SUMMARY

The Mil Mi-26T2V HALO, based on the Mil Mi-26 HALO, is a modernized Russian heavy-lift transport helicopter capable of carrying up to 20 tons of cargo, making it one of the heaviest and most powerful helicopters in the world. To enhance survivability in combat environments, the Mi-26T2V is fitted with the Vitebsk airborne defense suite, offering countermeasures against missiles and other threats. Designed for both military and civilian roles, it retains a five-person crew and can perform flights over unprepared routes and in challenging operational conditions.

NOTES

  • The Engines don’t start up right away, please wait around 3 seconds for it to spool up.
  • If you want to taxi on the ground, set the throttle to anywhere between 25-28% and pitch down to go forward.
  • The winch is absolutely horrible, breaks every time you try to grab something. And I’m too lazy to find a way to fix it.
  • VR capable(Hopefully).
  • There’s Countermeasures.
  • You can open the cockpit windows via the red overhead levers above their respective windows.
  • You can turn on the fans via their respective switches located near them.
  • If you want to cruise, set the throttle to around 34-40%.

    This is a good build overall, but I think flying could be better. The Tail rotor is violent, it is pulling up to 1.4G (0.4G horizontal), there is several ways to make it smoother. The winch is actually not very powerful like you said, but I have tried to transport things in it and it works well. Maybe a magnet on the back wall would be great to attach vehicles, because the ground magnets can't attach on wheels.
