The Build

I love this combo of aircraft and paint scheme (presented below), and when I have seen the Mirage 2000P of RicardoAce, I though it would make a good base to make a Mirage 2000D.
So what did I do ? First, after downloading the mirage, I started by the most important: transform it into a two-seater. The exterior part was done in several hours. Then I modified a bit the livery and added some labels. I upgraded some parts of the aircraft and added some, like landing gear suspension, lights... Then I came back to the cockpit, to make the interior. The old cockpit was probably based on the Mirage 2000-5, so I made big changes to make a 2000D cockpit. I also realized the cockpit of the back seat (in France, it is the place of the "NOSA", navigator and warfare systems officer). I've also made a more realistic looking afterburner that saved a lot of parts. Finally, I did a lot of work to make a realistic flight model. It is not perfect, but according to several people, it is well better than most of the Mirages that we can find on simpleplanes.com. Besides, I realized a system of my own creation that reproduces the lost of effiency in braking at high speed.

The Mirage 2000

In 1972, the French Air Force launched the ACF program for a fighter aircraft with 2 Snecma M53 engines and a fixed wing. This program pushed Dassault to design the Mirage G series, which will never been accomplished. The program was closed, however, Dassault had started the study of another fighter with their own funds: the Mirage 2000.
4 prototypes were ordered in 1976, and a two-seater version for training, the 2000B, was ordered in 1977. The two 30mm cannons which originally equipped the fighter had to be removed, and the fuel tank reduced.
In 1979, the French Air Force ordered a version made for bombing and close air support, the 2000N, but also for a more important role: to carry a nuclear missile (ASMP). The Mirage 2000N has a very useful terrain tracking radar, the Antilope V, which allows it to fly at 600 knots and 200 feets.
Finally, in 1980, the French Air Force launched the developpement of a version based on the 2000N, able to drop guided bombs and air-to-ground missiles, the 2000D. It made its first flight in 1991. This version is equipped with the Snecma M53 P2, capable of 97 kN of Thrust, which propels it at mach 1.4. The 2000D can weigh 16500 Kg (MTOW). Since 2021, the 2000D fleet of the French Air Force are refurbished (RMV upgrade), with new upgrades like avionics, and now it can carry a pod of two 30mm cannons.

Display

Until 2017, the French Air Force presented their tactical demonstrations with the Ramex Delta team equipped with two 2000N. Because of the retirement of the 2000N, the team was moved in the 3rd fighter wing with two 2000D, and renamed Couteau Delta. Their display is quite particular, because all their maneuvers displayed are used in real combat situations, and have already served, like in the Afghanistan combat theater. Most of their displays take place in France, but also in Europe like at the RIAT and Cosford airshow in UK, Beja in Portugal...
The 3 may 2017, a ceremony took place to celebrate 30 years since the Ouadi Doum raid, and for the occasion, the 2000D 3-XN was painted with a "vanilla-chocolate" livery similar to the Mirage F1s which accomplished the raid. This 2000D was used for the Couteau Delta display for the year 2017. Sadly this Mirage has now returned to its original livery...
Fun fact: I've seen this display for the first time... two weeks ago (no joke)

Controls are included in-game.

Finally, I hope you will enjoy my build (to be right, modification), and have fun !

@EDEN971 It's okay for me but maybe ask permission to @RicardoACE
You have 4 colors to change for the livery, not 2, because some parts of the aircraft are more reflective.
