The Horten Ho IX (sometimes referred to as Gotha Go 229) is a late-war German aircraft that was the true definition of 'wunderwaffe'. It was a premiere in aircraft history: it was a flying wing, stealth aircraft. It didn't have any sort of vertical or horizontal stabilizers. It was also made out of wood. The painting was made by using charcoal, thus further reducing radars' capability of detecting the plane.

Two prototypes were made: a test glider and a jet-powered variant, known as the Ho IX V2. It flew a few times around February-March 1945, until one of the engines burnt out in the middle of a flight. A third prototype, known as the V3, was being made by the Gothaer Waggonfabrik who redesigned some aspects of it. The V3, although incomplete, was captured by advancing American forces in April of 1945. It now rests at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Maryland, USA.

During takeoff, throttle to full power and pull the lever down (aka 'hold the S key')

During flight, be careful while turning and pitching at the same time (aka 'slight horizontal instability'). It is also advised to adjust the horizontal ailerons in order to compensate for the slight nose tipping.

While landing, make sure to throttle down the engines to about 30-35% power and slightly pitch the nose down, but not by a lot. Always hit the ground with the back wheels. Once you've done that, make sure to activate the parachute (AG 1).

The aircraft features two 30mm MK 108 autocannons which shoot 45 rounds each at a rate of 8 rounds/second. Once all 90 rounds have been fired, the guns will be reloaded for the next 7.5 seconds, after which they can be used yet again.
