"can I use a previous builds?"
Yes, but it may take away from your innovation points. Don't let that discourage you from participating. You still get 20 upvoted ATLEAST.
"how will you check for Oscillations and levelled flight?"
I'll use the debug expressions to check the variables. Some amount of flux or oscillation is forgivable, but it should be barely noticeable (I gave an estimate of - or + 2 degrees of threshold before it's too much and you start losing points.)
"What even counts as a "next gen"?"
Whatever you think follows the generation that is the F-22 Raptor, J-20 Mighty dragon, Su-57 and an so on and so forth. I've kept it still intentionally a little vague, but you're definitely looking to try and outdo these aircraft, that's for sure.
"What if I can't do stealth?"
If you can't, don't push it. You will lose some points, but perhaps can make up for it in say... Innovative ideas... or really good turn rates. Especially good if you have some alternative to stealth warfare that you can enforce.

Nevermind. I just got confirmation that I can properly announce this.
This challenge is now aided by the community manager. The other prizes are largely the same, however, the following changes will now be put into action!
First place can still expect the current prizes, only now, they will receive exactly 2500 Points Instead of the current 120 upvotes). This means the winner enjoys 170 upvotes given immediately after announcing them as them winner. (I do actually think this is like, the biggest prize on the entire site till date. XD)
Second Place, along with the current prizes for Simpleplanes 2 and the video feature, will now be getting 100 upvotes (!!!!) instead of 50, in the form of 1500 points handed straight to them once they are announced as second place!
Third place now earns 70 upvotes instead of 30 in the form of 1000 points given straight to them by the time they are announced as the 3rd place.
lastly, the challenge will now be pushed to 23rd May to accomodate for the rather massive changes and also perhaps give a push for previous potential contenders to have a go at it!
Participations awards remain completely untouched, although, I am hoping to see some really cool planes too when I open your profile. You may or may not have noticed but I've given more than promised to those participating because I genuinely simply thought they made some cool builds!

Lastly, on a more personal note. Thank you, for making this possible. Really, thank you so much. I hope I'm not being overdramatic but this one of the few things I've wanted to do since forever. I've always wanted to bring a community together for not just a challenge, but a celebration.
A massive thanks to our awesome Community Manager, @SupremeDorian who coordinated with me to make the challenge reach newer heights with this change. I mean... Nearly 200 upvotes is a massive prize.
I also want to thank the Jundroo team and the devs for working hard for years upon years to make the game that served as the platform for this challenge. Not only that, but let us play a game that served as a creative outlet and gave us a community of love and support throughout a decade long journey, which, by the way, a decade later and it's still going stronger than ever, with hype around Simpleplanes 2.
And lastly, a heartfelt thank you for all the support. I haven't said it enough, it'll have to be its own separate post.... I love you all. Thank you for making all of this possible. I am eternally grateful to the Simpleplanes community for this.

There is a slight chance I would have to extend the deadline due to certain circumstances in real life that will limit me being able to get to the results handing out by 16th.

Well with what I have in the workshop, it's a 5th gen VTOL aircraft, ideally, I would have made a 6th gen platform but it would take too much time.
@ToeTips now if you say that making a better generation than what already is the current best is hard, then congratulations, you figured out the point of the challenge. There's 15 days and 10 hours left, I personally think of the few people I've interacted with, your among the ones I think have a fair shot, or at the very least, an exciting new build for everyone to check out.
Then there's also the plus point that whatever submissions come here gets automatically sent to a group discord with 8 members.
And I've been thinking of something else... I don't think I can publicly talk about that one at all just yet though.

Thanks for the kind words too and I don't think I'll really touch the design of the 97 at least for now, I was going for a mix of russia and Asia when it came to the design.

Okay well if I want to go for podium, then I need to finish up the VTOL stealth fighter I've had for months now. Although it's only 5th gen.
@ToeTips handed out the participation award for that. Noticed it's quite far from the current criteria, focusing mostly on Flight perfomance only in forward flight and not really a stealth design or 6th gen like. Will you just keep it at this or do you think you want to give it a few changes here and there? Because you're clearly VERY experienced with Stealthy designs when it comes to planform alignment and so on (I personally actually thought your advanced hornet would've gotten you a better chance provided it had VTOL and cut the vertical stabilizers).
Either way, your current submission is really good as a stand alone plane, but it has a lot of potential changes you can quickly make to recover a lot of points that you might currently lose. (I'm really only telling you this because you seem like you can actually take a fair shot at a podium position or atleast be a runner up)

BIGGG update and changes. You have helpful forum posts now linked along with some links to a sources and stuff. There's also now a countdown and an update to the rules and style. Im circulating this post again now. Around 15 days lefts, let's see what people can pull of with all the new help as well.
@StockPlanesRemastered because if you can't read them at all then that's not a size problem... I can definitely read it, I'm on phone. I had some checks with a few other people before even putting those up. And it can't be a network issue unless you have under 3-5mbps
Still, I'll try to make sure the font is bigger next time. Furthermore, there is already a section where I'm using ordinary text. It's just WIP.

3) things like PlanariaLab's HUD are completely excused because the original ceator have express permission
dwiangaska takes some parts from Guyfolk's planes and I don't think he puts the credits in the descriptions anymore IIRC because a lot of people use those parts. I'm an example. I do mention it, because I almost always depend on them
