Mod is adapted for 1.8.
Important: before downloading new version of hover mod remove all hover parts from your hover tanks and save it. It is possible bug when your hover tank will be very away from center of the designer. And only after that attach hover part of new version. And don't forget remove old version of the mod.
Bug with depending thrust force of hover from FPS.
Yaw invert attributes.
Pitch invert become a second input controller,
Roll control and
Roll invert become a third input controller,
Yaw control and
Yaw invert become a fourth input controller.
This controllers have Activation Group 7 by default. Don't disable this controllers, if you use AS2, because errors are possible. If you don't want to use some of this input controllers, set the
pitch sensivity= 0 for second,
roll sensivity= 0 for third and
yaw sensivity=0 for fourth input controller.
Example hover craft
I present to you my new mod – Hover.
This mod contains 3 parts in Propulsion category:
1.Hover with metal texture. You can paint this, but texture will be visible.
2.Hover with default paint.
Attention!Hover need fuel for work.
Attach this block to your airplane and begin configure it.
Hover_number- number of hover. I recommend to set each hover on your craft his number. This influence to correct hover image position in game:
and vertical position of hover parameters in the designer.
Sound- enable/disable sound of hover.
Effects- enable/disable effects of hover.
Show interface- enable/disable hover image in interface.
Attention!. For correct hover image position in game the interface size must be "Normal":
Show in designer- enable/disable display hover parameters in designer.
Auto control system- type of control system: AS1 or AS2. This types will be reviewed below.
Power- power of hover.
Type of blade- type of blade. Total only 8 types:
Attention!. Change of blade don't display in designer. You will see new blade after start.
Blade count- count of blades. Maximal size-32. You can not set more even in XML file. Then blades will not display correct.
Attention!. Change of blade count don't display in designer. You will see new count of blades after start.
Blade size- width of blade.
Hover size- diameter of hover and length of blades.
Attention!If hover size more than 2,then you can't attach this block to your aircraft. I recommend at first attach this block to your aircraft, and only then change hover size and change the position of hover block:
Hover thickness-thickness of hover plate .
Attributes for AS1:
Hover high- set high of hover relativety ground.
I not recommend to set very big value of high. Then your hovercraft can become unstable:
Also, "hover high" is not alt between your hovercraft and groud. It is distance between hover longitudinal axis of hover and ground:
High sensivity- this value show how hover will try to keep high what you set. The default value 5 is good value for this attribute. But you can try change this.
High damper-damper of oscillation when hover will try to keep high what you set. The default value 20 is good value for this attribute. But you can try change this.
The system AS1 is more simpfy system of hover work and requires only 2 axis for control:
In this hover tank each hover has a 2 rotators. In this way first rotator of each hover tilt them in one direction for forward/back movement and second rotator tilt right side hovers in one direction, and left side hovers in another direction.
The input controller in the attributes of this block works like a controller of rotators or pistons. This is a usual input controller. He set the value from "Hover high". So, if your "Hover high" is 2m, the axis of input controller-throttle and throttle value in game are 0.5 (50%) then hover try to keep alt 1m. If the value of this input controller is 0, then your hover will work, fuel will burn, but your aircraft will stay on ground.
Attributes for AS2 include all attributes for AS1 and some new attributes.
Attributes for AS2:
Pitch control- enable/disable pitch control of hover.
Roll control- enable/disable roll control of hover.
Yaw control- enable/disable yaw control of hover.
Pitch invert- enable/disable pitch invert of hover.
Roll invert- enable/disable roll invert of hover.
Yaw invert- enable/disable yaw invert of hover.
Pitch sensivity- sensivity of pitch tilt.
Roll sensivity- sensivity of roll tilt.
Yaw sensivity- sensivity of yaw tilt.
The pitch/roll/yaw axis change the "hover high" what you set by the value of axis sensivity.
These pictures show you some variants how to configure hovers for AS2:
Attention!in the hover examples tank roll-yaw axis are contrariwise of roll-yaw axis in pictures. I mean, in hover tank roll axis control the turn left/right, and yaw axis control the tilt left/right for damper of slip.
Attention!. In AS2 for yaw control hovers must be a little tilt like this:
Hover on/off- Turn on/off hover. This function are useful for android users. The PC users can turn on/off hover by mouse click on the hover picture. This value "None" by default. If you set AG1-8,then mouse click will not work and hovers will be work if the AG1-8 are active and turned off if AG1-8 not active.
Critical mode- enable/disable critical mode of hover. If this mode are enable, then fuel consumption of hover increase in 3 times, hover power increase in 2 times. The hover will work in this mode 30 seconds and then explode:

Distance- set the distance from your main cockpit to hover block. If you use AS1, then you don't require to set this parameter. But if you use AS2, the value of your axis can transferred to the AI hovercraft which use hover block with AS2. It is the only way to "protect" your craft what i could think.
Power-power of hover.
S-square of all blades.
Effective alt-alt relative ground on which power of hover = 100%. If the alt relative groud larger then effective alt, then power of hover = 0%. The hover will not create thust force.
Fuel consumption-fuel consumption of hover.
The in-game fuel bar don't work if i change the fuel level via script. So, i made my own fuel bar.
Attention!. For correct fuel consumption and fuel level bar position in game the interface size must be "Normal":
Fuel consumption relative- fuel consumption relative value what you set.
Distance-set the distance from your main cockpit to fuel indicator. (work like "Distance" in hover block).
Bug with impossibility to disable effects was fixed.
Hover model was created in SolidWorks and textured in substance painter.
