Electro-Motive Divison GP38-2

105k RailfanEthan  4.6 years ago

Use on the Railway Maps!

You can spawn in train cars from this page under the category Rolling Stock and haul them.

.

The GP38-2 is one of the most successful locomotives in American railroad history. This engine was practical, dependable, and had enough horses to haul bum. Railroads favored how useful GP38-2's were in pairs, and at the same time these could be used for yard work.

.

This train is available in two simplified paint schemes to allow for longer trains. This post has a single GP38-2 in Maine Central paint.
Other available posts
-Pair of 3 MEC engines
-Burlington Northern single engine

UPDATE
New liveries added:
Milwaukee Road single and triple units are now available.

I encourage people to make variations!
(two is lowkey kinda boring)

.

Controls
1 is main lights (for triple set, 2 is rear lights)
3 blasts horn
7 activates coupler-magnets
Trim is throttle
Brake slows you down

How to use AI as Rolling Stock
-Download train cars
-Spawn as a locomotive
-Spawn in train cars as AI (Some may be too long and will require a new location to be made)
-Activate magnets with 7
-Reverse slowly (5mph and under)
Connect and full send into a corner!

.

Enjoy!

@PositivePlanes yeah snowblower trains had massive fans that threw snow to the sides. I have made a plow train before, but not a rotary

Could you possibly turn one of my trucks into a hi-rail or whatever those trucks with train wheels are called, as I can't find the railroad designer or basic train axles to use (forgive me as I know very little about trains and other rail road things)
