WILL NOT WORK ON LOW PHYSICS. USE MOBILE VERSION INSTEAD
Read the backstory for an understanding of all the airplane's functions
Mobile Version
I am very proud to finally present my F-137C Phoenix! I spent almost 3 weeks on this plane, and it has paid off! I consider this my best airplane yet. Without further ado, here's the introduction:

Instruction Manual

Normal flight controls
VTOL Input: None
Trim Input: Flaps
Switch 1: Airbrake/Speed brake
Switch 2: Afterburner
Switch 3: ETSG (Extreme Temperature Shrapnel Gun)
Switch 4: Missile door
Switch 5: Lights
Switch 6: Bomb bay
Switch 7: Drogue Parachute
Switch 8: Disable WAM
->Thanks to all-new Weight Assisted Manueverability technology (WAM), controllability of the plane is
drastically improved at low speeds. Disable this when the afterburner is on

Landing Tips
Throttle 10-15% Approach at under 250 MPH. Use airbrake if needed. Once touched down, brake and use the drougue chute if needed.

(Note: the F-137C is semi-carrier-capable. It can take off from a carrier, but it is difficult to land on one.)

Backstory/Feature Info

This plane is set to be created in a post-apocalyptic world in 31st century, after what people now call simply "The Apocolypse". Before then, technology was at its finest. A deep understanding in quantum physics allowed for technology and the arts to flourish. There hadn't been war for at least 200 years, and the effects of global warming were finally reversing. But, in a horrific accident in a quantum fusion power plant, a deadly "quantum virus" of sorts was released. It crippled the modern world and left billions dead. When a few only a few million people were left, the technology before The Apocalypse was inaccessable. Gangs of thugs began to rise to power, salvaging old technology way back from the 21st and 22nd century. Banding together for the greater good, the rest of the survivors created the Rebirth Federation. Naturally, they needed protection. So, copying the gangs, they looked to technology of the olden days. Eventually, the F-137C Golden Phoenix was born. With semi-stealth capabilies and ultra manueverabilty, the Phoenix was a formidable foe to anyone who stood in its way.

Pilot Comfort

The Phoenix was capable of pulling up to 17g turns without collapsing. But even a trained fighter jet pilot wouldn't be able to sustain those forces for more than a minute or so. To solve this, scientists created a drug that they pumped into the cockpit and helmet of the pilot. This drug forced blood and vital chemicals throughout the brain, allowing the pilot to sustain high g-forces without blacking out.

Armament

Even by today's standards, the Phoenix looks weak. With only a minigun, 6 small missiles and 4 tiny bombs, what could this plane do to the fortifications of the gangs? The secret is the ETSG, or the Extreme Temperature Shrapnel Gun. Mechanics gathered heaps of scrap metal that was just laying around after the Apocolypse and fed it into the Phoenix. Then, they purposefully overheated the minigun and sent the scrap though it, melting it, molding it into a torpedo shape, and firing it--all during flight. This hot mess of metal could tear through armor up to 6 inches thick, and could cause burn damage to whatever it hit.

Fuselage Shape

The shape of the fuselage created a pressure vortex on the sides at even the slightest angle of attack. This vortext sped up and traveled down the length of the plane, allowing the control surfaces to be used at low speeds, reducing the stall speed to just about 95 MPH.

Wheels

The back wheels were turnable, which is unconventional but allows the Phoenix to taxi around the now-crowded aiports of the Rebirth Federation. This allowed for a much denser storing of the Phoenix.

If you read all the way through, thank you so much!
As always, feedback is welcome.
Enjoy!

[EDIT] Thanks so much for the feature! I’m glad to know this is feature-worthy.

@Tank6376 Thanks! The gun has a slow rate of fire because the bullets do a lot of damage by themselves.
