SR-71 Blackbird

32.8k AntiSphere  7.7 years ago

Here it is! The SR-71. A couple things to mention. Yes i know its twice as big. I couldnt get it to fly any other way. Yes i know it doesnt go Mach 3.5(it goes 1,800mph), Suck it up. Be very careful with the Pitch. if you just go full pitch you will do a super mega death U-Turn(easily recoverable, quite fun)and lose atleast half of your speed, so take it slow. Maximum speed is reached around 40K feet. However i do not reccomend that as the plane becomes difficult to control above 30K feet. around 20-25K is good. I wont bother making a mobile friendly version so here is thealban and kikasshes SR-71 https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/NO3TxG/Lockheed-SR-71A-Blackbird if you still want to fly one.

I never got to see the real thing, but I did see the A-12 Oxcart, which is basically an SR-71.

@Mudkip the fuselage block is a cylinder. I made that with panels precisely placed so they have no edges
