Today is a very dark day in meme history. Stefan Karl Stefansson, known to the world as Robbie Rotten, passed away due to bile duct cancer. He had been battling it for about 2 years, and just last year it was announced that he had been cured. His GoFundMe stated that he still had the disease but he had refused adjuvant therapy. His cancer came back earlier this year and he had chemotherapy treatment to prolong his life. In April he decided to come of chemotherapy. He died today at 43 years old.
