GE Steeple Cab + Steelmill Gondola w/ Crane & GATX Tanker Car

105k RailfanEthan  6.6 years ago

That's a big name. Use on Railway Mod by TrainDude.

Creds: TrainDude for trucks, alexchub1 for RPM gauge, and Avro683Lancaster for the wonderful background

The GE Steeple Cab is perhaps one of the most unique trains ever built. The uncommon cupola design gave it the advantage of visbility in a 360 degree view. Several class 3 railroads (lower and local companies) used them, ranging from shunting duties to industrial routes. Attached to this locomotive is a steelmill gondola with coils and a crane, which has a box of secret military grade battle monkeys. Behind that is a GATX fuel car, which probably wouldn't pass FRA inspection.

Controls:
1 and 2 activates headlights
3 enables interior hanging lamp
4 + VTOL moves sander (aesthetic)
Trim is throttle
Landing Gear raises pantographs

Changelog of additions/improvements since previous GE Steeple Cab (deleted):
Engine
-added plates/panels
-screws/bolts for plates
-RPM gauge added
-brake cylinder handle fixed
-lights fixed
-engine increased from 200hp to 500hp
-safety railings added on hoods
-nose ladders added
-chains added

Gondola
-removed second gondola
-added cranee (nonfunctional)
-battle monkey crate added, swings from crane
-weight slightly tweaked
-basic crane control panel added

Tanker
-added
-features end of train light
-ladder added

Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure there's one of these that Pacific Electric owned on display in LA, it's really goofy looking

@tsampoy all you have to do is set the rotators to turn at 15 degrees on roll/yaw and have the couplers powered

@RailfanEthan Could you make each train have a “non railway mod” version please?
