A carbon cub, my dudes!
So my highschool is starting an aviation club. This dude logan brought a full sized Flitetest guinea pig into the school. And you know what's coming the 25th?

Critmis

The slow, flap enabled flying and giant tundra-tires will be great in the snow, Thanks, virginia

I want floats so i can fly by the shenandoah Beautiful river, google it

Get the Carbon Cub. I have it and it has TONS on cool features like GPS and AutoLand. It's Super easy to use and has Three modes: Beginner, Intermediate, And Expert. So yeah. Go for the carbon cub (In the pictures)

good for you! i own a few rc airplanes myself, and the eflite carbon cub is a very good trainer, but i suggest waiting on putting on floats, because i have been flying for three years and with nine planes, and i just moved onto a lake in washington, and i had bought the same floats you see in the picture u posted for my old parkzone super cub and it was really hard to get it on step and it was really scary when it was on the water, so i suggest that you get some experience under your belt before you put it on floats. but if you want to fly it off snow... put on the floats for sure!!!!

ps the way my flying usually goes is in the summer fly as much as you can and during the winter, build, repair, and fly a little bit. also: don't go near water unless you have a means available to retrieve the cub if the worst happens.

    just some tips

That's great man! Looks like a terrific RC plane to have, and a fun one. I just have a Champ, Firebird Stratos, and a small partial-functioning air force of R/C attack helicopters.

Dang, I wish my school had a Flight Club. All we have is Ping-Pong Club, and a Mexican Train-Dominos Club. (Whatever the hell that is.) I'd like to imagine that the teachers and staff actually thought to themselves for a minute, "You know, we should make clubs for students to join, to help them be social and make more friends!" Person 1 "How about a Gaming Club?" Person 2 "What about a Sports Club?" Person 3 "Lets make them play with dominos, and Ping-Pong while they pretend to actually enjoy it." Person 1 and Person 2: "He has knowledge that I never even knew existed..."

    Yep. Something like that.

Lol, have fun with your RC Plane!

Oh ok. I guess it does have a reputation as a pretty smooth river. @DepressedTortoise

    @JelloAircraftCorporation @ThePilotDude
Jello- The shanny is actually pretty calm somedays. My kayak handles like it's on wheels sometimes.

PilotDude- My grandfather was always a gas rc guy. He'd let me do things with his T-maxxes, and one day he let me fly a chief cessna AG wagon. Thing was huge and unwieldy but i eventually got a few hours down. Flown drones ever since.

@Chancey21 Another one I was tempted with was the Timber. Its basically the same plane but looks more generic and didnt look as nice as the maule

@Chancey21 Yes, that red one. Assembly is a small pain, but it looks and flies great. As of the reviews, I really like it. Like I said, looks and flies great and its so easy to do 2 point landings with. I've only flew it a few times so I have not had an issue, but they seemed pretty strong. My only complaint is the servos are sorta loose (Quite easy to move by hand) but in-flight they seem are fine. It also takes wind pretty well, because of its size and weight

I’m thinking about getting one of those, the red M-7 right? Well it gets bad reviews because the control horns are weak, have you had issues? @CRJ900Pilot

I have the Sport Cub S. It’s a fun little plane, but it really can’t handle any wind because it’s so small. Also, isn’t the shenendoah a little rough to be launching RC planes in? A lot of people fly them off of ponds or small lakes which are generally calmer.

Go with wheels first. Always learn to fly a floatplane first without the floats, as she'll behave quite different with them. Make sure you're very comfortable with the aircraft before trying to fly off water

I wish my school had a aviation club! There are so many people who like it but so little people who love it. If you know what I mean.

I'm looking forward to this Critmis so I can have an excuse to get the 1.3m Icon A5, sunset flights over the lake are gonna be awesome! I trained myself in floatplane flying on a UMX Sport Cub S and currently have the old Sportsman, what have you flown before @DepressedTortoise?
