This is a very somber installment of the SimplePlanes Weekly. It was revealed today that beloved user Mattangi has died in an military aircraft crash. Therefore, his will be the only story in today’s episode.

Rest In Peace:
”Mattangi’s friend Alex Carson announced that the adored user had indeed died in an aircraft malfunction April 5th, 2018. His plane, a F-15K Eagle, suffered twin engine failure. The pilots were able to eject, and the plane crashed into a mountain. Despite the ejection, they both died, including Mattangi. This tragic incident shows us the dangers of flight, and those that loose their lives to be up there, defending their cause.”

One of the nicest people I've met, both here and anywhere else. I'm just getting this news now, and I'm truly shaken. I know he's still up there somewhere, flying his own flight path now.
