While it might seem convenient at first, the fact that the base of fuselage cone blocks snap to the same size as whatever surface they're stuck on is more of a headache than a blessing. One could simply do this for themselves manually (as they already must for other types of blocks) if they wished, and this feature creates a considerable workaround if the builder wants the cone to be different than the surface it's stuck to.
that's why we have the feature to xml edit :P

Thanks for letting me know. I'll see if we can get this in v1.7. How about this. Once the nose cone's width or height has been manually adjusted, it will no longer auto-size on connection. That way new players can still enjoy auto-sizing.

Yeah they should let the user decided on specific blocks whether they want it or don’t want it, it’s kind of a love-hate relationship for me

Yes please. This is such a nightmare on iOS It's even worse when I'm using a scaled fuselage block and a regular nosecone, because it doesn't recognise scaling so it auto snaps to a size that doesn't even fit and i have to go look for a nosecone with the same scale somewhere on this website
