyronelleavgeek566 Theres software like X360ce or xoutput or maybe built in steam features that might be able to help
