Apocalypse Ramp Car V.2

Born in a dystopian society, he rules these rule-less highways with his vehicle of chaos.

Decorated with the graffiti of a post-apocalyptic life, with a luxury interior, he strikes fear into the eyes of all survivors. 3-Inch bulletproof glass, sturdy reinforced armor, and a pleasant air-freshener for interior comfort keep him comfortable and at home with his chariot of death.

He needs no weapons, all he needs is speed. An extremely light chassis, an absolute piss-off Titanium Steel Alloy Ramp, and a V-12 Racing engine with Nitrous, are all he needs to send the opposition to kingdom come.

Up for a game of “chicken” anyone?

Greetings y’all, today I bring to you a vehicle inspired partially by the Ramp Buggy from GTA V, and the wonderful game that is Crossout, a post-apocalyptic vehicular warfare game where you can build your own armored car, and use it to fight in battle with other players. The Ramp-Car concept wouldn’t work very well with the damage module of Crossout and how things get destroyed, but in an irl scenario, one can only imagine how much it would do.

Actually wait, why imagine, when you can just do it in SP! So without further ado, I bring forth to you the perfect vehicle for the dystopian world.

Controls:

Pitch and Roll controls to drive, AG-1 opens up the roof for entering and exiting the vehicle. AG-2 for headlights, you certainly wanna see in the wasteland at night, especially with the bandits here and about. The vehicle also has brakelights, although these are pretty much useless in a dystopian society. They do look very pretty though, most survivors find it hard to resist the bright red lights, like moths to a flame. AG-3 for an interior fan, it doesn’t do much to cool you down, but it keeps you company and produces nice white noise. Found in an abandoned shop, a small air freshener keeps the interior feeling like home. Oftentimes in the wasteland, you’ll find yourself in a particularly bumpy area, difficult to navigate in a relatively smooth manner. The ramp car is incredibly low to the ground, which would make traversing said terrain nearly impossible. However, the installation of Variable-Ride-Height allows this vehicle to raise higher off the ground, granting easier off-roading capabilities. Operate this mechanism via VTOL Slider.

This vehicle certainly lives up to its name, as half of the entire structure is dedicated to a menacing ramp, sure to send flying those unfortunate enough to be hit by it. Thick bulletproof glass deflects and absorbs most bullets from machine guns, and even some smaller cannon rounds as well, as well as cushioning the shock of having another vehicle launch off of you. The chassis of this vehicle is very light, reinforced with strong materials only at weak points. Equipped with a top-of-the-line racing engine, and additional nitrous for extra speed, this vehicle can achieve speeds that even multimillion dollar supercars will envy you over. And because launching other cars obviously isn’t enough, the car has two bladed-wheels at the front, made for tearing through the tires of other cars, and occasionally the car itself. (won’t actually do anything to another vehicle in game, but they look cool I think)

Known Bugs:
- While using variable ride height feature, the car tends to drift to one side while stationary, reason unknown.
- The fan can glitch out at high speeds, which doesn’t really affect anything but it looks weird. Also it tends to spool up whenever you drive, even when deactivated, simply because there’s airflow going through it. Obviously, this wouldn’t happen irl, nor can I fix the problem in-game, due to how SP works.
- Sometimes the wheel blades twitch a little bit while turning, this isn’t a majorly debilitating problem, I’d just prefer that it didn’t do that.

Credit to Juanfly for the FT Code in the wheel blades, y’all should check out their builds too if you like cars, as they’re a helluva lot better than I am, possibly the best on the entire website.

That is all, smaller description fo’ da day.

Have Fun!

This is an overhaul of my original ramp car, I saw it fitting to give it a second chance and recreate the vehicle, with my more experienced knowledge on how the game works.

@TurtlesThatFly thanks, whenever I do custom cockpits I try to make sure every function of the vehicle/aircraft is visible inside the cockpit.

@AWESOMENESS360 I for one appreciate the work that you did for those, and they came out super duper clean. Coming from someone that is also an artist.
(Edit: Downloading this I also like the interior details like the fan and the switches! I like your attention to detail)

@TurtlesThatFly thanks, I think you’re the first one to mention those. I worked my arse off on that dripping nuclear sign and the biohazard sign, and nobody said anything about it lmao

@Heneepr nah, a bus would break down too easily. If it were me, I’d want a massive truck, not like an 18 Wheeler Hauler, but a military grade truck, like those huge fuel trucks or the Missile carrier trucks, they’d last a lot longer and if refitted with weapons, could become a devastating threat in an apocalypse scenario. However, I am imagine that despite their weight, the ramp car could probably flip one over with relative ease.

@JustLookingForFriends probably won’t disintegrate, but it would definitely launch itself into the air a good height without the variable ride height.
